I am looking to set up a base to manage client onboarding and success.I'm fairly experienced with Airtable and I've built project management bases in the past with linked records and lookups but what I want to build this time has some unusual features and I'm scratching my head how I accomplish this. The use case is something like this:Each new client we bring on goes through an identical series of steps/tasksThese series of steps/tasks can be broken into "modules" such as 1) onboarding, 2) mid year review, and 3) year end review. Each new client added to the base can be enrolled into a module and have a set of records created for their instances of the corresponding tasks. The tasks will be have statuses To Do, In Progress, Done. These roll up into the module. When all the tasks in a module are complete, the module will be marked done.For each client I want to visualize: 1) Their list of tasks (grouped

Hello,I'm pulling in purchase order data for my company, and have a "Vendor Management Team Partner" associated with each purchase order record.I'm also reconfiguring these POs in a separate table, such that the email address of the PO requester is the primary key.If a requester has multiple POs, they'll have multiple values in the VM Team Partner column, so I'm also adding a Rollup for unique values.I'm then automating the copying and pasting of the unique values in the Rollup field into a Linked field for the VM Team Partner's email info.However, in only some of records, the Link field will display a comma at the end of the values, whereas the Rollup field will not.How is this happening when there is no comma in the Lookup field? I now have to add values in my "VM Email" table for both "John Smith" and "John Smith," which is an unexpected nuisance.Can someone help me understand how this is happening and how to rem

Hello, as of this morning, any PDFs that I attach via the Make integration will no longer open in a preview window, but instead tries to download a file without an extension.  This Make scenario has been running for months without issue, with hundreds of PDFs attached in the manner per day - all being able to open up in Airtable without an issue.  But as of this morning, nothing added today will open properly.  Any attachments added yesterday still open fine.  Any ideas what is happening here?Edit - apparently this is only happening on this specific Base.  If I run a Make scenario to add an attachment to a different Base - it attaches fine and opens normally.  But then if I change it to attach to my primary Base, the same download issue occurs.  I need to get it back to working normally on this primary Base.  This is what I have determined so far:1.  Only is affecting my primary b

Is there a way to fetch just one record or take the first/last one from the returned list? In table A I have a record with an email. In table B, I also have records with their emails. I need to update A record with B attributes but they come from different sources and are not associated - they just have the same emails.

Two questions: Is there a way to say that a record cannot be created without certain fields being filled in? Some fields may be optional but some are absolutely mandatory. Is there a way to constrain the values that a field may contain? For example, you may want to limit a numeric field to values > 0 and less then 100 and reject a record whose field falls outside of those constraints Thanks in advance!

I’ve duplicated some tables and then afterwards renamed them. However, in lookup fields when selecting a table to lookup from the original name still shows up, which makes me have to guess which is the right one. Anyone experiencing this too and knows how to recache the table names or sth?

Hello! I have recently been building out an interface that has a few different pages within it such as Home, Event Details, Event Contacts, etc. The main purpose for this interface is to create a more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing method for myself and employees to input data to our master base of records. My company manages logistics for touring musical artists so each record in the base represents a single event. Therefore, each page within this interface represents a different slice of the overall information pertaining to each event. If I want to add flight information, there is a dedicated page for that, if I want to input hotel information, there is a dedicated page for that, and so on. Currently, as far as I am aware, the only way to pick which record the interface page is addressing would be to add a Record Picker element which can be used to pick the specific event from a drop down menu. Hi y'all - I think I've found a VERY dumb breach in Airtable that's leaking PII.  I've sent in an email and reached out via the help system, but I suspect these forums might be better monitored - could an Airtable rep please find a way to contact me for proof? If I can figure out a way to share an image w/o showing how the breach is happening, I'll update this thread and do so.

Hi,I hope you can help me, I've searched everywhere and I can't find an answer to my problem.I work for a training organization. I have a table with students. A table with training session dates. And a table with speakers.In the dates table, I make a link with the speakers (each speaker can participate on one or more dates)In the students table, I want to get the names of the speakers of each session, but in a deduplicated way (I want to use these names to print a certificate)But no matter what I do, I can't remove the duplicates in the names of the speakers.Airtable considers that the 2 or 3 speakers on that each training session date are different arrays.I tried the « arrayflatten » and « arrayjoin » fonctions (and a combination of these) but nothing works.Do you have any idea to ge me solve this ?Thanks in advance

Hey guys, Really new to Airtable and not an excel expert either. I have been trying to create a Master Catalog / Master SKU table which contains fields like SKU variations, Amazon ASIN, Category, sub-categories, landed costs etc. I have also assigned a Master SKU code as the Primary and this may overlap for some SKU variations. I want to create another table where I can import the Sales data in excel format, which carries the Amazon ASINs (not all of them populated in the Master SKU) and Units Sold. The excel may also contain other data that is not relevant to this exercise. Similarly, I would like to create more tables to upload sales data from other marketplaces (each has their unique marketplace product ids) as well. How do i get Airtable to recognise these ASINs (or other unique marketplace ids) & match them with the Master so that I can link the records ? Or do i have to key in each line of Sales Data as a New record in a New table a

I developed a table that looks up records from other tables in a base. My colleagues all say that they have never touched this table, yet revision history of multiple records in the Linked column say that they were "edited by pasting." I have searched AirTable FAQ and can't find that phrase anywhere. Has anyone else seen that with Linked & Lookup fields? Perhaps my colleagues just don't remember that they did this? When I add a new record and see it show up in the Linked table, it just shows that I edited it, not "by pasting."

I have a table that was transferred to me over a year ago and now I am the owner. I recently upgraded to the Team plan. I can input data into the template but now matter how I change my field permissions, when I try to delete a row is says: "this table is configured so nobody can delete records". How do I change this? If I am the owner shouldn't I be able to change this. Thank you for your help!

I want to be able to use something like the Forms feature to add multiple records in one go for non-licensed viewers, but the forms feature is limited to one record at a time and the editable shared view does not support copy and paste. For example: I have a Project name record I want to add (view #1) x number of tasks records linked to the project name (view #2) and x number of project collaborators records linked to the project name (view #3). Rather than submitting the form multiple times to add: Project name Task 1 description + link to project name Task 2 description + link to project name … etc Project collaborator 1 name + link to project name Project collaborator 2 name + link to project name … etc I want to be able to add this in one form. Is there something wrong with Airtable today? Three of my customers reached out saying their Airtable automations stopped working. All issues needed to set another new personal access token. Aren't these supposed to not expire? If they expire, this is hugely problematic. This code needs to work reliably or Airtable can't reasonably be used for these integrations. I have to reach out to dozens of accounts now to see if their integrations are still working.

Hello. I have a form on my photo studio website that’s connected to a base where I collect and manage client data and bookings. When someone fills out the form an email is generated and sent to me via Airtable with the subject line… “Airtable forms: someone has responded to Photo/Film Booking Request” I’d like to change the subject to something shorter and more relevant like, “Your 08.02.18 Photo/Film Booking Request at (Studio Name)”. This way I can simply reply back to the person with a short, relevant email subject line with the original request email as the first message. Is changing the subject line possible in Airtable or do I need to use Zapier or some other integration? I noticed the SendGrid block, but have not had time to play with that. Thanks!! ~ G

I have many columns that use multiple select fields. However, there are times that they need an option called “Other” and the ability to type in a new option. This option should not be saved into the list of options. I can add another column and let them type in the option there, but since there are so many of these the table is getting quite bulky. Is there a way to have a custom field where you can display an option in multiple select but not add it into the list of options? Or is there another way to accomplish this? Thank you,

Hello! I work for an event facility and we are trying to automate our calendar with a submission form. The idea is that when a new form is submitted with an event name, date and time that it will be automatically added to Google calendar. With the current automation, it syncs the date with google calendar, but defaults to 12pm for the time for everything submitted. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make this work? Thanks! Jamie

The community's help is really needed. I need to figure out access to certain rows in the database.Scenario: Each row of the table has a "USER" field. In it I select users who have access to the table (screenshot #1). I want to make it so that "USER" see only those rows in which they are selected and can edit these rows. All other rows where they are not selected in the "USER" column, they either cannot edit or cannot see (it’s better if they don’t see it, but it’s not critical).  

Hi all, please help put me out of my misery. I have a database to organise film shoots. I have three tables: scenes, dates and kit Each entry in the scenes table links to an entry in the dates table (the date we’ll shoot that scene), and may or may not link to a number of items in the kit table, indicating whether that scene requires specialist kit (cranes, drones etc). I am trying to make a field in the dates table that summarises what kit is required for that day. When I make this a rollup pointed at the scenes table, kit field, it pulls through all the entries correctly but obviously as there can be many scenes scheduled for a particular day, each of which might require the same bits of kit, I get a lot of duplicates. No matter what combination of ARRAYUNIQUE, ARRAYFLATTEN, ARRAYCOMPACT etc etc I try I can’t get the rollup to show only unique items. To be clear what I’m after is that if a particular date has four scenes and two req

New to Airtable and had the webinar getting started with Airtable. However, my work will be to read and write data from a 3rd party app. Generally data will be pushed and pulled from the 3rd party app/website.The method to push and pull the data will be similar to the CURL examples in the docs. Seems straight forward.OverallMy general question: any suggestions or insight for best practice, etc. DetailTo get specific, I have created a couple Bases in my account as well as a Personal Key. Looking at the API call to List Records I need the BaseID. Looking in my account I don't see this info attached to the Base. My assumption then, I'll need to use List Bases to be able to List Records on a specific Base. Will I need to use this process every time? Storing this info into a local table on the 3rd party app is an option. So is it possible the IDs might change during the life of the base/table/record?
