Inside of my Airtable base I have two fields that log the timestamp when certain fields are updated like this: From there I take the two timestamp fields and calculate the difference, the calculations reveals the time different for a product to move from “status 1” to “status 2” in minutes. With this calculation, I would like to have a conditional SMS message ideally or email if the time difference exceeds a certain threshold. If the above is possible, there are further items I would like to improve upon.

Hi there, I am experimenting a bit with the XML block. Is it correct to say that you can only create records based on single elements? So if I have an XML order, I can create for instance just one record with the customer information or multiple records containing ordered items. As far as I can see I have to make a choice there. I cannot combine it to create just one record for customer x with multiple items in the items field bases on the XML order. Or is there something that I am missing?

I am using the URL preview block in the gallery view. It works as designed when I am in Airtable. I have embedded my Airtable base, gallery view within my website here: sideprojectstack.com/bubble-review. However, when I select the “preview video” button it does not open a preview video. It does not respond when tapped. Is there something I am missing that I need to install additionally to the airtable embed code? I am using a youtube URL, which is supported, it works when I am in Airtable base, but not on my website. I’ve researched and found that the preview url is supported in the gallery view. Hey all, I’ve embedded the Gallery view to my website and no matter what I try on the iframe embed code, the background remains grey. Can we change this or is it a bug?

So in the chart block, how does one exclude custom data categories? I feel like I am likely missing something. I have created custom categories using a multi-select field to code some qualitative data. I want to exclude certain categories or ones below a certain count. (Only display if there are more than 5 of a type.) Thanks

Hey there, I’ve got a Gallery view of people with biography info, name, and other mutli-select data points. The labels of those columns are used to form a survey. The survey asks questions like “what would you like your Bio to be?” and then in the Gallery view, I would want the label of the card to be displayed as “Bio” instead of showing the entire question in a card. Is this possible?

We would like to share a table with a client to collaborate. Is there a way to notify someone whenever the collaborator updates anything in the table? I understand the revision history is viewable if the record is expanded, but we would have to expand every record to see which were changed. Is there a way to do this within Airtable? I’ve tried Integromat but it is also unable to identify which field was changed. Also, I can’t figure out how to convert the ‘Modified By’ field into text (so that I know who made the update).

Hi Support, I have a Date field, and wants to get day diff of it till now. Yet when I set ‘d’, ‘days’, “d”,”days”, it’s always said error in formula. Without unit parameter, it works fine with second unit. Is it possibly a bug? Thanks, Elaine

Hi there ! Maybe it’s too early in the mornin here but I have a troublie with a field with condition. I’m sure my condition is right but when I’m trying, it’s just not working. Asking him IF the single select field “Type de partenariat prioritaire” is “Intervenant”, then don’t show the field in the form view. But it don’t. Does anyone know if you can change the inner column colors when using a table in Page Designer? You can change the border color of the field box itself but I can’t seem to be able to change the inner column colors. any ideas?

Hi. I’ve emedded a form using the autosize embed code and usually it works fine. However sometimes on page load it sets the height of the iframe slightly less than form’s actual height and cuts off some of the text at the bottom. Refreshing the page will usually fix it. This problem occurs regardless of the width of the container the iframe is in and regardless of the initial height set. Normally the bottom of the form looks like this where the height is set to 913 Sometimes it loads like this where the height gets set to 829 My embed code is this Anyone seen this problem before and know what can be done about it? Hi there, New to airbase and wanting to start off learning it a little by creating a small personal project. To that end, I’m starting to build a database for my liquor & spirits and such … yaaay. Here are my questions: I have setup the upc function and it works great … wondering if there is anyway to use the upc to pull in any other information such as manufacturer or MSRP or anything like that? I would like to have 2 fields - one of them is a price field and the other one is a range field (so like $25.01-$75, $75.01-$100), etc… etc… Is it possible to have it so that when i enter the price the range field is automatically updated? A huge draw back for me of Airtable is its limited Zapier integration - and the fact that it can only trigger on new record (and in view) - I really need this to trigger on updated field / record. I know I can do this with Integromat but don’t want to introduce a new app to my stack. There seems to have been some discussion of this some time ago… but quiet recently - is there another hack or imminent zapier development? Thanks

Hi everyone! I have a table with a list of 6 different release dates - I’m trying to create a field that looks at all of those dates and picks the earliest/first one as “Initial Launch.” IS_BEFORE only seems to work with 2 dates and the factorial of 6 dates is 720 possibilities of combinations so I don’t think I can do a workaround combining multiple nested IF and IS_BEFORE functions. Maybe I’m over thinking this though. I also thought about self-linking and doing a rollup field? Anyway, any advice or recommendations welcome!

Scenario Goal/Context: I have set up an Annual Gardening Calendar for my area for 2021 for the typical earliest and latest frost dates, dates to sow vegetable and herb seeds indoors and plant seedlings and sow seeds outdoors (based on Farmer’s Almanac and local Master Gardening resources). Global warming and local microclimates will move these dates slightly but they tend to trend close to the same dates every year (and can, of course, be refined as specific conditions are observed and/or change). Q: How do I replicate this for each subsequent year to come? I’m sure I must be missing the obvious. There must be a simple duplicate solution but I’m an Airtable Rookie and I haven’t been able to dig up amongst the resources how to copy the calendar for future years while retaining the integrity of the Gantt chart begin and end dates with the respective category fields (and color codes). Hi, Airtable folks! I have a trouble with sharing blocks in Public. I was given a beta feature to share blocks in Public but all of the records are also automatically shared in Public. There is a button saying “Show data” in the top right corner in the shared public page, which I want to hide. Does anyone know how to hide it? If I can’t do it, I want to vote for the feature which we can hide it with.

I am having issues with matching the typeform questions to the airtable: “You can now match typeform questions to specific Airtable fields to easily send answers from A to B” Even when I went to look for the compatible typeform options (Dropdown) to the airtable (Single select or multiple select) - I am still no getting it to work. I have of data that you want to import in one fell swoop and I have a bunch of photos that relate to each record of that tons of data. Whats the most efficient way of getting all the data and images up?

I have a form on my website which also has a single select field in it. There are 5 categories to choose from. How can I send form submissions to table 1 when category 1 is chosen. Send to table 2 when category 2 is chosen. Etc. Right now I can achieve this using Zapier, but I am wondering if this is possible within Airtable without using Zapier? Thanks in advance.

I’m using airtable as a contact database (currently 450 records). This database needs to be mass updated by exported information once a month. Is there a way to mass lookup the differences in one set of data and update the old data with the most recent information? I know you can use Zapier to do this, but it is super expensive. Any tips? We are also wanting to track progress for each contact. For example; John smith is a record that has not taken a course so on his record the course is marked as “No”. Once he takes the course we want to update his record but also see that it was marked as “No” on a certain date. Would love help figuring this one out. Thanks!

Hello, When you shared a view via a private link, you can then filter directly within the url. This is really interesting when this is public information to not be forced to create one view for each field you want to make a share view. It just seems filtering with the URL filter_fieldName=value on “lookup field” doesn’t work. It works on every other fields, but not on “lookup field” Does anyone have a solution to fix that please ?
