I’m new to airtable. I want to my colleagues to see the dashboard I created. Is there any option for that?
Hi, what is the hotkey to save description, records etc? e.g other services use CTRL + Enter for this.
Is it possible to add-to or append an image / attachment to an airtable cell that already contains an image / attachment? I realize that this is more than likely possible if I were to retrieve the stored airtable image first, BUT I would like to avoid this to save the time of downloading, storing locally and re-uploading the same images as that seems a bit redundant… Any ideas are appreciated! Note: Update methods just replaces the previously stored image.
Hi. I have created a template on page designer that allows me to print off labels with content from my records. Each record has up to 8 labels (split across two sheets of A4). Looks amazing but when I try to print, only the first page is printing? How do I get the additional pages to print? I have tried changing print and page sizes to ‘lengthen’ the custom page to the equivalent of two A4 sheets but it didn’t work. Is this only a one page tool?
I want to create an issues tracker base. One column will be a manually entered submission date. Column next to it will be “Time elapsed” field to show how long this issue has not been solved yet (in days). How can I calculate the “time elapsed field” in days since the date entered in the “submission date field”. I found this question here already: Counting Days Lapsed since Date Field Ask the community Hi! I am a complete newbie finding my way around. I have created a base to track work tasks, and want to create a field that will show the number of days that have passed since my task was issued. I have a “created time” field, but am unsure what to put in the other field to show the number of days passed since the created time… Hope this makes sense! Thanks, Cassie But this works only with the creation date of the entry. It’s important to me that I can select the submission date manually, so this field should be a normal date field.
Has anyone tried making custom keyboard shortcuts for Airtable? For example, to make an action like this: ‘apply a specific tag from single select field and move the focus to the next text field’. I’m wondering what could be potential approaches to achieve this.
Hello, I would like to have only one product from each category. There are two lit in stock but I want only the first one in the grid Thx for helping
I am looking to connect my Filemaker database to an Airtable base. The main purpose would be for the Airtable base to auto update, as I add new entries into my Filemaker database. Is there a way to accomplish this? So far, I have only seen ways to have Airtable data sent to Filemaker but not the other way around.
We are thinking of using Airtable as a requirements gathering tool to compliment Jira (because all the Jira plugins are terribly unintuitive and the Jira platform itself isn’t super UI friendly for those who don’t live in it every day). Simple question: Is there any way on a Jira issues page to have a reference link to a specific Airtable row? My proposed way to do this is just to hyperlink a row specifically on the description field of a Jira page, but is there a more…eloquent way to do it using the jira block?
Hi, I’m combining 2 fields (1 with date, 1 with time) into one single time+date field. Problem: when it combines the time, it switches a time that was in “pm” to “am”. Any ideas on how to solve this? many thanks :slightly_smiling_face:
I hope to create a portal for my employees to clock in/clock out using Airtable and Airpress, so I can tie their hours back to specific jobs. Is there a way to create user authentication in Airpress which would then automatically select the appropriate employee record in Airtable and allow that user to only modify records related to themselves? Thanks, Chris @Chester_McLaughlin
First—FINALLY! I have spent months looking at various online tables and database systems, and would get partway through, and felt like it just didn’t offer what we needed. I stumbled on Airtable and it is the only one that did what I was hoping with EASE and without hours and hours of figuring things out. I have 2 tables. Table 1 is client data information. Table 2 is a dates of contact. Is there a way for table 1 to display the most recent date of contact from table 2 for each individual. I attempted Max, but it did not work. I do have a look up of all the dates taken, but it shows them all, not just the most recent. I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
In my form, the first question is “Select your company name.” There is a dropdown list of all the company name choices, which draws from a separate AirTable. The next question is “Select which product you are working on.” I currently have this dropdown list of options connected to a separate AirTable that lists all the products for every company combined. What I actually want is for that dropdown list to only populate with the names of products that the individual’s company actually sells. Question: is there a way to make it so the dropdown list only shows the products actually sold by the person’s company? How do I do this? Thanks in advance!
I’m going crazy trying to figure out how to remove spaces from this ARRAYUNIQUE. Here’s an example of what I’m getting in the rollup field: “5f286eebbd491e7410167db7”, “5f286eebbd491ee230167eaf”, “5f286eebbd491e8175167e8f” I’ve tried adding another formula field alongside this to substitute the spaces using this: SUBSTITUTE({Rollup Field},", “,”,") But it throws an ambiguous error. Oddly, it seems like the ARRAYJOIN is working fine. That defaults to no space, and it seems like you can run the SUBSTITUTE formulas over them with no issue. Are there any known differences with ARRAYUNIQUE? Any ideas on how I can strip the strings from it? Current output: “5f286eebbd491e7410167db7”, “5f286eebbd491ee230167eaf”, “5f286eebbd491e8175167e8f” Desired output: “5f286eebbd491e7410167db7”,“5f286eebbd491ee230167eaf”,“5f286eebbd491e8175167e8f” Thanks
Hey, I absolutely love Airtable. Is there a way to transform Airtable into a graph database and/or a way to export/integrate it so it can be usable with graph DB tools (e.g. Neo4J). Furthermore, is there an Graph DB alternative similar to Airtable? Thanks a lot in advance for your replies! Sincerely, Timo
Hi AirTable Community, I am creating an org chart for my company right now. The company employs 250+ people, and many of the lowest stage people of the organization share the same manager. As a result, it takes a lot of space horizontally to display all of them, which makes the visualization less comfortable. Does anyone know how to 1 - Display less fields than the upper stages (keeping only the name of the employee for example). 2 - Group all those names inside one unique box, to gain space. Thanks for your help, Mamizo
Hey guys, I have a quick question - do you know maybe if it’s an option to have a trigger for showing the form? For example, I want to show a survey after the user clicks the chosen button. Can I do this somehow? Thank you in advance :slightly_smiling_face: Have a nice day! Ania
Hi folks, I’ve done some searching and haven’t been able to find a clear answer on this. I’m a new user to Airtable and have been looking to understand a bit more around its integration with desktop prototyping tools such as Axure. Is there any recommended desktop prototyping application that integrates with the Airtable database? I think Airtable has some functionality with forms but nothing as robust as Axure or Sketch. I know there is also Adalo integration but I believe Adalo is for mobile apps. Thanks in advance! -Marc
I’m hoping to create a script that pulls a field from an Airtable, enters it into the search bar of a website and then copy and pastes the results into another Airtable. Is that possible? How would I go about creating something like that?
I haven’t messaged anyone directly on the community forums in a while, but it appears as though the option to message individuals is no longer present. Has this ability been removed?
A newbie here, trying to understand what is possible with Airtable. I am involved in a project that is about informing about local food products. Basically, it is a couple of text entries and a picture with each product. Ambassadors with a separate login will visit a store and take an inventory - which products are available and in which store? All products and where they can be found must be viewable via a mobile or desktop browser by anyone without logging in. Is it possible to do with Airtable? How would you do it?
Hi there - WHats the best way to show bar chart, that shows 3 month’s status? I’ve been able to do the month1 status (see attached screen), but wanted to add month2 and month3 for each stats (so each stat should have 3 bars to represent each month)
Hi there - What’s the right way to display a chart that shows 3 months of progress per status? I wanted to show a chart that has June, July, August by status (# of complete vs incomplete), so ‘complete’ bar visual will show 3 bars (for June, July, Aug) and same for the ‘incomplete’ bar. APpears to be possible based on the sample chart on airtable, but I am stuck! Help.
I’d like to understand who Airtable’s cloud provider is - AWS? Azure? Is it in house?
I’m trying to build a DB to track individual athlete scores over multiple seasons and competition categories. I already have a database of fixed athlete info (name, age, email, etc), but I’m not sure how to: A) configure the record tracking DB B) connect it with the individual athletes Example of an individual athlete 2018 season for ‘Under 18’ in ‘Couples’ Round 1 score = 1 Round 2 = 2 Round 3 = 3 Total 1+2+3 = 6 Rank (for 2018 in ‘Under 18’, ‘Couples’) = #10 For the same athlete: 2019 season for ‘Under 21’ in ‘Singles’ Round 1 = 3 Round 2 = 4 Round 3 = 5 Total = 12 Rank (for 2019 in ‘Under 18’, ‘Couples’) = #5 Athlete Record Database
