I’ve been evaluating Airtable as well as Fieldbook. There’s a lot to like about Airtable - particularly the iOS apps, the ease of use, and the multiuser flexibility. There’s one Fieldbook feature that I’m really impressed by, though: in addition to sorting and filtering, you can also make views that group by a particular field. For example, if I have a table of articles that I’m tracking for a website launch, I can look at a filtered view of that table grouped by the value of some field. At the moment the form only allows input of new data. Can we have a form for editing existing records? At the moment we can only edit in the table meaning I can’t present the records the way I want. It would be good if a function similar to DLOOKUP in VBA could be available. I’d like to pull data from another table, but can’t if it’s not linked. I suggest you add the ability to lookup the data in a single record from a form, for any user who is logged in and has access to that record’s data. Then, it would prefill into the other fields of the form and can be reviewed, edited etc. For instance, if I have a table of users, I could use the first field to search for the user I want, and then his/her phone number, address etc. would pop into the other fields, and I could review and change if necessary. ...
