I have come across a way to eliminate the blank preview and broken download of uploaded PDF documents. Before uploading the PDF to Airtable I’ll open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro and save the PDF as a PDF/A. I also select the “Settings” option in the “Save As” window and turn on the Apply Corrections option. I have a attached a screen shot of the “Settings” options. I hope this helps someone. If this is already known knowledge, please feel free to delete this post.
Today, Integromat have announced their updated integration with Airtable! I have been recommending Integromat to Airtable users for Automation and Integration for some time and this updated release removes the biggest issue with using the two together - the timeouts experienced when designing processes. I’ve written an introductory blog post about the new version (and have several other posts about Integromat on my site as well) - and I think this is potentially a game changer for Airtable: Database Resources New Airtable / Integromat Integration | Learn more about Cloud Databases Ideas and reviews of Cloud Database platforms My conclusion - I think Integromat can really be seen as the ‘language’ to use to automate your Airtable workflows.
I run a content agency that writes and publishes blog posts for other companies and need to scale to hundreds of blog posts per month from dozens of writers. I am looking for an Airtable consultant who has experience building templates for content production companies to bring ideas that work to the table. I like some of the Airtable example templates and believe we can build off there. I’d like a bit more complex features such as the ones listed in these articles: blog.airtable./agency-in-a-box-using-airtable-to-manage-content-contractors-clients/ blog.airtable./4-000-pieces-of-content-15-writers-across-3-time-zones-and-1-editor/ 7 User roles: Business Owner (me) Editor (manager, me currently) SEO Content Writer Graphic Designer Article Poster Press Release Writer & Poster Customer Users attributes (preferably with intake form): Email Skype Job Site URL Location Timezone How many tasks can they do per week? Cost (hidden, assigned by admin) Which customers they have access to
Publishing/Entertainment company looking for an expert to help set up formulas for production schedule. These are complex and based on an existing spreadsheet.
We are a small non-profit and would like to use Airtable to build a database for case management. One of our programs is of a social work nature: we support new and expectant parents who have received a diagnosis of Down syndrome. We do so by offering information, connection to medical and other resources, and providing materials. Our sources of input are: A form on our website that should feed into the database Emails and phone calls with information that is entered manually or with a form The kinds of information we need to track are: First Contact information Information about the parents Information about the baby Referrals made Medical providers Materials provided Notes The trickiest part of this project is that it needs to be designed in a way that volunteers who have limited technical skills can input data and access case records easily.
We 're a nonprofit, and we keep a database of foundations to which we plan to apply for grants. Some of them have no deadlines, while others have 1, 2, 3, or 4 deadlines per year. We record each deadline in a separate column/field (we’re using the free version, so we can’t access the multiple dates feature), with field titles {Deadline 1}, {Deadline 2}, etc. We now have a new field that outputs the next deadline in reader-friendly format, if there is one, based on a thorough nesting of IF() statements. Here, the statement names “IF2”, “IF3”, etc. are for keeping track of things while assembling, but the final assembly at the end just includes the conditional statements. IF1: If Deadline 1 is blank, blank, else IF2 IF({Deadline 1}=BLANK(), BLANK(), IF2) IF2: If Deadline 1 is after today, Deadline 1, else IF3 IF(IS_AFTER({Deadline 1}, TODAY()), DATETIME_FORMAT({Deadline 1}, 'll'), IF3) IF3: If Deadline 2 is blank, IF9, else IF4 IF({Deadline 2}=BLANK(), IF9, IF4) IF4: If Deadline 2 is aft
I created a COMPLETELY FREE Zapier integration for AirTable that will give you advanced automation features beyond what AirTable’s integration provides you, and you can get it here. I’ll be sharing a Medium blog post down the road on how to do all of this yourself, too. In the meantime, here is a list below of what I have done today, and what is coming soon: Name Zapier Type Description Released New Record Trigger Triggers when a new record is available in your specified base and table. Yes New Record in View Trigger Triggers when a new record is available in your specified base, table, and view. Yes Create Record Action Create a new record in your specified base and table. Looking for help to setup an inventory database. I’ve been playing with airtable for a couple of weeks and believe it will work well for me. If your interested please contact me at Seraiocco@yahoo.com.
We recently began using airtable for our theater company DB. Its working great, but there is some more functionality, especial workflows, that we would like to build out and we do not have the skills. Anyone in here interested in being a consultant on a project like this? Please let me know. Ryan Long (aka Clyde) Executive Director: Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company info@riddlesbrood.com
I am a process guy, a large percentage of my work experience has been in manufacturing environments where I grew to love to power of Lean tools. Kanban isn’t the only resource that can be utilized in the Information Technology sector, Standard Work and Kaizen are equally as adaptable! The basic premise is this, your team needs to execute the most effective and efficient process possible. That means being able to quickly adapt your standard processes when a member(s) of your team find a way to improve a process. This is one of the ways that you can incorporate continuous improvement (Kaizen) across a team or organization. On the back end of Kaizen is the ugly business of updating your process documentation. Currently that means manually updating/reformatting an HTML table every time my team makes a change and then manually updating a flow chart diagram to match the change. This is time I should be spending training my team on the new process, not manually formatting a document. Thanks t
Hey there! I’m putting together a sales lead board for my sales reps and office admin. I need a few basic things: -Office admin needs to be able to have a high level view of all incoming leads and the various touches we have with them as they move through the sales process. I need to board to calculate a few things for my sales reps -close rate -average closed $ value over a given time period -total quotes sent over a given period -it also needs to be able to sort leads by geography so they can set routes for their sales calls. what i have so far is a sales pipeline template with a Google Maps block integration. what i need help with is structuring it so that the board does the calculations i need and displays them in a straightforward way. ideally i would like to use this board as a sales leaderboard as well. I’m looking for someone who’s versed in the formulas, rollups and pivot tables. Need this assembled asap. Let me know if you think you can help!
After the success of our On2Air: Actions launch, we built a tool to give some juicy functionality to forms for Airtable. These are the forms you’ve (probably) been looking for. :robot: POLL: Which feature(s) for forms would be most useful for you with Airtable? (If I missed something, let me know in comments) Edit already existing records Instant updates to base data from form submission Conditional Logic (View/Hide Fields, Multi-Page, etc) Prefill Field Values Ability to search within your database from form fields More customization options (HTML or other) 0 voters You got me. The nifty tool we made does all of the above +some. Note: This requires an active Airtable and Jotforms account to work Disclaimer: We are not associated with Airtable or Jotform. Using this tool requires entering your API key into the On2Air: Forms widget within Jotform. . What does it do? We built this tool (called On2Air: Forms) to answer the myriad of requests we’ve heard both from our own cli
Hello, I would like some help putting a complex formula into Airtable to calculate a pricing model. Also I would like someone to look over an existing Airtable inventory system and show me ways to improve it. We run a home staging service called Vision Home. The inventory system is complex because the product if moved to different location before it is sold off. Thank you, Austin Price austin@visionhome.biz 239.887.5336
I needed to update Airtable with info pulled from a custom CMS that doesn’t have the export feature I needed, so I wrote a quick Javascript bookmarklet that scrapes the values from the page, looks up the corresponding record and updates it. Not the most robust script, but it’s saving me lots of time! Now all I have to do is browse to the page of each contact that I’m looking for and click on this bookmark. Could easily be adapted to use Airtable as a bookmark manager, or a way to save snippets and images. javascript:(function(){ fields = {}; fields["Email Address"] = jQuery("#email").val().toLowerCase(); fields["Address"] = jQuery("#addressstreet1").val(); fields["Address 2"] = jQuery("#addressstreet2").val(); fields["City"] = jQuery("#addresscity").val(); fields["State"] = jQuery("#addressstate").val(); fields["Zip"] = jQuery("#addresspostalcode").val(); fields["Country"] = jQuery("#addresscountry").val(); if (jQuery("#gender_female").is(':checked')){ fields["Gender"] =
I’m happy to announce the launch of Quickflow, a tool designed to save time on manual tasks by integrating web apps together! Airtable is one of the connected apps that Quickflow integrates with others such as Google Drive, Slack, and Dropbox (with new apps being added every day). You can give Quickflow a test run at https://www.getquickflow.com, it’s completely free to try. If there are any particular integrations you’d like to see, please let me know at ricky@getquickflow.com. Thanks!
Greetings, We’re a small, non-profit organization that is fairly new to Airtable and are soliciting proposals from consultants who have extensive Airtable or database experience. Our goal date to have this completed is early June and our budget is under $3000. If interested after reading the below, please contact me with your rate, background experience with Airtable, and your initial proposed scope of work. We primarily use Airtable to track our federal grant work plan deliverables, strategic plan, and service utilization (somewhat). Our current setup suffices in some ways, but there are gaps I’ve noted and I’m certain there is a more efficient way to organize the tables than what’s set up. We’d like someone to look at our current setup, and based on our business needs, re-configure it more efficiently. Below are specifics: What we currently do, but needs help: • Track # of training sessions (through various stages) within a given time period • Track # of technical assistance encount
Hi, We’re a philanthropic organization that uses Airtable as a grants and relationship management tool. We are fairly savvy with it, but I’d like to hire someone to do specific projects I have in mind that I don’t have time for. There are ebbs and flows with projects depending on the time of year. Some current Airtable support I’d like right now is: Create a survey/form asking multiple stakeholders to rate an organization. Take that information and use Page Designer block to present the summary information and data to allow a group to assess and vote. Recommending and creating blocks (like pivot tables) to help many stakeholders see summary financial data. A general review of our base to offer suggestions with how to use it better. One-off questions I might have on how to enter and link data. Not urgent but (eventually) use zapier to import data from grant applications If you have experience thinking through this type of project, please contact me with your rate, background as an
Need someone with strong expertise of Airtable’s API to consult with on a custom developed integration between Airtable and a vue js database. Currently, we have the tables we want to mimic in Airtable but we don’t know how best to format them (lookup tables, arrays, primary keys etc…) such that they will best integrate with our tool. I’m a product manager for a venture-backed startup in SF and I am willing to pay competitive hourly rates for work on this project.
Colorado Horse Rescue is a 501©(3) impact organization. Our mission is to provide a safe solution for every horse in need. We are looking for support to create our “equine management system” using Airtable. There are no robust EMS systems on the market, and based on initial testing on Airtable, we believe with the right support we can build what we need. Please reach out if you are interested and would like additional information.
Hey all, I need a simple project management base. I want to be able to view things by deadline or by category, but I also want to be able to dive deeper into each day or category. It’s not a complicated set up at all – I just don’t have time to figure out how Airtable works. If you’re available ASAP and budget friendly, reach out. :slightly_smiling_face:
I can be reached at fb@promolacrosse.com. Possible integration work as well.
Hi I need some help with my tables. Connecting columns, and making them talk to each other. Hiring a consultant. Ty
I’ve now touched down again, gotten over the obligatory cross-country-flight-induced cold, largely muddled through the [DST-intensified] time change, and begun the process of establishing an East Coast base of operations. (Bridging the San-Francisco-to-Southside-Virginia cultural shift would have been impossible in so short a time — quite likely impossible, one suspects,* regardless the time allowed.) Accordingly, I should be increasingly present in Airtable community and increasingly available in general for assistance and consultation. I’m working my way through the backlog of promised responses — but, given this transition has taken so much longer than I first expected, feel free to remind me you’re still waiting. My mobile, annoyingly, doesn’t appear to have survived the journey, so for the next day or two the best way to reach me is through a PM here or an email to wvannhall@paladesigns.com.
I’m looking for assistance setting up automated Airtable searches through integrations with Integromat or Zapier (or other). I would like to create complex formulas for searching a product database triggered by a new customer entry into a separate database. I’m looking first for guidance on if what I’m looking to do is possible, and if so, the time and cost it would take to complete the set up. Thanks, Cristy
I have 3 laboratory instruments that I want to push data into a table with timestamps. I will work up a more detailed data specification before we start. Interface is RS-232 over Blutooth and Infrared. The parsing data is very clear and detailed documentation for the right expert to implement this solution quickly. The baud rate is very slow, and total record is probably only 14k . Want it to push a data table to Airtable on my phone. Only advanced programmers who really know what they’re doing with this API, I’m looking for a finished product with some alpha and beta changes.
