Please add a fit-to-width option for columns. Right now I have to manually shrink each column for short-data columns. Thank you!

I would love to be able to have a record appear in two groups when using a multiple select field, rather than having the record create a new group that is the combination:i.e.Record 1 — ARecord 2 — BRecord 3 — A,BGroup ARecord 1Record 3Group BRecord 1Record 3Current functionality creates a new group called Group A,B and each group then only has one record.

It has been a helpful tool for my team in data entry and clean-up to create interface pages where the underlying records can be easily edited to add discovered missing entries or update a field for a given record. Especially for my team members that are less data savy and have a harder time with raw spreadsheets! I have been able to design pages from some of the page layout templates (such as "blank" or "record viewer") that have been great for our team to use! However, it seems this functionality is not available in the "dashboard" interface page. Maybe I'm missing how this can be accomplished but if not, having the option to edit the underlying data/records would be a great addition to make the dashboard interface more powerful!

I am surprised that no one requested this before, but no kanban board is useful without Swimlanes :slightly_smiling_face: Like Kanban “Grouping Field” where we can appoint it to a field of type “Collaborator” or “Single Select”, Swimlanes should be defined based on the desired field type

In automations I use scripts to make external api calls. These api calls may occasionally fail due to rate limiting / network issues etc..I would love the option to automatically retry an automation step if it fails, preferably configurable like retry max 3 times with exponential backoff

It would be great to be able to sort stacks in the Kanban view according to different criteria. Our use case is for work orders. As they go through different work centers, their priorities will change. An example would be sorting the Press stack by Press Priority from first-last, and the Packaging stack by Packaging Priority from first-last. Thanks

Hello Airtable & Airtable Community,I'd like to see if there's support for a kind of Global Element top navigation bar for Interfaces that I can use across multiple bases of my workspace.  For example, I have different bases for:QuotingPlanningOrderingProductionHRand I'd like a user to be able to navigate between them without going to the Home screen.  I know some users have implemented buttons at the top of the page, but it would seem to me that you'd have to do that on every Interface page (manually create each set of 5 buttons, manually input the URLs).  Certainly possible, but a bit painful to implement.  I have 2-3 Interfaces each with 5-10 Interface Pages, per base. It would be great to be able to define which "buttons" show for which users based on their permissions. Thanks for any tips or info on whether this is in the pipeline.

Idea Subject: Option to expand the unhidden fields in an open gallery or Kanban card  When a gallery or kanban view is shared, the visible fields in an open card are the same as when the card is in the gallery view. This results in cards being lengthy and having extensive information even when the user wants to present a brief view.To address this issue, I propose adding an option to display selected fields only when the card is opened, which are hidden on the card. This way, cards can be kept compact and brief, allowing the user to see more cards with less scrolling. They can then expand the number of visible fields when opening the card.This can be accomplished by providing three options for gallery views: Unhidden on Card, Unhidden on Open Card, and Hidden.

What is the proposed idea/solution?We're able to do this on automation. For example, Email is the field, and we'll click the blue + icon on Automation settings to allow the automation to fill the field with dynamic data. Well, this suggestion would like to use that feature but on the Interface's Connected Filter Element, allowing users to auto-populate the filter, then immediately show filtered records via Grid/Kanban/etc. depending on what record data (where the filter is placed) is connected.To put things simply, if I have an Interface with Record viewer as the template. Then, I have multiple records with email addresses. On the record viewer, we have a Grid from other tables and a Connected Filter Element. Right now, we use the element as "Email address is..." and manually copy-paste the email there to show records on the Grid. It's a few steps more troublesome but would be click-less if it's already auto-populated depending on dynamic data.How does this solve the user problems?Bett

On most visualization/charting software, displaying a value offers many more options, including to include the counts of any 'groupings' .  I have attached an example of what I mean.  Charts need more display options in general (e.g. on pie chart, show count and % together as label, etc.) which are common in charing on excel or in other BI programs (e.g. Tablau). 

Right now, Airtable's permissions are not customizable enough for a diverse work environment. I believe it would be beneficial to allow people to choose what permissions are allowed for specific users. For example: I could choose to give someone the ability to add records, but not delete them. 

Please make it possible to change the calendar records displayed so we can pick which field to display instead of only primary field.Thanks!

Hi, can I get some clarity on whether kanban will ever be available on platforms. It’s been some time now. The need is particularly great on iPad. Trello has it on phone and tablet and it works just great.

For users with multiple bases or who have had bases shared with them, Home screens are a disorderly mess with no real options to organize content. Airtable, please take immediate measures to offer users basic organizational methods, such as:1) ADD FOLDERS to organize bases2) Option to Sort Alphabetically3) Date-based sort options4) Add manual drag-and-drop organization3) for shared bases, offer the option to have the base 'unshared' or just deleted from the Home Screen (there not being an option to get rid of these really litters the home screen)

It is often required to have more than one type of filters for a view, like (foo AND bar) OR thud. As an alternative, it can also be solved by chaining views like VIEW foobar OR thud.
