This is a simple suggestion to add a menu item for the field header to quickly resize the field width to match the field name and allow the full name of the field to show in the header. This is what I mean:

Want to be able to quickly show and hide FILTERED fields in bulk rather than one-by-one. I follow specific discipline when naming my fields. It allows me to quickly filter fields by criteria. However, currently it is not possible to show or hide all filtered (searched) fields. It is possbible to show or hide fields in the database, but when the search filter is applied, the Show / Hide buttons dissapear. I suggest to keep the buttons there and allow me to quickly mark “all filtered fields” in the search filter and then allow me to press buttons Show or Hide to show or hide them quickly in bulk. It will mean saving a lot of time. Imagine when you have 200 fields and you need to show 20 of them so now you have to keep clicking and scrolling 20 times. Here is picture of what I mean:

Would save time for us if we could have a count of records in a given view. Use case is we have a “Invalid” view which filters down to rows that have marked as invalid by a tool. would save user time if our users could see if there are records in that view without having to click into it.

The description field is rather narrow, results in a long column of text that is cut of at the end of the screen for me. I wish the size of the description field could be set, at least wider than it is now. The default value could be in pixels as it is now, and I would override it e.g. as percentage of available screen. Here is what I mean:

Hello, While I love the recent features for managing views, having the “favorite” view selector under the view icon is frustrating. It is just my habit of hand-eye coordination and muscle memory, but when I move my cursor to select a view, I usually move it to the view icon. The subsequent update to the view list with the addition to the “My favorites” sub-folder in the “My views” section is jarring and the process always leaves me feeling like I have been duped into marking the view as a favorite. Would be great if the favorites selector/indicator were either to the left of the view’s icon, or in the optional menu. Thanks for the consideration.

Hi ! Struggling and losing time using the bar to slide left and right to see fields for 40+ columns records. Would it be possible to activate side scrolling like it’s doable on apps like GSheets ? Thnaks 🙂

Not all of the Airtable users are young and blessed with good eyesight. Some of us are over 40 and it is VERY hard to read the contrast on the field headings. Please make them darker or give us the ability to make them darker and legible. Is it even ADA compliant being so faint and small? You can fix this so please do!

I would love to be able to better navigate around my airtables. Simply adding these shortcuts would help greatly, the same as Excel does: Ctl-right, left, up and down would ideally move the cursor to the next record in the respective direction. At the moment these commands just move you to the edges of the table instead of the next record. If people disagree, I’d love to hear from you and how you navigate between records? Thanks!

Hi. I have the following suggestions for improvements on the Calendar View so that it is easier to use and navigate. The calendar should be made SCROLLABLE so that, like other common calendar apps, you can view the next/previous month/weeks/days easily without searching for the tiny little ‘<>’ buttons to navigate between. The calendar should better have a ‘sync from’ function. Like how you sync your Airtable calendar contents to other calendar apps by ‘share view’ URL, Airtable can add a function for users to sync schedules from other apps to Airtable by typing in the Source Calendar’s URL. It should be different from the current Pro Plan Import Calendar Function, which only allows manual import of data but not synchronization. If there is currently a method to achieve this, I would very much like to know about it. There should be a Customize Record Preview function. When an record on the calendar is clicked on, it currently only shows the Name of record and its Date field. However, it may seem a bit meaningless since the calendar view already puts the record s on respective days according to its Date field. Would it be more practical if there is a ‘Customize Record Preview’ button (like ‘Customize Cards’ button in Gallery/Kanban View) which allows users to choose record field(s) they would like to show in the preview card after clicking on the record. The grids of the calendar can be more flexible, which means there can be a function for users to adjust the height/width of the grids in order to meet personal preferences. For example, users can set how many record s (e.g. 3/4/5/6) can be shown in every grid, and the height of each day will lengthen/shorten depending on it. Data range is quite an essential function so that I hope Airtable would include it in the basic plan in the future. Regarding the convenience, I think the title ‘June 2021’ (shown in the fig. below) should be made a clickable header, linking to a dropdown list/ quick menu for choosing months and year. It facilitates jumping to other years/months directly, but not repeatedly clicking on those ‘<>’ buttons. Does anyone have similar views on the Calendar view configurations? Welcome to comment below! I hope Airtable would continue to make itself a better, multifunctional productivity tool.

I understand that Airtable is an incredibly complex application and making all of it meet WCAG standards for accessibility is a long/difficult process. As an educational institution, we are mostly limited by the SHARE and FORM options within Airtable. If there was a way to share gallery/table views and forms that were accessible it would quadruple our possible business use cases for Airtable. If we could post Airtable forms or shared views on our public websites it would significantly increase its usefulness. Without that, we can only use Airtable as a backend organizational tool for a small number of users. I realize there are workarounds for this with other applications but each application purchase includes an extensive budget, IT, and accessibility review, and adding additional tools just to make our outputs from Airtable accessible is a huge pain.
