At the moment when you have a date column in a table and your group by date, it doesn’t allow you to chose if you want to group the entries by day, month or year. It just groups them by the date number. I think it will be very useful to group it by month as I use Airtable to track my company’s expenses and I want to be able to group it by months as otherwise, I have too many entries.

It would be highly beneficial to include “link to record” in the primary field formatting. Many of my databases have yearly records for a central database of items, and I end up having duplicity by having the record name( primary field) manually entered followed by a link to record table field. Seems like it would be a heck of a lot easier (and less of a time suck), to simply link to the main record!

Hey! I use an excel sheet to track my projects and an awesome feature is that I can post a hyperlink to a project folder I have in File Explorer and go directly to the desired folder. Is there something like that on Airtable? I noticed you can link URL but I haven’t seen anything for file explorer specifically. Please help!

Would be a great feature to auto populate certain graphical information like logo’s and head shots alla FullContact. Example paste email in email field for a contact and then have it auto populate linkedin URL and photo from Linked in the the same contact. Full contact doesn’t do this for Logo’s only head shots. But I think pulling logo’s from a companies linked in page would also be interesting.

Would love the ability to create subheadings under which to group multiple fields. For example, the ability to have a “Channel” field heading, which 4 different fields – Organic, Direct, Social, referral – would appear under. Then those groups/subheadings can be collapsed/expanded, which would simultaneously collapse/expand all the fields that fall under it.

The specific use case I have is interactive content production where many different elements come together to create a single production. Every element like scripting, translation, voice-over etc has its own table and there seems to be no way to then bring all the elements together in one table to have a general view of where the project is (including filtering by person/status etc)

When I click the + in a linked field it opens a search for an existing record. I would like for a keyboard modifier so when I click instead it just goes to a new record. Holding down Shift or Ctrl when clicking would work wonderfully. Or being able to set a field to always create a new record.

It is extremely useful to navigate through cells with expanded view but sometimes one can get lost. It would be very helpful to include row (primary field) and columns of that cell at the header of the expanded view window. Someting even more convenient than the expanded view to edit/read long text cells: when you click in a cell this would increase size as much as needed (now it only increases size as much as 20% approx. Thanks

I’ve just implemented a Checkbox field in one table of my “base” to track instances of superseded (“broken”) URLs. In a Grid view, Airtable appears to render a symbol in a Checkbox field for a record only when the state of the field in the record is “checked” (i.e., the underlying value is TRUE). Therefore, as a Pro plan subscriber, I chose a non-default Style (a red check symbol) for this field to visually denote that a check value represents an adverse result. From another table, I created a “linked record field” to the first table, then a Lookup field linked to the Checkbox field from that first table. It appears that the non-default Style I applied in the Grid view for the source field is not inherited in the Grid view of the referring table’s Lookup field, and that there is no independent means to Style the check symbol from that Lookup field (e.g., to “manually” match the styling of the source Checkbox field). This is a rather narrow use case, but I would appreciate if Airtable would have the Lookup field in this case either automatically inherit the styling of the source Checkbox field or allow the user to Style the Lookup field independently.
