I love the new views bar.I help a lot of folks with Airtable and this bar has made a big difference to them understanding their workflow and the system.I had no idea people were so upset by it, but know that it’s elegant, beautiful and helpful for NEW users.

Windows Tablet Windows 10 scroll bars not working

I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 tablet running Windows 10, I tried airtable on it and the scroll bars don’t work, can this be fixed ir is there a setting I need to tweak, be very very nice to have this working, Regards Andrew

Product Suggestion: Text formatting in Page Designer

I have a feature request - to be able to have variable weight of font within a text box. This would allow me to have something likeFirst Name: {First Name}Within the block. I use a mixture of static text and field variables and I would like to differentiate so the text flows nicely on the page and not have to move multiple pieces of information to make a page flow properly.Thanks!

Product Suggestion: Tab beyond the final field to wrap back to beginning of row

When doing a lot of data entry in grid view, we often want to create another new record as soon as we’re done typing in all the field information for our current record.So the challenge is to quickly get back to the very first field again for our new record that we’re about to create. And ideally, without our hands ever leaving the keyboard.Currently, we have to hit COMMAND + LEFT ARROW on our keyboards to jump us all the way back to the first field again.This actually isn’t terrible, but it’s kind of unintuitive & a little bit of extra work for users to remember the keyboard shortcut and then execute on it.Ideally, once we’re in the very last field for a record, we would simply hit the TAB key one more time on our keyboard to cycle back around to the first field again. Then, we’re immediately ready to create our new record (by hitting shift-return), and we can immediately start typing in the first field!But currently, when we get to the last field, we can’t tab beyond the last fie

Please give us a text formatting option for columns

It would be great if AirTable allowed us to set the text formatting for a column to - let’s say UPPER CASE when we configure the column. So all entries made in that column would automatically be turned into UPPER CASE. That would be similar to the phone numer formatting, only I’d like to be able to have options in the configuration window - let’s say set it to UPPER CASE, TITLE CASE or FREE FORM. This would ensure formatting consistency among collaborators. I personally find Upper Case Entries easier to read - especially for the Name column. We can’t always count on other people to be consistent when it comes to these things. Please keep up the excellent work! AirTable is amazing! And it’s getting better and better.

Product Suggestion: Please fix ARRAY functions

Sadly, the ARRAY functions don’t work in the way that people are expecting them to work in Airtable.And that leaves us with unresolvable problems in Airtable.The ARRAY functions work under a very limited set of circumstances, but it says right on the formula field reference page that they are supposed to work with lookup fields, rollup fields, and linked fields as an input.This just isn’t true, as you can see from this thread here.ARRAYJOIN, ARRAYFLATTEN, ARRAYCOMPACT, and ARRAYUNIQUE simply do not work under many common scenarios — even when feeding them the “approved inputs” of lookup fields or rollup fields.The ARRAY functions seem to only work when you have one input only, but not multiple inputs — even though the examples on the formula field reference page all show multiple inputs.For example, this problem remains unresolved, because the ARRAY functions don’t work as documented.Airtable Team: Please revisit these ARRAY functions and make them work under all circumstances.(And ins

"Kanban Order" as a read-only field in Grid View that can be sorted by

I want to be able to use the (amazing) Kanban view to prioritize tasks, and share those task priorities with people. The filter and share view features, which already exist, are so clutch for this.It’s almost exactly what I want already! I want to be able to see the order that I put Kanban entries in when looking at the Grid view.

File Picker frustration

The way display Chine File/Folder Name of the File Picker is frustration. It converts all Chinese characters to Mandarin pronunciation. Definitely slow down productivity. Why designing the file picker in this way and not showing the Chinese characters directly? I haven’t seen any other app doing this way!

Sharing a Dashboard

I’m creating a dashboard of different chart blocks that I want to be able to share with others in my organization. I know there’s a beta feature for sharing an individual block (in this case, one chart), but if I want to share a dashboard (a set of charts) with someone, is there a way to do that? This feels like an important feature to be able to use and I’m not sure how to do it or if it’s possible. Thanks!

Recurring Tasks with Block

It shouldn’t be difficult to create recurring records (tasks) for Airtable. I know using Zapier isn’t rocket science but there should be an easier way.Please create a block that allows management of recurring tasks.Since many people use Airtable for their project/task manager there would be a huge advantage for the community.There are probably dozens of things Airtable users could use this block for but at the top of the listHope this gains traction.

Combining AND and OR filters Feature Request

Feature request - Other applications allow combining AND and OR filters as a basic feature. If we have to create a formula in a particular order, why can’t you give us the ability to combine filters in a particular order. This is a basic need to return accurate results.

Formula field formatting options and errors output

Currently if a formula field will return only a date or a number, Airtable will have formatting options for that formula field. However, if the formula will return a string or might return a string, or might return anything other than a date/number, there are no formatting options.Sometimes I write a formula so that it will usually output a date or number, but will return a string if an error condition is met. For example, a formula might calculate the number of days between two dates (a number) but output a string if the end date is before the begin date.This product suggestion has multiple parts to deal with these situations:Allow formulas to output errors which are distinct from the calculated value. For example, if a formula calculates a negative number, but negative numbers are not allowed from a business logic point of view, have the formula report an error that would be recognized as an error, not just another value. This would be similar to the #ERROR message, but could include

Is there a Tree View?

When table define linked itself, it should be organized like a tree. For instance, Place table: Fields: name, upper China, Shanghai, China Pudong, Shanghai Beijing, China Tree View is very user friendly when users want to choose a place. Is there a Tree View?

Version as a base feature! (Similar to snapshot but more powerful)

We use airtable bases per client and naturally as all software or businesses evolve the system (in this case the most current client’s base is now more advanced or effective than the ones before it) which means we then need to go back and update all previous bases to match the same design/flow as the most up to date base.What I’m proposing is two-fold (perhaps it’s even a Block)That you can assign version milestones that take a snapshot of what your current base looks like and then as you edit the base, similar to how github works it can keep up with the changes and even notate them, similar to how your dynamic API directory updates (which is absolutely incredible, btw 🙂 )For example:This base will be assigned the ‘template’ of CRMAs soon as I assign it with that template, it now will be considered CRM v1.0As soon as I begin marking up edits that are taking place within the restructuring or re-labeling of that base.– Perhaps, I can open up a block that shows me a ‘version histo

Regex and Share between bases

Having left Airtable a while ago I thought I would check back in to see if they had implemented these two features yet? Sharing between bases has been requested from long before I even knew about Airtable, I think the dinosaurs were around when that first got requested, any news? Will it happen? Do they still ignore requests? Another request was for using regex in formulas, any news on this?

Grouping (like Grid) in Kanban View

This would solve many issues with ‘New’ records disappearing in Kanban Views (because they don’t meet a Filter requirement).Would also make Airtable a fierce task management tool (finally!)

Messaging feature needs improvement!

The discussion feature with Airtable is seriously lacking in many ways. If this experience could be improved to align with other organization apps, this would help us as an agency drive more people to use the system. Here is what is wrong with the chat feature:Needs to be its own pop-up. Too confusing tucked away to the side.Chat width is too small. Very hard to read long messagesNo spell check ability - Many spelling errors when you are in a hurry, looks bad to the clientNo method to bold or style text.Please, please, please can this be upgraded???

Persist data based on conditions (new field type)

I’d like to be able to create fields that cache data the moment its condition is met. The cached data should be continuously displayed until additional, optional conditions are met. For example, another user was trying to cache dates when a checkbox was toggled. Could they just use a ‘date modified’ field? Sure - but that’s fairly limiting. What if users want to log a timestamp when a given single select is selected? Allow default values for field-types, AND allow the value in each record to be edited.Subsequent changes to the value of the default should either:A) Not be possible, to avoid data-overwriting decisions. URL--Text to Display Feature

I think it would be nice to have the option to hyperlink with different text showing, like any basic HTML hyperlinking. Like I can even do in this forum if I needed to. Visually, having the url just there isn’t appealing.

Rearrange 'Multiple Select' Items

There should be a simple way to rearrange Multiple Select Items for a record. Currently, it only seems to be possible if you have 4 or more items, as you can then click “…see more” and then rearrange them by dragging them. But if you have less than 4 items, it doesn’t seem to be possible to drag them around. This feature would be good, because the order the Items are listed is in the order of which they were created, which many times can be arbitrary. Sorting all records by a Multiple Select field for instance, does not rearrange all items following the first (primary one) in a logical order.
