I have a “deadline date” and and we have either a 3 months or 6 months, our two different project time lines we use. So when I set the field to 3 months it will take the project start date, add 3 months and the if the project goes over 90 days, to pop up into my past due view. I want when the deadline date has been exceeded based upon the current actual date for it to jump over to my past due view. For example, I had a project start on Dec.24th and because today is March 24th, if the project is not completed today, tomorrow that project would show up on my past due view report. We are currently testing the Airtable solution to upgrade our project management. We are mainly involved in the manufacturing of wood frame houses. For the moment, it seems that Airtable can be suitable to evolve our current Trello. On the other hand, the “user” visualization options are quite limited. Indeed, before, we had checklists easily usable by the workers. Also, we could easily access the checklists through an application. The Airtable android application does not allow a very fluid visualization of the data and a use in the form of checklist. Do you have a proposal to change this? I’m testing Softr but I’m not sure it’s the right way. Thanks for your attention!

Hello, does anyone have a script that can be used to copy one fields data into another? I need to be able to input a search query using something like the updateRecordAsync() code to update one field with another’s data. The issue is, that I need it to rely on a user input, so I want to be able to choose the preset of quantity by having a await input.textAsync(). I would then define the quantity options in different fields, and the input would be that fields name. It would then copy the chosen fields data into the main field. It must also include a way to scan for a specific record to be the one to be updated. I have code written for this already, but it would need integrated into a script for it. This is what I have so far. It lets me scan my product inventory table for specific products, and copy those products all into a my invoice transaction table all under one specific record number. Hello, I am sending an email out using SendGrid. I have a filed that is a link of multiple linked records. It strings them all together with commas between, which is really exhausting to look at, i.e.: “Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5” I would like for it to be formatted as: Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Any ideas? I tried turning on HTML in the SendGrid app, and used a REGEX_REPLACE formula to replace the commas with <br>, but that didn’t work. Thanks! Tom

I have a table with student information like name, class year, email, etc. I would like to create a form to ask them what their summer job or plans are. Is there a way to create the form so that the summer job question populates to the correct student’s record? I hope that makes sense.

And If there is Job Opportunities for Tech Evangelist ? What I underestand: There is a lot of Freelance. There is many startup using Airtable as a Backend. I’m asking this because I love AirTable (and NodeRed) for years and so may be if I could “work” on these topic it could be interesting. The drawback is AirTable is very easy to use and to understand. It’s not a pain like fake SaaS like Salesforce or SAP that requires a lot of integration.

Hello! Is it possible to make different tables in one tab? So that these tables do not duplicate the same information? For example, I created a tab - called it “companies”. Now I need to divide these projects into categories and make a new table for each category to make a separate list, for example: new table - technology companies new table - commodity companies new table - financial companies But it’s important that these tables are on the same tab - don’t create new tabs for new tables.

I have seen various questions like this, but no good solutions. I am parsing text from an email into airtable and using the DATETIME_PARSE() function to extract it. I have tried many formula variations, but AirTable refuses to see the parsed time as the correct time for MY timezone. This is an issue because my next step is to turn this into a google calendar event via zapier. The best solution I can see is to add the time difference, however this is very complicated with daylight savings as I am booking events inside and outside of DST while being inside and outside of DST. The only way I can see to do it is to have a formula that adds a different amount to the time based on the event date and when DST is for that year, which will require yearly maintenance but I literally cannot find a better way. Any help is appreciated.

I am trying to edit the list of options in my single select list. When I open the editing portion of the field the space where I normally see the list of options (including “add an option”) has become so small that I cannot read any of the options that are there, and the “add an option” button is not visible at all. I am working on a MacBook Pro if that makes any difference. It feels like I just need to adjust the size of the window, but I can’t see any way to do so. This has been going on for two days. Any help would be appreciated.

I am new to airtable and trying to determine if this is the proper tool to create a product configurator for our website. I was wondering if anyone has created a product configurator before with airtable and can recommend a starting point or share a template they may have? We are not going to include prices which should make this easier. I am just trying to get an understanding of where to start. Our product is electric heaters so we would select a type (air heater) then Volts, watts, termination, fittings etc. After they select all the options we would want a quote created and sent to us in order to view it and quote them a price. Any help or pointing in the correct direction would be much appreciated!

I’d like to collect a sensitive ID number from my partners that I need for govt. reporting. I’d like to do this with a form view. (It’s not feasible to train partners to use 3rd party apps for encryption etc.) Some things I’m considering to increase security: The table is in a special base with limited access. The table includes 2 fields only, a customer number + the sensitive data field (no other identifying data is held in the same table/base) Once submitted, I’ll store the data in a document offline somewhere and delete the record. Are there other security concerns, features or user experience issues that I should consider? Thanks for any help!

I have three tables. People, Companies and a junction table. The junction table shows the relationship between a person and a company. Sometimes, a person is connected to several companies. I’d like to show that relationship. For example, This is People table This is Companies table Now this is the junction table that basically lists the companies’ employees… We can see companies are related/connected through people here. For example Joey works for both Scott Co and Keychron, Michael works for both ITC LLC and Keychron. What I’d like to do is to show how “Scott co” and “Keychron” has a relation because Joey works in both.

Hi community! I’m trying to learn airtable: am not a total newbie, but still struggle with formulas. I need a formula (I think) to add up billable hours. How do I tell airtable to ONLY add up hours from any given month? The contractor enters the billable time in a number field and the date on which the hours were worked in a date field.

I’ve built an app that allows users in my base to select a record in a certain table. I’m using GlobalConfig to store the ID of that record. However, when I first publish the app to my base I get an error because the GlobalConfig does not yet have an ID stored. So when do useRecordById, I get an error like this: “getRecordById expects a string” because there is no record ID stored in GlobalConfig, since a user has not yet selected one. When I tried putting useRecordById inside a conditional, I get an error because you can’t put hooks inside a conditional. What is the best way to get around this? Thanks!

I have a group of records called “Round 1 Tasks”, when these Tasks are marked as complete I would like to automatically hide those and display “Round 2 Tasks” and so on. I know I can do this via the scripting functionality but curious if anyone has ideas on how to implement this via filtered views and/or formulas. Thanks

Hi all, Ive been using the map app lately and like it a lot. I am curious if it is possible to extend the functionality of maps slightly with two changes: Is it possible to have the map when in a side-by-side view somehow identify the pin when a record or multiple records are selected? Maybe make them bigger, put a halo around them, etc? Is it possible to add small labels on the map so you can see the name of each record without clicking on the records one by one? Or some similar solution? Thanks for any help!
