Form to edit data

At the moment the form only allows input of new data. Can we have a form for editing existing records? At the moment we can only edit in the table meaning I can’t present the records the way I want. Can’t even hide columns on mobile, meaning the users are free to wreak havoc on the existing data :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Webhooks for Records

Webhooks for records would be really useful. I’m heavily caching Airtable data on my own server via the API, and if Airtable could notify my server when a record is updated, created, or destroyed, that would help me invalidate the cached data and re-request it. Ultimately that would mean less calls from my server to the Airtable API, which I imagine would please Airtable. Are webhooks on the roadmap at all?

Add an option to keep all records when using the interface search feature

The issue is that in interfaces, the search feature hides rows of data that do not contain the keyword you are searching for in a grid view. This limits your ability to search and compare all rows of data.  This feature is possible when you use the search function in a data table but not in an interface.

Autofill (default value) a linked record based on current user's email address in Interfaces

While it's possible to autofill a "User" field type using the "Current User" that's logged into an Interface, it is not possible to auto-link a Linked Record using the currently logged in user. Use case: We have a custom table of our users that contains a number of fields including the user's email address. We would like to have the option to autofill (set the default value) of a linked record to the current user that's creating a new record in an Interface form. Currently the user has to select themselves out of the list and this adds an extra step to creating a new record and introduces opportunity for data entry errors (e.g. mistakenly selecting a similarly named user)Example 1: Shows the properties of a User field where "Current user" is selected as the Default ValueExample 2: Shows the properties of a Linked Record where there is no option to use the Current User as a default value to auto select the correct linked record.

Option to go back to workspace from base

What is the proposed idea/solution?Feedback from a UX perspective: It would be really helpful if there was a menu item on each base that takes the user to the base’s workspace. How does is solve the user problems?It would save me time from going back home and scrolling through all of my workspaces to get to another base within the same workspaceHow was this validated?Experience; it would help all users...

Have Duration include an option for timecode

What is the proposed idea/solution?For film production, we need the ability to sum durations that are 24 frames per second. HOURS:MINUTES:SECONDS:FRAMESWith the current 00:00:00 format, it does not calculate accurately.  ...How does is solve the user problems?With the current duration formatting we can come close, but not be exact when summing TRT from multiple fields. Formatting tools for forms

It would be very useful to have some basic formatting tools for the forms. Things like horizontal dividers, section titles and control over spacing and grouping of fields. More advanced things would be even better :slightly_smiling_face: - like tabs, accordion sections, custom fonts (Google, Typekit).

Ability to disable interim pop-up when creating record via Interface element.

Within an interface, when creating a new record via an element - such as Calendar, Gallery or Kanban, there's a pop-up that greets the user that often isn't actually desirable, and if I'm honest, can be a very real pain.Shown below is the pop-up in question, in my example, it's showing a formulated field - and I have no interest in detailing the records other fields from within this pop-up.I can't tell you how frustrating it is (especially for a record-creation intensive workflow) to constantly dismiss this pop-up that seems hard-coded into these elements - especially for records that contain formulated primary fields - this pop-up is extremely undesirable and serves no purpose.It should also be noted that we don't necessarily want to be giving an option to the user to "Open in base" either, assuming the pop-up is to remain enabled.Interestingly, not all elements "Create Record" action/button show this prompt, and in my case I really really really wanted to use the Gallery Element, but

Hire a Sales Team to respond to requests for information

What is the proposed idea/solution?Perhaps you can adequately staff your sales team? Just a thought.How does is solve the user problems?This will enable users to purchase your highest-price (and presumably most profitable) product.How was this validated?I am a user wishing to upgrade to enterprise and spend several hundred thousand dollars of my budget on Airtable, however I have not been able to get in contact with anyone who can help me do this despite submitting your "Contact Sales" form many times.Who is the target audience?Customers willing to pay for your product.

Find Records with Grouped Conditions and/or Fuzzy Searching

What is the proposed idea/solution?I would like the ability to have conditional grouping when putting together a Find Records action in the automations so I can make more sophisticated look-up of records (i.e., like creating my own view).   Also I would like the ability to also "fuzzy match" records in order to find items that might be similar to the user entry.How does is solve the user problems?When using AirTable as a client check in desk, sometimes how they type in their names (whether they use an informal spelling, or have a hyphenated last name or not), it would be good if Find Records could be programmed to look up similar matches of names.Also if Find Records can be conditionally set up, it would avoid situations where it surpasses the 100 record limit.How was this validated?For the conditional grouping, this would work the same way as a personal or regular new view with filter conditions.For Fuzzy records or not, I would suggest lifting coding from the DeDupe Ex

Gantt/Timeline Scale Flexibility

What is the proposed idea/solution?Either one year or..... five years?? Please give us at least a 3-year view, or even better a simple zoom in/out scroller so that we can adjust to the relevant time. Especially for interfaces, but even just trying to keep a simple view to present entire project to clients.

Change colors on linked records

I can’t seem to figure this out. Normally on “multiple select” or “Single select” options, changing colors is fairly easy however with linked tables, the colors are always blue. Cannot find any options to change it I found this support thread here, but it wasn’t answered either Show Link to record/table list as colored? Ask the community When using Link to another record/Link to table option, is it possible to show the list as colored similar to how the options look in the Multiple select option? is this a supported feature? Accent Colored Banners or pages for Expanded Records in Interface

Conditionally Shown Fields in Interfaces, Similar to Forms

Just as @Sean_Murphy1 asked here, the ability to have conditional data in interfaces. Sean's Example: if you’re tracking network outages you might use one field to specify that the cause is a power outage, in which case you would want other fields to appear that let you specify when the power outage started and ended (so you can track UPS runtime when the power goes out, and site recovery time when it comes back.)My example: the attached has an "answer type" field but I still have to have all available fields (currency, text, number, etc) for the view to work with all the data types. If I could add conditions to fields (IF Answer Type CONTAINS Text, show Text Answer), only the needed fields would show and it make for a much cleaner user experience.

Submitting Forms

What is the proposed idea/solution?When a user is completing a form there should be a restriction added that if the end date is before the start date it can't be submitted.How does is solve the user problems?It will ensure that those filling out the form are inputting the correct information. I myself have done so on forms I have previously filled out. Who is the target audience?Everyone who is looking to create forms for any purpose. Be it for personal or business.

Sort select or multiselect field values descending would SOLVE the blank value sorting issue

Problem: Sorting a select field puts blanks at the top.  Often, we want blanks to sort at bottom.Suggested Solution: Sort the select field in descending order in the view.  That puts blanks at bottom.  However, then your select values are in reverse order.  If you could sort the select field options (in the field) in descending order then all would be good in the world:  blanks would be at the bottom and options would be at the top sorted in ascending order.Implementation: Best part, implementation is super easy.  Currently you can only sort options in a select field in ascending order.  Just enable clicking on the sort icon to toggle between ascending and descending sort of options in select/multi-select fields.

Suggestion: Sorting empties to bottom

May I suggest a very helpful, super simple to implement, feature?Problem: Sorting (ascending order) a single select that has empty values puts all the empties up front.Work around: Reverse the single select options order (put 1st at bottom), but this is a pain.Suggestion: You already have “Alphabetize” in Single or Multi Select, which sorts A-Z. Please enable a 2nd click to then sort Z-A. Voila! Now sort my view Descending and my empties will be at the bottom and my single selects will sort in the view correctly.A better, more intuitive solution might be to provide a switch in Sort dialog: “Sort empties at top/bottom”.

More filter date options

What is the proposed idea/solution?...There need to be more date filtering options like this month, next month, this week and next week. The only options right now are based on today but I don't want to see 1 month from today (i.e. today - Nov 16), I want to see only records between Nov 1 and Nov 30.Ideally I want to see what tasks are due within next month and within next week so I can plan ahead in the current week/month. But that is not an option currently.How does is solve the user problems?...How was this validated?...Who is the target audience?...
