Interface Designer

Hi,Someone shared an Air Table Interface with me and made me the editor.  When I accept the invite and logon with google on a PC, I'm able to see the interface and access it.  However, when i'm on my android phone and try to access it via the Android app, nothing is displaying.  The Recent tab has a message "No Recently open apps", and when I selected the "Starred" tab, it also said "Nothing Starred yet".  Try to browse, nothing is displayed.  The notification on the app does show a message that someone is sharing the interface with us, but nothing happened after we  click on the notification as well.Any ideas?ThanksDat

I am looking to find a formula that takes you right to the Interface from the source table, with the record expanded on the right side inside the Interface and also specific to what ever is pre-selected on the "Drop Down" option. So I want it based on the user that is selected in the drop down, in this case - I am working with a timeline. Any suggestions? airtable.com/appID/pagID/recIDThanks!

Problem...A business software license broker has 200+ records of inventory available for lease. Currently she sends her customers a link to a google sheet. Then they email her back with what they have picked, and the deal moves down the pipeline. There are issues with follow up and communication which result in a lot of missed opportunities. Each deal requires several variables be determined such as Price negotiation, length of term, location, server hosting requirements, etc. additionally there are document generation issues which further slow the process, purchase orders, nondisclosure agreements, and sales contracts. These are all generated by hand allowing for additional project slippage.In an attempt to automate this process she moved the inventory records into a base and created some views then created some forms to allow provider/vendors to easily add new inventory offerings via an embedded form, or she could easily enter it herself while on a phone call. Hi Team,Would it be possible to limit the number of decimals in Interfaces charts? Please see the example below. The data is not very legible because there are too many decimals after the coma, when calculating an average. Thanks

I’m really enjoying the new collaborator views on interfaces. But I wish buttons could pass the collaborator information of who pressed them, especially for automations and scripts.It solves the problem of multiple collaborators checking the same checkbox, getting the collaborator information from a last modified by field, and waiting for an automation to uncheck the same checkbox so someone else can do it. I don’t know if it’s a tall ask, but it’d really help me refine user-specific controls and automations. thanks!

I have a linked field in my Customer’s Table called services. On the interface page I want to show the notes of those services. Currently I have a Gallery View, but you can only show 4 lines of the field. Is there any way to show more information without having to click and open the Service? Or is there another way to show this data? Thank you,

I have enabled Airtable's native password protection feature for my form created using the Interface Designer. When someone navigates to my form's URL, they need to enter the form password in order to access the form.How long can someone access the form after entering the form password? When testing on my computer and phone, I noticed that I can continue to access the form for about 24 hours after first submitting the form password without having to submit the form password again. After that time, I am prompted to reenter the form password. Does Airtable require the password to be resubmitted every 24 hours?

Is it possible to prefill a password for a form?Something like this: https://airtable.com/baseID/pag23482374823/form?prefill_password={password} This would be really helpful because sometimes I need to send a form with sensitive linked records to people who do not have base access.

When I am on Safari on the iPad I cannot see the “add element” button on in the interface editor.  I can see this button when I access the same interface but using Linux/Windows. 

How do I delete an interface LAYOUT (i.e., when I click on a linked record on a page and it opens another page in the drawer with a customized LAYOUT). I have a whole bunch of excess layouts that I was experimenting with and it has made a mess of my ability to apply the right layout setting because the dropdown has tonnes of bad layout options that, and I like to delete them so that the don't get inadvertently applied across my interface. SCREENSHOT:https://www.screencast.com/t/SiKFWk30oXjA 

I am trying to find a solution to printing interface out tasks in a A4 portrait Layout, but currently if users print its several pages of mess. I have build a page layout in extension 'Page Designer' but unable to create this as a button as to allow the users viewing in interface to be able to print the details. Any Ideas how to print interface? Ideally would like it to be a button as I need it to be user friendly, who have only Interface viewer access only. 

Hello,I'm created a registration form. I need the users to select their specific identification information. The information is stored in another base. I can create a link to the appropriate base field and this information will display in the second bases registration form. However, the information is displayed as a single row and it's a long row of information that gets cutoff in the form. I want to stack the information. I tried using \n creating a line break however, rtf data is not passed through a linked primary field (I can only link a primary field).Any suggestions for using one base that stores the following: State, award number, award titleand linking that information to another base as a selectable field in a form?

Hi There, Wondering if any one has noticed that the bar chart in interfaces by default is set to stack and there is no option to change it. Also there is no way to change the format of the data presented. If any one knows otherwise gthat would be great help.

We have a table syncing to our team's base that gives a summary of our workstations: like the user's name, start and end date, and the booking availability, (available, booked, on hold), station nameWe'd love a chart or report that allows us to look into the future by selecting a day or date range in the future, and get back the number of stations available and number booked on a given day or within the date range given.Is this possible? Trying to use the charts and filters in Interface designer but unsure how to get what I want. I think the issue is if a station's Booking Availability field is "Available", then the dates would be empty. So I think I'm realizing trying to use filters based on dates won't get me info on stations set to "Available"

Airtable, Please consider adding tabs/pages to the Record review area. There are workflows were you do not want to be scrolling up and down. Tabs would allow “pages” for other fields, text descriptions, etc. This would be similar to using the Description app. Thanks, Jonathan

I have some interfaces where list views are grouped by client name.  I would like a "collapse all" or "expand all" function so that in those interfaces, it is possible to quickly expand all the lists or collapse them and then go one-by-one.  The only "global" controls that I see are filter and sort.  Are there others, or some way to do "collapse all" and "expand all" elsewhere?  Thanks.

I have a dashboard using a Timeline view. Add records is enabled. I can click on the plus button to add a record, but the dates are always odd and not reflective of where I am in the timeline. But if I try to do the click and drag to add the record directly in the timeline window it doesn't do anything. is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Hi everyone,In an interface form, I have this field that is linked to another source.When clinking the "+ Add record", my end user will have the possibility to link a record from another table.Unfortunately, when I click on the "+ Add record" button, a new form open, with nothing but just the autonumber of the record, and no other details.As you can see on the picture above, just the autonumber, which is somewhat really tricky to know which record to select...Details for the form's parameters here :Can someone please explain how to show all the details from the other table on that form?Thank you a lot,Elie

I have a lot of different clients who are using internal data entry with customized forms through the interface designer.It's such a waste of space now.  And I'm stuck looking like it's external form when I just want a clean internal entry form for my clients for whatever they want to do.PLEASE bring back the internal form maker so I can position and resize the entry fields for internal forms. 

Hey guys,I am looking for a way to add records form a linked field using a form.Heres what I what I have right now:GFX Request Form to create a new dated request in the Requests table, I have a linked field to "Individual GFX"  to track the individual GFX for each request. Obviously on the interface forms that linked field shows up as a dropdown to choose existing records of individual GFX, I need to be able to make new records. I've seen some posts about this pointing to outside forms and I'd like to avoid using that unless you have a reliable secure form site.Let me know if there's some scripting or automation you know of to do this. OR! Is this something that can be implemented in the future oh airtable overlords? 

Hey guys,I am trying to figure out how to use the Timeline Summarize to count the number of tasks with an end date field instead of the start field field from the timeline date settings. I use the timeline to lay out projects phases and milestones and have both displaying with milestones being tasks/records with only "due dates". Currently the count only counts the main date field for the timeline (start date field) when i need it to count the end date. I'm trying to figure out a way to maybe use a formula and sum to count the number of tasks for each day but can't seem to figure out a good way to do that. If anyone has any ideas let me know!Thanks!

Hi there--I'm trying to setup a three-tiered list in the interface builder. Some of the tiers also leverage linked records. I have enabled click into linked record and even designed the card that should fly out when the record is double clicked, but it is not behaving as expected. Instead, it just reopens (click 1) and closes (click 2) the record when I double click on it. I'm experienced setting up interfaces with openable linked fields in general, but have not worked in the multi-tiered list format before. Does it behave differently here?Thank you 🙂

I am trying to replicate something that I know I did previously, but cannot find the right options to do it now.I've created an Interface with a page layout that is designed exactly as it needs to be.  (Record Review, but I don't think that matters.)  It is drawing from Table X, with a filter for only records that match Y.I want to duplicate that page exactly, and then change the underlying filter.  So, this page should be identical except that it's drawing from Table X, and filtering for only records that match Z.  (I do not want to add a filtering element that can be toggled by the user of the Interface.)I did this easily about 9 months ago, but cannot figure out how to do it now.  I can duplicate a page, but cannot find where I change anything about the underlying data or filtering.  Anyone know how?  Thanks!
