AI in Automations Since the release of the AI field, we’ve received lots of positive feedback on its ease of use and the transformative impact it has had on your workflows. We've also taken note of your requests to integrate AI into Automations, thereby enabling more complex and versatile applications. Hi all! Sharing an update you’ll see this week - you can now hide form fields from a submitters view in Airtable using a new URL parameter. This is meant to create a more seamless user experience by hiding any pre-filled fields on forms. For example, if you’re creating an NPS or beta feedback survey like you’ll see in the example below. On the right, you will see the experience before updating the URL and on the left-hand side, you can see the experience after. In practice, here is an example of how this would be accomplished: Before https://airtable.com/shr7EmCXXraT6OwKk?prefill_Feature=Hide%20form%20fiel After: hide_Feature=true being added to the end of the URL https://airtable.com/shr7EmCXXraT6OwKk?prefill_Feature=Hide%20form%20field&hide_Feature=true Additional resources: Support documentation: Prefilling a form Let us know if you have any questions!

Hello everyone – Micah here from the product team at Airtable. While we’re super excited to continue updating our layouts in Interface Designer — especially Record Detail — we know that some of our most recent changes have been difficult to navigate. Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard and appreciated all of the feedback that has been shared. Today, we’re excited to release a few updates to help address some of the most critical issues. We’re still hard at work making these layouts even better, and while this release won’t address all of the feedback, we are continuing to listen to all of you and working to improve the overall experience.Updates Starting today, you’ll see that “Sections” are now known as “Groups”. We’ve improved the way they work and brought some additional features and functionality to the Record Detail layout:More options for visual customization and layout flexibilityGroups now support an optional background colorThere’s now only a single, simplified type of G
UPDATE 10/31 - we have changed the way we enforce API limits on our Trial and Free plan. Please see our support center for the latest information. Hello, Airtable community! I'm Nitya, senior product marketing manager here at Airtable. I wanted to share more information about recent changes to our pricing plans. Over the past few years, we’ve released many new products and features – including new sync integrations, extensions, and automation capabilities – and the way customers use Airtable has evolved. We’re updating our plans to ensure people have flexible options based on their needs, reflecting feedback we heard from customers and how they use our platform. For example, many Pro plan customers have asked for access to features that were previously limited to the Enterprise plan, and that extension limits were too stringent. Our new plans give customers a progressive journey as their organization’s use of Airtable becomes more complex, mapping the features and

Hi everyone! I’m Priscilla, a UX researcher at Airtable on the Automations team. We wanted to tell you about a new feature that our team has been working on called Record Templates, which will help you manage programs, projects, and tasks more efficiently. With this feature, you will be able to: Create templates for the types of records you find yourself creating over and over again Set pre-filled default field values on those templates Create new records using those templates or apply the template to an existing record Link multiple templates together to bulk-create records across tables We are still working on additional functionality, but will release the current version of Record Templates to a small group of customers for early access and feedback. As a participant in our Record Templates Beta, you will be able to access Record Templates on base(s) of your choice, starting September 14, 2022. After you’ve started using it, we’ll set up time to chat with you and get your feedback
Hi everyone! We’re excited to offer an invitation to try one of our newest features - Zendesk External Source Sync. A lot of customer support workflows rely heavily on Zendesk, so with Zendesk Sync, you can sync all of the tickets from a given Zendesk view into Airtable. From there, you can use all of Airtable’s core functionality to work with the data: views (I recommend Kanban view), filters, sorts, automations, and more. To sign up for the beta, fill out this quick form and click the link at the end. The feature should become available within a few minutes of clicking the link. If it doesn’t, try refreshing the page. Please note that this feature will only work if you’re on a Pro or Enterprise plan. And if you have any feedback about the feature, please submit it via this form.

👋 Hi, I’m Helen, a Product Manager here at Airtable, and I'm very excited to announce that you can now repeat groups of actions on multiple records within an Automation! When working with a list of items, you may want to carry out a set of actions for every item in the list. You can now scale your work by taking a set of actions on multiple records at once. Repeating groups help you do just that. For example, sending a personalized email to each customer when you have a list of customer contact records, or sending out a list of assigned tasks to each member of your team every Monday. This feature adds to the advanced logic you can use in Automations to help you scale your workflows. Try it out for yourself in your base and let us know how you’re planning on using this new feature below! For more information and examples, take a look at our support article.A few common questions:Can I combine conditional groups with repeat groups in Automations?N

I had the opportunity to speak with Kristian Wong and Alex Tellez from Sterling Administration. Sterling is an HSA administrator that partners closely with nursing homes and at home care nurses. Experts in end-of-life care are growing increasingly concerned with what is being referred to as the “silver tsunami.” With the aging population of baby boomers set to exceed the workforce that would support them, Kristian and Alex are looking to innovate at home care for elderly patients and bend the healthcare curve. Kristian, a solution architect and Alex, a data scientist built a HIPPA compliant app that helps caretakers and family members of elderly patients in nursing homes get up to date information and get ahead of serious health complications before things escalate. The whole backend of the app is managed in Airtable. Kristian Wong says, “Airtable is the front door that opens a whole world of possibilities to change the future of healthcare.” LM: The two of you created an app tha

Hi all - Starting today, we are excited to announce a new way to manage time and resources in Timeline View - ensuring you and your teams are operating efficiently no matter how complex your projects are. Plan ahead & determine resourcing needs The best way to avoid over-allocation issues is to never experience them in the first place. Thinking through project durations, budgets, and team member capacity before you start a campaign can ensure you accomplish your goals on schedule. Plan ahead with the summary bar, which automatically makes calculations based on record values. These summaries can help teams uncover resource-related data (like the average time spent on projects every week). When you pull up the summary bar in a Timeline view, you’ll get to choose from a wide range of functions to calculate summaries, including: Count Sum Average Min Max Range Median Utilization The summary bar’s utilization function is particularly helpful for calculating exactly how much of a team
