When working with automations, how does one cancel edits? What if I don’t want to update an automation because I made a mistake? And when the pop-up asking about changes appears, is there a way to cancel and not apply updates? Thank you!

Hi All, Im not sure if this has been asked before. I tried searching for it but could not find a solution. So here it goes. Im trying to do a simple recurring monthly subscription record. For Example: John is billed every 13th of the month. On his record there is a checkbox, bill date and next bill date. The next billdate is a formula that adds 30 days from the bill date. I have created a view called Monthly. When John makes a payment, the check box will be checked and it will appear on the monthly view. I wanted to uncheck this boc 7 days before the next bill date and how do I update the next bill date so it would add 30 days everytime? Any suggestions?

I suddenly get an error while executing my script. “There was an unexpected error while executing your script”. It doesn’t say which one causes it. Hi there, I have a field that shows the date a proposal is sent to a potential client, and I have another field that shows what action needs to be taken as a single select. The idea is that the actionable will show “in progress” in green after the proposal is sent, but once two weeks go by past the date the proposal is sent, I want it to change to “call client”, essentially triggering a follow up action if we haven’t got a signed contract yet. Is there a way to do this? I set up a trigger: when record matches conditions (14 days past date and actionable is in progress) And then when I try to set up the action to update record I can’t seem to select the trigger - it wants me to pick a specific record. But I want this to happen for any record that is past due

Hi All, Am creating automation wherein the user does the following steps 1)fills the form 2)trigger should be created to send mail 3)Once the mail is approved a confirmation required from the mail Yes/No :heavy_check_mark: or :x: 4)based on the above action the next trigger for the creation of a record should trigger. Also for the following mail has been Approved or replied to by :heavy_check_mark: (Approval status field) then the record is entered in the database. Clueless as to how to proceed further. I come from a MS Access database background - albeit its been 20 years… anyway - I thought Airtable - being a relational database - was just the ticket and went ahead and set up 3 tables: faculty (demographics), Textbook Publishers, and the actual textbook requests (made by the faculty). Some request 1 set of a single book, others request multiple books for various grade levels. Once I got my tables set up, and linked the relevant fields, I couldn’t figure out how to create a single form that would allow a faculty member to - a: add their demographic info if not already in, or select from the one’s already entered b: add a publisher contact information, or, select from publishers already entered and c: provide about 8 specific details about a given textbook (including copyright, ISBN#, title, hardcover/paperback/digital etc.) I wound up putting links to each form so if they check the dropdown and the info from the other tables isn’t there

Hi there, I have a simple short text field that I want to monitor for changes. Basically the user inputs a OneDrive Folder Name and I send data to an integromat webhook containing that folder name so that integromat can look up the folder ID and send it back to airtable. However, I am experiencing strange behaviour: When I update the field and type in for example “PWC”, the automation already triggers when I enter “P” but i haven’t fnished entering. Hi, I’m having trouble figuring out how to create a path in Zapier that is true if the “Find Record” action actually finds a record, and false if it doesn’t find a record. Correct me if i’m wrong, but there doesn’t seem the be a “Found record” filter for the paths, Any idea? Example: Trigger Find Record in Airtable based on Trigger Path A) If any record found —> 4. “Action 1” Path B) If no record found —> 4. “Action 2” Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Hi, Im trying to trigger am automatic email to go out to contacts once I select it in the fields. The first half of the setup texts fine, but then the second half (the actual email) keeps giving me an error message- see image. My email says it is set up, both in Airtable and in gmail. Hi there, I run a company that sells an dleases equipment to B2B clients. I have a process where I use a form to input the client info, and their requirements. I also have an app (page designer) that formats the info into a nice looking one page quote. Right now I have to: Fill in the form Go into the app Save the app as a pdf Open my email account Compose an email and attach the quote Is there an automation I could do that- As soon as I finish the form, it generates an email including the page designed pdf as an attachment? Hi all- We are looking for a way to build a template for our client to send them a monthly “Progress Report” in a dashboard fashion. I’m looking to have the data populate from our spreadsheet into the airtable template. Has anyone done this before? Also, if this is possible, once this is built-in Airtable is it shareable to our client if they don’t have an Airtable account? How does this work so they can get the data? Hello:) I am very new to Airtable and am having a hard time figuring this out on my own. I have a data base on Airtable where I have over 200 members of the organisation I work in with their emails and dates of birth. Now I want to create an automation, that is triggered on the members birthdays, sending them a ‘Happy Birthday’ Email without me having to look after it regularly. Hi! I’ve created base and table, to which all new orders from my Woocommerc shop are imported through Zapier. I wanted to create an automation (through Airtable, not Zapier) that would send me an e-mail with the number of orders and their sum at the end of the day. I’ve created automation to run every day, and search for orders which day is “today”. Unfortunately, I cannot find a way, to sum order amount and insert it into an e-mail. Do you have any tips on how to do that? Do you think it is even possible? Thanks in advance!

I was wondering if there was a way to create an automation where when I update a single select (from In Process to Complete), if an automation could be done to update the date column to TODAY(). I would like to do this without changing the date on previous completed assignments, is this possible?

I have created a two step automation where the condition is based on a date. If any of the dates in a certain field is before today, which they all are, the automation is supposed to update that record and create a new one. Hi evreyone. I’ve created an automation to send an email recap for appointments. I have a date and time field that is formatted with DATETIME_FORMAT and that shows up correctly in grid view. yet, when I insert this field in an email, the preview shows me an Iso formatting… I’ve looked around but haven’t found an answer. I am new to Airtable and setting up coaching system. A batch (table Batch) will have start & end date and one batch will have one coach. I have another table (CoachBandwidth) to calculate the coach bandwidth based on its allocation. Coach can be part of multiple Batches. If the batch is of 4 month duration from Sep 2021 - Dec 2021 than I need 4 records to be inserted/updated for each month (Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec 2021) based on number of student it is coaching. How can I achieve inserting multiple records (table CoachBandwidth) based on new record added into table Batch ? Is it possible to achieve using Airtable Automation or any other suggestion ?

I am new to airtable and trying to understand its functionality. My plan is to use it primarily to send and manage email communications. Does anyone know if there is functionality in airtable enough so that when someone responds to an email campaign, the status for that individual is automatically updated to report it as such? Any guidance would be appreciated.

I use an Automation to classify records that are generated from incoming emails, using string matching. The script is triggered whenever a new record enters an Airtable view. Over time, these incoming emails change, so I frequently need to make adjustments and tweaks to the classifier script as new email types are encountered that were not successfully classified in the first pass of the script. This creates a problem where by the time I’ve updated the script to accommodate some newly discovered content in a new email type, the system may have already received many tens of emails of this new type, and these will be unclassified, so I need to manually classify them. I want to find the best way to re-run the classification script over these records already in the view - ie so that every time I make a change and save an updated version of the classifier script, the script would then re-run over the records in the view and the second pass would be able to successful

I’m making a webhook automation that finds a record. When putting in the condition I want to simply find the event that matches the ID sent to the webhook but I can only insert the length none of the values they just say continue indefinitely.
