It is extremely useful to navigate through cells with expanded view but sometimes one can get lost. It would be very helpful to include row (primary field) and columns of that cell at the header of the expanded view window. Someting even more convenient than the expanded view to edit/read long text cells: when you click in a cell this would increase size as much as needed (now it only increases size as much as 20% approx. Thanks

I’ve just implemented a Checkbox field in one table of my “base” to track instances of superseded (“broken”) URLs. In a Grid view, Airtable appears to render a symbol in a Checkbox field for a record only when the state of the field in the record is “checked” (i.e., the underlying value is TRUE). Therefore, as a Pro plan subscriber, I chose a non-default Style (a red check symbol) for this field to visually denote that a check value represents an adverse result. From another table, I created a “linked record field” to the first table, then a Lookup field linked to the Checkbox field from that first table. It appears that the non-default Style I applied in the Grid view for the source field is not inherited in the Grid view of the referring table’s Lookup field, and that there is no independent means to Style the check symbol from that Lookup field (e.g., to “manually” match the styling of the source Checkbox field). This is a rather narrow use case, but I would appreciate if Airtable would have the Lookup field in this case either automatically inherit the styling of the source Checkbox field or allow the user to Style the Lookup field independently.

I’d like to be able to take the product (i.e. multiply all numbers together) of all associated values in a Rollup field. I need this because I’m trying to aggregate a bunch of independent probabilities together. Is there some way to do this already that I’m missing?

When you assign a value to a linked field you choose from one or more records of the source field. I miss some additional info on the source field while you are choosing the right record. Example: Imagine 2 tables: TASKS (id, description, person-linked to PEOPLE table) PEOPLE (name, qualifications, experience, adress,…). There are 15 people you don´t know and you have to assing tasks to them. First you can have a look at the PEOPLE table, but at the time of assigning the person field within TASKS you cannot remember all of them. The info you see is not enough to make this choice. I can think of 3 possibilities: (full) A shortcut to get the PEOPLE records expanded views so that you can make your choice from there (reduced) The possibility to mark one of the fields in PEOPLE as info field. When you get the list of persons to assign you would see only the primary field and the info field (otherwise you see at least 3 fields and therefore the fist 4 words for each field) Thanks in advance.

A way to add a “button” that will insert the current GPS info, convert to address, and add date time to a text field.

Hi! I’m a new user to Airtable. I absolutely love the usability and UI of the app. However, I cannot seem to find quick way to create nesting or sub-tasks. I wish you could create a way for tasks to be nested under each other and ordered. For example, my primary field is “Task Name,” and my Task Name is “Follow Up with all Current Customers by end of 2018,” is there seems to be no way to create a Sub Task called “Create Follow Up List” and then other sub tasks called “September Follow Up,” “October Follow Up” that are specifically linked to the main task of “Follow Up with All Current Customers.” We currently use Smartsheet at my company which I find clunky and difficult to use, however it is fairly easy to create nesting and sub tasks with it.

Would be nice to be able to group a set of tables onto a “grouped table”. In most of my bases I have primary and secondary tables and grouping the secondary together would help keeps things nice and focused. I can easily have 10-15 tables in one base but I don’t use them all equally.

When in expanded view for a record, it would be handy to be able to show or hide a field by clicking its drop down arrow and selecting “Show Field” or “Hide Field” from the menu.

So I use grouped field a lot! What I do miss is a way to group fields horizontally to better show that some field a connected. So that it’s not the records you group but the fields. Adding a little headline would be great. I often need my colleagues to go into a view and edit certain fields but I have to explicitly say which field she/he needs to edit and sometimes they oversee a field. I now I could hide the fields but I would like to keep some information visible even though they shouldn’t edit it. Hope it make sense

I often upload multiple photos to the attachment field, but the process on Airtable iOS is painful. Three taps for each photo, and then have to wait for each file upload to complete before proceeding with the next file. I like Evernote’s photo attachment method where you can tap multiple files and they are numbered in the order you would prefer to view them. Waiting longer one time is better than shorter waits multiple times. This really needs to be fixed and I’m surprised I couldn’t find any other comments for this issue.
