A small feature request. It would be helpful if Airtable displayed the colour name when hovering over the colour-picker options when building a single/multi-select field, and in the Color Condition options - similarly to how Excel does. This would be a big help for colour-blind builders. Thanks, Chris

When I open the search bar, it covers up my column titles, which makes filling information in the rightmost columns difficult. It would be nice if the search bar opened here:

What is the proposed idea/solution? Add an option to sort the list of bases on the Home screen alphabetically. How does is solve the user problems? The current sort options are oldest<>newest only. This means bases and interfaces change places on the screen each time a base is clicked into. The user problem: this makes the Home screen inaccessible to those who have trouble following constant visual changes. Alphabetical sorting would solve this problem by allowing bases and interfaces to stay in consistent positions on the screen. Who is the target audience? Everyone (others have requested this functionality for non-accessibility reasons as well)

I understand that Airtable is an incredibly complex application and making all of it meet WCAG standards for accessibility is a long/difficult process. As an educational institution, we are mostly limited by the SHARE and FORM options within Airtable. If there was a way to share gallery/table views and forms that were accessible it would quadruple our possible business use cases for Airtable. If we could post Airtable forms or shared views on our public websites it would significantly increase its usefulness. Without that, we can only use Airtable as a backend organizational tool for a small number of users. I realize there are workarounds for this with other applications but each application purchase includes an extensive budget, IT, and accessibility review, and adding additional tools just to make our outputs from Airtable accessible is a huge pain.

As a person who is red/green colorblind, it would be immensely helpful to hover over a specific color and see a label telling me what color I am looking at. I find it challenging to select the appropriate colors for single select, multi-select, and conditionally formatted records that make sense to my clients.
Another option would be to allow users to specify their own custom color using hex codes.
Thanks.

What is the proposed idea/solution? The referenced field order can be changed to the selected View by setting "Limit record selection to a view" How does is solve the user problems? The fields you want to see when selecting linked records should be different for each table or View. While "Limit record selection to a view" allows filtering of records, it would be helpful to be able to set the field order as well. Who is the target audience? Users frequently using the link record --- The field order of a table when referenced from a linked record depends on the first View of the referenced table. It would be very helpful if we could set the recently added (I forget when, but it wasn't there in the past) "Limit record selection to a view" on the link record to change the field order to the selected View. This may also be related to this post. Change Field Order on Linked Record

Hi. I have the following suggestions for improvements on the Calendar View so that it is easier to use and navigate. The calendar should be made SCROLLABLE so that, like other common calendar apps, you can view the next/previous month/weeks/days easily without searching for the tiny little ‘<>’ buttons to navigate between. The calendar should better have a ‘sync from’ function. Like how you sync your Airtable calendar contents to other calendar apps by ‘share view’ URL, Airtable can add a function for users to sync schedules from other apps to Airtable by typing in the Source Calendar’s URL. It should be different from the current Pro Plan Import Calendar Function, which only allows manual import of data but not synchronization. If there is currently a method to achieve this, I would very much like to know about it. There should be a Customize Record Preview function. When an record on the calendar is clicked on, it currently only shows the Name of record and its Date field. However, it may seem a bit meaningless since the calendar view already puts the record s on respective days according to its Date field. Would it be more practical if there is a ‘Customize Record Preview’ button (like ‘Customize Cards’ button in Gallery/Kanban View) which allows users to choose record field(s) they would like to show in the preview card after clicking on the record. The grids of the calendar can be more flexible, which means there can be a function for users to adjust the height/width of the grids in order to meet personal preferences. For example, users can set how many record s (e.g. 3/4/5/6) can be shown in every grid, and the height of each day will lengthen/shorten depending on it. Data range is quite an essential function so that I hope Airtable would include it in the basic plan in the future. Regarding the convenience, I think the title ‘June 2021’ (shown in the fig. below) should be made a clickable header, linking to a dropdown list/ quick menu for choosing months and year. It facilitates jumping to other years/months directly, but not repeatedly clicking on those ‘<>’ buttons. Does anyone have similar views on the Calendar view configurations? Welcome to comment below! I hope Airtable would continue to make itself a better, multifunctional productivity tool.

So many people using their smart phones are using the autofill feature, which usually adds an extra space on the end. I would love if (1) That could be an option on FORMS (2) to each field and (3) a TRIM ALL feature that trims everything. While I understand I can make a script or automation, it’s such a common reoccurrence it would be very helpful if it was baked in. Thanks!
