When I click the + in a linked field it opens a search for an existing record. I would like for a keyboard modifier so when I click instead it just goes to a new record. Holding down Shift or Ctrl when clicking would work wonderfully. Or being able to set a field to always create a new record.

I would love to see more icons added to the options for a base. I know I can add personal emoticons and stuff, but they’re not the same when they display publicly. I share airtables with the public regularly for my business, and just want more options. I run a game and comic shop. I’d love some dice, swords, fantasy beasts, armor, super-heroes, etc. None of that stuff exists. There’s one shield. In the immortal words of John Oliver, cool. Hospitals get 4 icons to express the same concept. Maybe just a revisit on this at some point? Thanks!

I’m mostly color blind so a lot of the colors used in Airtable are very hard for me to differentiate. It would be great if Airtable implemented a color blind mode similar to Trello where the colors also had a pattern overlay on top of them. This makes it possible to distinguish at a glance and is immensely helpful for people like me.

Please add the information icon in the view name to only show the tooltip pop-up or toast, whatever it is called, that charcoal background info window showing the decription, this should only show when I however over the information icon. There should be information icon in the view “tab” the same way as it is on the table tabs and the popup goes on only when I hower over the icon and not show every time I hower over the name of the view, I don’t need to see it every couple of seconds whenever I switch the views. Same goes for the View configuration menu tab on the top left. The information icon is there but it always shows whenever however over the entire button. Here is what I mean:

This is a simple suggestion to add a menu item for the field header to quickly resize the field width to match the field name and allow the full name of the field to show in the header. This is what I mean:

The description field is rather narrow, results in a long column of text that is cut of at the end of the screen for me. I wish the size of the description field could be set, at least wider than it is now. The default value could be in pixels as it is now, and I would override it e.g. as percentage of available screen. Here is what I mean:

Not all of the Airtable users are young and blessed with good eyesight. Some of us are over 40 and it is VERY hard to read the contrast on the field headings. Please make them darker or give us the ability to make them darker and legible. Is it even ADA compliant being so faint and small? You can fix this so please do!

I would love to be able to share a grid, kanban, calendar or gallery view where anybody could add a record even without an account. This would be very helpful in teaching to collect lots of information and interact with students. When you share a form view people can only add one record at a time and they can’t see other records. Let’s say I share a calendar view where students could add a time for them to present their work, a grid view where they could easily add literature references or a kanban view where they could brainstorm new ideas and rearrange them. I use Airtable with Ludus.one and it would be such a great way to interact with students doing class. So I would use this feature live with students to interact with them, but I would also do it when I needed to collect a lot of inputs from people I don’t work closely with. Perhaps embed an open feature request view on our website! You can look at Padlet for inspiration. It’s a very loved and used tool in education. So that “little” feature in Airtable could have a great impact on teaching!

Hello! The search bar in the "Data" section of Airtable should not only function as a search tool but also as a filter, similar to how it is already possible in interface tables. Users could access relevant records faster without having to switch between filters that don't consider all records and cannot be deactivated. Not having to set up the filters again each time would save a significant amount of time. Such a filter function already exists in interface tables and would offer more flexible search and filter options. The irrelevant records still show up, while all relevant ones aren't hidden:
