I have one automation (A) that must fire before another (B) after I import records with the CSV Import app. Automation A addresses a unique field value in 1 record, and Automation B will run for all records imported, including the record updated by A. Is there I way I can force A to run before B? Thank you!

I have there tables that connect: Contact Log Students Contacts What I want is an automation (or a script, but I am just learning Javascript so I am not there yet) that when I link a student into the contact log table it automatically looks up that student in the contacts table and links those contacts into the contact log table.

I am wondering if anyone has a way to pause all automations for all bases with one button? and then can turn them all back on with one button?

I have created many successful automations, however most recently, when I try to duplicate an automation, I am getting errors when I run a test. The only thing I’m changing is the person who is receiving the notification, nothing else; nonetheless I’m getting an error saying “Message” refers to a trigger or action that does not exist. Help!

I’ve got some form data coming into a table, and I’m then using those fields from newly created records to search for corresponding records in another table. I was mystified why the automation was sometimes bombing, but I’ve determined that stray trailing blank spaces are passed by the form, and will cause a string match to fail. I realize I could add a formula field to then ‘TRIM’ all of these strings coming in from the form, but gosh that’s kinda sucky to create duplicate formula fields for everything. Is there a better approach that I’m not aware of?

I have 3 tables: 1 - Incomes, 2 - Outcomes and 3 - Monthly reports. I’m trying to link new records in tables 1-2 to the appropriate record in table 3. in tables 1-2 I have a formula field which gives year and month (e.g. “2021 01”). The 1st column in table 3 is “YYYY MM”. I created automation that trigger in new record in table 1, finds the matching record in table 3, and updates it with the newly created record. And it worked as planned! When I tried to do the same thing on the 2nd table I encountered the problem in the picture - I can not insert the record to search by. It only allows me to enter the metadata of the record (only length is available). Any ideas what the issue might be? Do you know what are the criterias for inserting record’s field in the automation? Any thoughts will be highly appreciated!

I would like to sort the list of automations in order to harmonize it with our work flow. Is that possible? Thank you Klaus

I Think this may not be possible, but I thought you all may be able to help. We do food with a menu that has different portion sizes based on age group. (Daycares). The daycares, (state funding regulations) need calendars from us that reflect the serving sizes of each menu item. We have a couple tabs that house the basic information for the items and have two separate columns-1-2 year old portion size and 3-5 year old portion sizes. We use linked records and lookup fields to create a 1-2 year old menu tab and a 3-5 year old menu tab (separate tabs), so the calendar view can be a FORMULA which includes the pertinant information for the age group (See YoFreshFood.com/alta) Where we are running into struggles is if we change something on the 1-2 year old tab , we also have to make the change to the 3-5-year-old t

I have an Airtable Form setup which collects client info when the client is interested in scheduling an appointment. The form creates a new record in my database. I’m trying to automate sending an email to the client when the form is submitted. I would like to avoid using the “Record created” trigger since I will occasionally be manually adding records that I do not want to trigger the email.

I followed the Airtable tutorial on reminders to the letter: How to create a simple reminder – Airtable Support However, I’m getting an error, it looks like perhaps my formula is failing, although I copied and pasted it from the guide. Any ideas?

Hello, i want to use a output element from my trigger as a dynamic condition of a “find record step”. But this element is not there ! Here is the ouput after the trigger test : the produits_LAB is not empty and then I can’t scroll down. These are the only data available. any idea ? I’m trying to figure out how to keep a View sorted in a chronological order. Initially, a client fills out a form online which collects their pertinent info and adds them to my database. After discussing the needs of my client they send me a deposit to get on my waitlist. I have set up a “Waitlist” View in my base that filters clients based on whether or not I have received a deposit. I would like the “Waitlist” view to be sorted in the order that deposits are received. Ideally, when I receive a deposit, I enter it into the “Deposit” field, which automatically adds it to the “Waitlist” view. How do I keep this view sorted in the order that deposits are added (or in the order that they are added to the “Waitlist” view)?

Hey maybe someone can help me. Im tracking Tasks with Clockify. I have a simple Task list in Airtable, where i want to write the complete Duration Time i have Spend on a task. (From Clockify) I want only write the duration to airtable if the project in Clockify is “finished”. There is no “finished” but there is “archived” , this could be an trigger. But unfortunately Zapier and Integromat dont have the trigger “Project archived” Question: How can i trigger an automation in clockify when i finish the project and write only the total duration to airtable? THX

Копировать из заявки в клиенты я понял как, а вот как проверить есть ли клиент такой или нет? ] И на основе проверки уже создавать нового клиента или обновить старого с повторной заявкой

I have Table A, which has a field Containers. Containers can have multiple entries from linked table Container. Table B has a field linked to Table A, and a field Used Containers that can have multiple entries from linked table Container. When I’m in Table B, and I select an entry from Table A, I want to populate Used Containers with the values from Table A Containers field. Is this possible? Thank you.

Hello :slightly_smiling_face: I am trying to update multiple records at the same time with a single automation. Here is my setup: In the same table, I have one PARENT product that has many CHILD products, all being separate records. There is a “Link to another record” column in the PARENT, with a link to each of its childs. When I update some fields in the PARENT record, I want them to be copied back to the CHILD same field. Is it possible to setup an automation to use ALL the Records ID from the linked field? I tried simply adding the field with the links to the needed “record ID” of the automation, but it gives an error, as it expects only one. After trying many things, I have figured out that I might have to do the reverse and with the help of a lookup. I mean having each CHILD to check if the PARENT fields has been updated recently, then, if yes, copy it. This could probably work, but I would n

Hi, I was facing a problem when I tried to open the record link send by Airtable Automation to my email. The link does not bring me to the record in my mobile apps but it just stay on the home page of airtable in my mobile apps. Is it I’m the only one facing this issue?

Hi all - I set up an automation to add data from one sheet (Phil/Jennie check-in) into another (Tasks) automatically. When I test the automation out, it works, and the data is copied over, but when I let it run on its own, it delivers blank records. Has anybody run into a problem like this? Thanks!

Hello! I’m trying to see if there is a way to send a grid view of a record automatically when a form is submitted. I can send all the relevant data using automations and send email, but the format of that email isn’t working for us. We’d much prefer the grid view that gets emailed when you right click on a record in grid view and select “send record.” But I can figure out how to automate that! Please help! Cheers, Nathan

Hi, I’d like to rebound on a question by @Javier_Growth_Lab which has not been solved and the topic closed. I have set an automation to send a mail to my base collaborators. It works for all of them but one, The email is correct and is associated to my collaborator’s account. I did not set any address restrictions and he otherwise can perfectly interact with and edit the base. So I am a bit lost, I’ve tried the automations step by step and it works for other users, but for that one collaborator, the run fail message reports that I can’t email non-collaborators - but he is indeed a collaborator.
