We are thrilled to share that as of today, Timeline view is available in Airtable. What is Timeline view? Timeline view is a new view type that will allow you to track and visualize what’s most important to help you understand resources, events, tasks, or initiatives over time. This new view will allow you to color-code, group, filter, and sequence your records on a timeline so that you can see what’s happening, when. Some features accompanying Timeline view include: Groupings: Similar to Grid view, Timeline view allows for multiple levels of grouping, with each level being collapsible so you can see the most relevant information. Welcome to our first Airtable Community Platform Release Update where we will share an update of all the latest enhancements and bug fixes that have been deployed. First and foremost, we want to thank you all for your patience and feedback on the Community experience as our team has been transitioning to a new platform. We’ve been hard at work resolving many of the UI issues and bugs that came up during our platform migration. Chart You can now adjust the sort order of the items on the X axis of bar, line, and scatter charts.Here are the new sort orders that are potentially available. Hi all - I hope the week is going well. I’m excited to be able to share the next wave of Interface Designer updates targeted at making interfaces even more powerful and easier to use. Button Element: Allows you to add a button - and configure some actions - in your interface. This will allow you to quickly approve/reject requests and gives flexibility to making status changes like assigned or complete. You’ll be able to configure buttons to update a field or multiple fields of a single record with a single click. You may also choose to move to the next record. You’ll be able to edit the color from 4 different options. Below are the color options and their labels. These labels are meant to be guiding principles of when to use these colors, not what they do. Hi everyone! I am excited to share with all of you that as of today conditional automations are now available in Airtable for all users. Conditional logic lets you trigger groups of automation actions only when certain conditions have been met, ensuring your automations are primed to do exactly what you want. Once you’ve set up conditional logic, Airtable will check the first conditional group you’ve set—if the conditions for a group have been met, the actions in that group will run. We are thrilled to highlight Kuovonne Vorderbruggen!   LM: How long have you been using Airtable? KV: I discovered Airtable about five years ago in 2018 as part of a search for a low cost, cloud-based, cross-platform database system for personal projects, and every year since then has been a new adventure. Initially I forced my Airtable builds on bewildered friends and family who didn’t understand why a database could be better than a spreadsheet, but in 2019 I found that people would pay me to create Airtable bases. So, in 2020, I decided to re-enter the workforce full-time, focusing on Airtable consulting.

Hi all - I hope everyone is having a great week! 💫 Some may remember, that back in 2018, Airtable released “Blocks”— which let you build your own tools and added additional functionality to Airtable. Then, in 2020, Airtable released the Apps Marketplace, which added even more functionality, and led to the renaming of blocks to apps because, well, they’re applications that work within Airtable. But that was never as clear as we hoped, especially in an era where Apps can refer to everything from Miro to Angry Birds to the application your team builds with Airtable. So as we look forward, we wanted to choose a name that reflects the way our customers can—and will—use these powerful tools. Our goal is to extend the functionality of Airtable, so we wanted to choose a name that reflects that future. “Extensions” was a natural choice.
