Just to ensure I'm using the jargon correctly, I believe an 'Interface' is a groups of 'Pages' -- with that out of the way, I wonder if it would be relatively 'low hanging fruit' to offer the ability to move a Page to another Interface within the same Base? Why would you want to do this? The Enterprise plan has granular permissions that control which Interfaces can be accessed by which users/groups. A Page in an interface might be useful to multiple groups, but that doesn't mean I want multiple groups to have access to the entire Interface. This results in having to re-create Pages in different Interfaces that have the appropriate permission settings. A function to move a Page to a different Interface (within the same Base of course) would be a significant 'quality of life' improvement and time-saver in this situation. It could live in the page's '...' menu (see screenshot)

What is the proposed idea/solution? As it's possible to pre-fill a View Form field - it would be useful if field permissions could be set to prevent the user from editing specified (pre-filled) fields - the idea being that the field is read-only and is simply relaying information to the user who's filling out the form. Currently, if the field permissions within the table are set to "Nobody" can edit - a user viewing and filling out a form can still edit that field. How does this solve the user problems? It allows pre-filled forms to be sent and filled out by users, but only desirable fields are editable, whilst others fields are restricted from editing and will display pre-filled data that can't be edited - but can be viewed during the form process. Who is the target audience? Anyone who is using an Airtable automation to send a Form Link, with pre-filled URL switches, where some fields should really be non-editable and view only.

Increased permission levels! Hiding tables from certain users Hiding views from certain users without making them personal views Hiding fields from certain users Editable shared links Allow adding records to synced tables The IOS mobile app also shows ALL views including everyone’s personal views and when a record is opened it shows all fields with only a small indicator saying that field is hidden.

This feature would be useful for businesses and organizations that need to temporarily disable form submissions for maintenance, during periods of high traffic or when responses can not be accepted due to a specific workfloy/company necessity. Here's how this feature might work: First, the user would need to create a new form or select an existing form within Airtable. Then, they could choose to enable the form scheduling feature for that form. Next, the user would be able to specify the start and end dates and times during which the form should be disabled. The user would also have the option to add a custom message that would be displayed to users who try to access the form during the disabled period. For example, the message might say "We apologize for the inconvenience, but this form is temporarily unavailable. Please check back after [end date and time]." After the disabled period has ended, the form would automatically become active again and users would be able to access and submit it as usual. This feature would be especially useful for businesses and organizations that need to periodically disable form submissions for maintenance or during busy periods, such as holiday sales or seasonal promotions. By giving users more control over when and how forms are displayed, Airtable would help ensure a smoother and more efficient workflow.

As discussed in this thread, any users of a database are able to share that database with other users, even if the creator didn’t authorize those other users. Furthermore, any users of a database are able to duplicate the database without permission from the creator. The creator is never alerted to any of these actions, either. This is a huge security concern for any business. Creators should be the only ones who are allowed to share the table with other users OR duplicate the table. Period. If the creator wants other people to be able to share or duplicate the table, then they should EXPLICITLY be able to turn on those privileges for specific users. Additionally, if another user shares or duplicates the database, the creator should then be informed of it via email. Otherwise, as it stands now, we have a potential security nightmare.

Long-time fan…yet… this one thing has always perplexed me… Why can someone that ONLY has ‘view access’ to a base… can then go duplicate that entire base with all the records and then become the owner of it… all while having no audit trail of who did it. I don’t know about you but I put lots of time building my Airtables… building out custom workflows, app dashboards, syncing tables from other bases, in-depth field descriptions, specific views and putting accurate information in there to collaborate, communicate and grow with others. It is IP that an organization builds, putting countless hours into perfecting… yet anyone with ‘view’, ‘commenting’, ‘editing’ or ‘creator’ access can take that IP with no accountability. Basically, I would like to significantly reduce who has access to 'duplicate a base’ Only the 'Owner" access should be able to duplicate the base: not the creator, editor, comment or view access. Additionally add an audit trail to who duplicated the base. Maybe even giving specific users ‘this person can duplicate or not’ but I think the owner simplification would be more than sufficient. Without this option, it is such a security shortcoming that it limits the number of users I have using Airtable. And I want to tell everyone in the world about Airtable… Airtable has given me a way to organize my thoughts / systems that I didn’t know was possible. I love the origin and root behind open source programs but please let me have the option to make it open source or not. That is like someone having access to your CRM and with one button, can duplicate all customer records and how they all interact with each other. User Story As an account admin I would like control of who can duplicate our base and it’s contents. if someone can duplicate, I want a record of who did it and when. Resources I am aware of Duplicating Bases - No mention on how to avoid this Yes I know you can send over ‘views’ to people to mitigate this issue… you can send over forms so they can add records to it… grids / galleries with only the information they need to know. I desperately hope I am wrong and this indeed is actually a possible feature that I have missed. With appreciation and admiration for Airtable & it’s community, Paul

It would great if there was an option to lock either Collaborative or Personal Views. Right now the “Locked view” really only applies to collaboratives views. I have several views in my bases that I want to keep as Personal views but want to avoid accidently making changes, hence the need for a Locked option. Perhaps the choices could be Collaborative or Personal, with the option to toggle Locked on/off. It could look something like this:

Airtable have a loooot of potential for public informations sharing but is currently missing its opportunity. I would not pay for 1000 users as commenters but I would like to let 1000 users to give me their feedback on some records from a base in my Pro Plan. An easy way to do it would be to set “Commenter users” the same way as “Real-Only users”, not considered within the billing. Benefit for a company : Be able to gather a lot of feedbacks on multiples assets & data from the public Benefit for Airtable : More customers & visibility. Since I want to gather some information from a lot of Customer & Suppliers, I will want to invite them all as “Commenter” so they will learn about Airtable and because they will need to create an account they might try and buy. Per example : Share a Kanban Product roadmap and gather suggestions Share a Products Gallery view to gather feedbacks Share a video asset base with mass users to let them clic on a video record, watch it through dashboard (loom or video) and give me their feedback trough the record comment feature.

I am requesting that Airtable add a user-specific, customizable dashboard by user. To my understanding, if you add a block, every user can see that same block. Different departments need to see different information. I haven’t been able to find how to do this. If there is already a way, please point me in the right direction. Do you have a webinar training for this? Thanks!
