We are using Airtable in our real estate company as our primare base for storing all these complex data regarding owners, properties, law firms etc etc. When we want to expand a record either directly or clicking on a linked table record, the expanded view takes so long to scroll mainly because of the big spacing. (see attached image). Of course i understand that you have put much more thought and time to take this desicion, But i would like to suggest either reduce the vertical space size or give the option to the user, like gmail has the cosy, comfortable or compact spacing. Reading data and column in a Table can be challenging especially when you need to be focused. Although airtable has a very pleasant interface, the color of the texts is a medium gray which makes difficult to read. I think it would be really helpful to have the ability to adjust the contrast of the texts. The font itself is very light weight which makes info even more hard to read. Considering also the fact that airtable is used by people older than 45 yo, their vision is not that sharp. This issue (for me) Is mostly design issue, which creates practical problems. We have the flexibility and the power to make complex databases with linked info from each table, and we are spending more time trying to read what it says. Even one second more is important in the long term. Of course this is also depending from the quality of the monitor you are using. So unless you use Mac or eizo monitor, the appearance of the) everything looks flat . I have check it various monitors. And except mobile (no iPhone) all the other are not easy to read. Is the current UI favors design against the data itself? Could be the font weight, could be the color, could be both. I love the colouring options for Single and Multi Select fields - but by contrast this makes Linked fields look a little dull. Would it be possible to enable a feature whereby the Lookup field shows the value using the colour set for the record it’s looking up? ... View more

Hi, hello, and good morning, I’d like to request a feature to LIMIT the file size of images uploaded. It would be even nicer if you could specify to have certain image DPI requirements. If the requirements were not met, they’d be greeted with an error and explanation. While I can perfectly well manage my file sizes, if you have a submittable form based on your grid, some people don’t heed upload guidelines, so it would be nice if this was a feature. This would be great for people who manage social media profiles and want web-ready images. I’m sure people who submit PDFs would think it great, too. No one needs 56mb PDF resumes. ... View more

As we ramp up this product for our team, it’s becoming increasingly evident that a better messaging/commenting tool would make Airtable MUCH more useful. The current commenting system (which is oddly mashed together with the revision history) is too hard to get to… and sometimes a conversation isn’t specifically related to just one record. The ability to “send record” via email is just too cumbersome for repeated conversations with fellow collaborators, especially since the recipient has to be manually entered every single time. And though products like Slack can help, it’s just not as seamless as we’d like. I’d love it if there were just a Block or something that allowed collaborators to @mention each other AND tag/link specific tables, records, and fields. ... View more
