How cool would it be if you could have conditional formatting / colour in Blocks. For example, the summary block could show a value that changes colour as it increases:

I’m using Airtable to plan some PPC campaigns. I have a formula concatenating a bunch of different keyword sets, which reference the product name from an earlier field in the record. Google AdWords prefers to have each keyword set on a new line. Is there any way I can produce a line break in the formula output so that each can be pasted straight in?

When exporting CSV with currency fields with the Euro sign, there is “€” string replacing the € char. Expected behavior : € should be in the CSV export just like in Airtable. Ideal behavior : we should be able to remove the formatting while exporting in CSV. to be able to manipulate the currency values

We love the new blocks features - particularly the Twilio Block. We are running multiple large events and are moving away from event software provides as they are expensive and unreliable. With the new Twilio block we can almost run the entire event logistics from Airtable! However, I have one feature request that would make this feature complete: Scheduling. As far as I know, one can atm only send real time texts through this block. Scheduling would take this to a new a whole new level. Please consider adding this!

My team and I would love to work asynchronously on one airtable but when we leave each other comments on records the number stays there forever so we have no way of keeping track of what still needs to be discussed (you can erase your comments but not others and that way you erased the convo!). I’d like a way to get rid of the number shown on the record please.

Some APIs such as AWS allow you to have two working API keys at the same time so that you can rotate in the new one and rotate out the old one without requiring any downtime of your application. I think being able to lookup within a lookup of a linked field would be quite useful. For example, I have three tables: “Projects”, “Shipments”, and “Clients”. There can be multiple projects per client, and there can multiple shipments per project. I want to display the Client contact information on the “Shipments” table, but as the client name auto-populates using a lookup field, which pulls the name from a linked field on the “Projects” table, I cannot look within this lookup of a linked field. I can only get the desired result if I re-enter the Client data on the “Shipments” table via a linked field directly to the “Client” table, which is not only tedious but leaves room for error. If anyone knows of a better way to do this, please let me know. If anyone from Airtable can add this functionality, it would also be great.

Billing is very ambiguous and confusing. In the admin portal we cannot see who is billable and who is not. It needs to be more clear who is a free user and who is a paid user. In the user list there should be a column showing this. Also, billing details/reports are not available in the admin portal. They need to be available for admins.

Currently, when you delete a field, it breaks any formulas that referred to that field. When the user views the broken formula, the field name is replaced by a non-human-readable string. Thanks to the scripting API, we can now see that the non-human-readable string in the broken formula is a concatenation of a literal string and the field id of the deleted field "column_value_" & fieldIdOfDeletedField I suggest that the string also concatenate the name of the deleted field "column_value_" & fieldIdOfDeletedField & "_" & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT(fieldNameOfDeletedField) This would make fixing broken formulas much easier because the user could see what the original formula was. The scripting API shows that the field definition for a formula field stores an array of referencedFieldIds. Could that array also somehow store referencedFieldNames? After all, the field

Hello, I love Airtable and can’t be thankful enough for the amazing product. However, I would be happy if some of the things were implemented. It feels very unorganized when you have multiple views. First, I think separator or some sort of grouping would make it much cleaner and easier to understand. Secondly, I think “Add a view” section is too big. It feels like it’s aimed for new users but it always draws me to create a new view even if I don’t need one. Most of the time we are interacting with pre-existing views rather than creating a new view. So, I don’t think it should be getting that much focus. Instead, the focus should be on pre-existing views. Something like this can be done as shown in the attached image. This also gives extra room for additional views. The options pops up when we click “Add a new view” button. The new users should easily get hang of it within the few minutes of using airtable. Third, it’s a minor thing but ma

Often I create a View of a Table that I end up using on a Block - usually a Chart. If I later forget why I made the view and delete it, I will have broken a Chart in a Dashboard somewhere and have no idea about it. It would be really helpful either to indicate that a View is used somewhere in a Block, or simply to warn me when I delete it.

Hi folks, Being able to measure duration between tasks seems to be a fairly common business requirement. So far we have DATETIME_DIFF which is great because it lets you specify the unit of measurement (day, hour, minute etc). However it will also include weekend days. The WORKDAY_DIFF is great as it excludes weekends but unfortunately it only has one unit - day. So my feature request - either add ‘unit’ as an option to WORKDAY_DIFF or create a new function called WORKTIME_DIFF. Thanks,Neil

We’d like entire rows to be highlighted in a given color based on the color of a single-select choice in a field/column that has been designated the “row color” field.

Add support for the Google Calendar API which allows a bi-directional communication between the Calendar and the client. Events can be changed in the Google Calendar and this is instantly reflected in the client eg. Airtable. But the most important thing: the refreshing over iCal feeds with Google is very slow, sometimes people don’t see their update in days. Because the Google Calendar is the most used/important calendar support of the API would make much sense.

Hi, having lots of issues where Editors are continuously hiding or re-arranging fields on a shared grid view. It would be great if user permissions to hide and remove fields was limited to Creators. Also +1 for more granular user permissions in general. Thanks!

Problem Get enough people in a base and the public name space for views gets cluttered pretty quickly. Cluttered views means confused or inefficient users. It’s also a big issue when using Airtable features that rely on whatever public view is at the top of the view list (ex. linked record modals). Potential Solutions Set all views to “personal” by default Add view organization tools (ex. grouping/folders) Allow owners to set others’ public views to ‘personal’

I would like to mark the time of year that something happens in the natural world so that it would appear on a calendar, every year. In Google Calendar, this is just a date field that is marked as “every year” but it could also just be a date field with no year.Another thing that would be handy for scientific applications would be the availability of the Julian Date as a date field. (I guess I can do that as a simple formula calculation though.)Thanks,

It would be amazing if Airtable had the ability for records to AUTOMATICALLY link to records in other tables, once Airtable knows what “match criteria” we’re looking for. Right now, Airtable requires us to manually link every single record by hand.

I’d like to be able to filter for date fields when it is/is not empty.That option doesn’t currently exist in my filter drop-downs.

Hi,I have been working on creating a Marketing Calendar with Month, and a generic type as the columns and rows respectively using the ‘Matrix Block’ for my current project. However, I would also like to be able to print the block, but currently there is no option to print. I’ve worked around this by printing the webpage as a PDF and resizing to fit within a page, but a more natural way of doing this would be helpful.Thank you.

Like many others i found Airtable a very fancy way to create my own movie database solution, but since i have many items for adding to table i was think about some kind of automation. i tried zapier but that was not what i’m looking for. my idea exactly is like the process of adding a movie to imdb lists, by typing some first character of movie title a drop-down list shows then by clicking the item information automatically implements. in my opinion the best way is block that connect whit omdb API and fill the table filed. so what do you think? is there a better way for this goal?

So I am using airtable to track, document and collaborate around our new product development process. Included in the work flow are rfq tables for our vendors to quote the manufacture our new products. Currently I am sharing views to each vendor so they can download a csv of the rfq along with art files, drawings, CAD files etc… They will then return quotes which we must enter back into the data base. I really really really wish I could share a limited editable view with each vendor so they could enter their quotes directly into the base!! I have experimented with creating separate free bases for each vendor to enter the data however it is still time consuming and confusing (errors) to copy and paste data back and forth between bases. I know I may be asking for a fundamental shift in the structure of work teams and price structure but I figure I would shoot for the moon with my first post…

Currently, I have to filter my to-do list by date on mobile. Then on the rare occurrence, I do view my to-do list on the calendar format on the desktop of the primary field is the date it’s pretty useless :frowning: What would be ideal would be to have the calendar view available on mobile. That way I’d be able to view my to-do list in the same format whether I’m on mobile or desktop. Thanks.
