I’m looking for someone with in depth knowledge of Airtable that can help me redesign my main shared spreadsheet for my business. I run a transport business with over 50 lorries out daily, currently we’re split over multiple spreadsheets & asana but I’d like to simplify our workflow by bringing the administration department & sales into our main global programme. I’ve got as far as my knowledge of excel lets me and would like to see if Airtable could provide a solution. This may be obvious to many, but it eluded me until today… It is a HELL OF A LOT easier to code (and debug) formulas in Textedit (or the text editor of your choice), inserting returns between segments (B). When you paste your code into Airtable, it’ll smartly remove those returns and create the code block we’re used to seeing (A). Hi I have a base that records appointments we obtain for our clients. It pulls linked data and sends out zapier emails and records calendar events plus sets up followup draft emails - and it works fairly well. I’d like to improve the functionality of the forms and organize the relational tables a bit better. Basically, clean it up and iron out a system that’s bug-free and easy to maintain. Hi, I’m a newish member of a six-person communication and marketing team, and we are interested in using Airtable for project management. I have used Airtable in the past and am fairly comfortable with it—the rest of my team does not have experience with it—but we are hoping to reduce the burden on any one staff person by working with an experienced outside consultant to get a comprehensive workspace set up. I’m like to score someone’s responses to a form, but don’t know where I’d start. For example, I have a row with three choices: rock, pop, and jazz. Depending on the choice you make on the form it then gives you a score. Say I choose rock and it gives me a score: ‘cool’. I’d then like to build on that with other choices. So the form might ask if I prefer CDs or records. I choose records, and it gives me an updated score linked to my original choice. I’m now ‘very cool’. Does that make sense? And is it possible?

I think this is a medium-easy task. I need three-four tables, that are interconnected for coordinating an event. The time table is short - next week or so. The budget is shorter - we are an all volunteer new organization. No data to worry about - just need to get the framework set up to put it into. I can make the various fields, but where I need help is with the linking. The main list is a list of exhibitors. Some are also on Tab 2 as speakers. Simple, right? Where I need help is in making it so if someone is added as a Speaker, they automatically get added to the Exhibitor list. Then I need to have a 3rd Tab - Sponsors, who also automatically get added to the Exhibitor list. There is a 4th Tab - one for the company. It would track the role and year, based on the above entered data. I have built out a base that our marketing & communications team hopes to use for project management, editorial calendars, and eventually some analysis and reporting. We are a church diocese (a geographical grouping of churches) overseeing 45 church congregations and about 120 individual ordained clergy personnel and a similar number of individual lay church leaders within the 45 churches. We have created three bases representing the three areas of data management: 1) The Office of the Bishop or Diocese is the top level 2) the second base is Churches where all 45 congregations information is managed and 3) Clergy.where we track the 120+ individual clergy personnel. All of those three bases were created from Excel spreadsheets where we once tracked this information. We need someone who can help us to: Manage the three bases and link data within the bases to eliminate duplication of effort when records are updated. For example, an individual clergy person updates his/her record in the Clergy base, but he/she is also attached to one of the 45 churches in the Church base and he/she may also serve on one of several committees operating in the Diocese

I have two short term rentals-- and this year will be expanding to 6. I use several different platforms – Airbnb, Booking.com, Homeaway, etc. In order to manage all of these, I use a management software called Tokeet, which has APIs with all the major platforms and pulls in my bookings into a centralized calendar and also allows me to send out automated messages to guests. My ideal is to use Airtable to do this…or at least to have the Tokeet API connect with Airtable to bring in the data from that platform. Looking for someone who can help me with this.

I could not figure out why when doing an alphabetical sort, some records were coming in “at the bottom.” For example I’d have A to Z for records 1 to 100 followed by a second A to Z of records 101 to 200. I could see no extra spaces, or anything to indicate why this was happening. At long last I discovered that occasionally CSV imports (mine were exported from Zoho) have a glitch where hidden tabs can tag along. The fix is a wee bit tedious, as you can’t just do a global replace (I did try that!), but it sure beats the alternative of retyping things (which was what I did for a while before getting determined enough to find the answer). Steps: Open exported CSV file in your spreadsheet program. For each column, insert a blank column next to it on the right. In that column, add the formula =CLEAN(A1) [or whatever cell is your first entry]. Use the copy / drag function (copy, format down) to fill the entire second column. That column now has clean data with no extemporaneous tabs. It

Our successful startup nonprofit is using Airtable to track advanced participation and outcomes data and we would like to hire a consultant to coach us to use advanced views, formulas and filtering to “run reports” on our data (tabulating participation filtered to specific activities or date ranges or participant demographics), including offering suggestions for better table/base/field configurations. Ideally we wouldn’t want someone to just create the views/filters for us, but to work with us to create them and teach us how to think more cleverly about how we do things in Airtable. The ideal consultant would be equally skilled at creating advanced formulas, filters and views as well as teaching others how to create them (and communicating why). I am the owner of a creative agency and we are looking to consolidate and streamline our current business management system. Currently, we are using multiple Google Spreadsheets, along with Harvest and Trello (and QBO, but we don’t need to mess with that). Our system works, but it is cumbersome and I know we could be more efficient with how it all works together. I have done a lot of research into Airtable and think it will be a great solution for pulling everything together into a more efficient system for myself and team to use, along with running Zapier (?) to automate how everything works. Basically, just a complicated formula that updates the due date field each week to the same day of the week and time of day. Make a table that will act as a template for new tasks. This Post got me started. Make a date field, with the time, that will set the time you want to be your due date each week.
