Being able to organize “links” to bases in Google Drive is helpful, but not very useful in an enterprise or team setting unless Team Drives are supported. Right now, if I try to drag an Airtable base from the default “Airtable” folder in My Drive to a Team Drive, the error message “This type of file cannot be moved to a Team Drive yet” pops up. I am trying to use airtable for our applicant tracking system. I love the interface on iOS, especially the option to text or call right from the phone number field in the form for each applicant. However, when I use the iCal subscription link to put the interview dates on people’s calendars, the link opens the record on the airtable website and not the mobile app. This might be fine if the phone recognized the phone number as a link and opened the phone app, but it doesn’t. Is it possible to have a link that opens in the iOS app? We can manually calendar the interviews if I can put a link to the record that opens in the iOS app. Thanks! ... View more

So this happens to me all the time. I’m at the bottom of the grid view of a pretty large table, when I have a question about a piece of data in another table. So I switch to that table to find what I’m looking for there. When I switch back to my original table, I’m sent back to the top of that particular view instead of where I was, and have to scroll back down. It’s cool that you can manually click and drag to reorder records. But what if you want to temporarily apply an automatic sort, and then go back to your manual sorting? As far as I can tell, you would need two separate views to do this–and if you ever accidentally applied sorting to the manually sorted view, you would lose your manual sorting forever. Using two separate views isn’t ideal for me because I already have a lot of views and for my needs this would effectively double that already large number of views. And the risk of permanently losing my sorting makes it not really seem worth it. What I propose is some sort of ordenal sorting field… Essentially it would be the same as the numbers that currently appear on the far left in grid view, except that if you applied an automatic sort, those numbers would stay with the same record. So if you had: 1 A 2 C 3 B and you resorted it alphabetically, you would have: 1 A 3 B 2 C instead of 1 A 2 B 3 C Then, if you want to go back to the original order, you just sort by the ordenal field. Most of my attachments are PDFs of business documents. In their unexpanded state – even in Gallery View –they pretty much all look alike. I would like to be able to quickly identify documents without expanding them, and the easiest way to do that would be to have the thumbnail display a relevant portion of the text at a readable size and resolution. Typically this text is somewhere around halfway down the page, not at the top where logos and indicias are usually found. I’ve tried making the thumbnails bigger and repositioning them by tweaking the CSS; unfortunately, Airtable thumbnails of PDFs are not tiny PDFs – they’re images – and they’re virtually unreadable when artificially enlarged. I would love the option to select from among different thumbnail sizes and resolutions when uploading PDFs or later. Even more, I would love it if the thumbnails of PDFs were the actual PDF documents in all their high-resolution glory. Using the Chrome Inspector, I modified my Airtable code locally and was successful in embedding a scaled-down yet scrollable version of a multipage PDF from a public document website. I realize this may not be practical, but, at minimum, it would be great if we could choose larger or higher-resolution thumbnails and choose what part of the image is displayed. ... View more

To make grocery lists, packing lists, and other forms of check lists efficient on handheld devices a user needs to be able to quickly work their way down a pre-made list checking off items that have been completed.
