We have a database in MSSQL … we would like to connect it to Airtable and retrieve the data in Airtable. MSSQL (source): Airtable (destination) What solution is the best, most stable,easy to use, affordable? We would like to refresh the data e.g. at least twice a day.

Hi community! I’m trying to learn airtable: am not a total newbie, but still struggle with formulas. I need a formula (I think) to add up billable hours. How do I tell airtable to ONLY add up hours from any given month? The contractor enters the billable time in a number field and the date on which the hours were worked in a date field.

I’ve built an app that allows users in my base to select a record in a certain table. I’m using GlobalConfig to store the ID of that record. However, when I first publish the app to my base I get an error because the GlobalConfig does not yet have an ID stored. So when do useRecordById, I get an error like this: “getRecordById expects a string” because there is no record ID stored in GlobalConfig, since a user has not yet selected one. When I tried putting useRecordById inside a conditional, I get an error because you can’t put hooks inside a conditional. What is the best way to get around this? Thanks!

I have a group of records called “Round 1 Tasks”, when these Tasks are marked as complete I would like to automatically hide those and display “Round 2 Tasks” and so on. I know I can do this via the scripting functionality but curious if anyone has ideas on how to implement this via filtered views and/or formulas. Thanks

Happy Sunday, everyone :slightly_smiling_face: Apologies in advance for not knowing all the correct terms when referring to objects, arrays, items etc. I was hoping someone might have either some direct support or links to relevant resources for how to extract specific pieces of data from within an array that is returned via the Data Fetcher app in Airtable. Data Fetcher has the ability to write formulas to transform fields before bringing into airtable. Hi all, Ive been using the map app lately and like it a lot. I am curious if it is possible to extend the functionality of maps slightly with two changes: Is it possible to have the map when in a side-by-side view somehow identify the pin when a record or multiple records are selected? Maybe make them bigger, put a halo around them, etc? Is it possible to add small labels on the map so you can see the name of each record without clicking on the records one by one? So I’m in the legal field and I’m trying to track from different judges a percentage of damage that is associated to a specific body part. The goal is to be able to predict what % a judge gives on average for any given body part. The trouble I’m running into is figuring out the best way to connect a % to each body part. I currently have one Multiple Select Column for body parts, but I really need those body parts to have some way to be attached to a %. (I was currently just putting it down in a long text field, but that doesn’t allow me to track what I want to track). Any advice is greatly appreciated.

:wave: Hey there! I have a Jotform that is populating an Airtable base via the integration in Jotforms App Directiory. Specifically this one But there are two fields that are not loading properly: Field 1: Jotform Field: Yes/No question. I am assuming it evaluated as a boolean expression - aka a checkbox. Airtable Field: Trying to map the yes/no question onto a checkbox I believe this is the right route because I have another Yes/No question that I mapped on to a boolean checkbox and its working just fine! Field 2 Jotform field: Long-text with enabled rich text formatting Airtable field: long-text This is mapped correctly on Jotforms side - but for some reason not a single response is coming through??? Any ideas or help? I’d really appreciate it!

It’s getting pretty insane with these new features being rolled out long enough to be excited about them then rolling them back. About to leave the platform and stop pushing it to clients over the BS Games. Really hope we get that great formula editor back some time soon. @Jordan_Scott1

I have a google sheet filed in my root google drive. I simply want to connect to this with Airtable and synch. I am using the same log on credentials for Airtable and Google Drive. The google sheet is publically shared. I can select it to import from the ‘Quick Import’ menu and the import works fine. But when I select the same file (any file) through the ‘Synch data from’ menu I see the files but they are greyed out and I cannot connect to any. I have tried through 3 different sets of Google Credentials and get the same result. What am I missing? See the images.

Hi all, I have the last modified showing up as “Unknown” in a synced table and not sure what is causing this. Is this possibly the record coming from the other base not showing the creator, until someone updates possibly? Cheers

I have a field that is in the first position and I wish to move it so it is in the 5th position from the left. Airtable is not letting move it as it may be a key. Is it possible to do this?

Hi Guys! I have a record in airtable with 1 image and another record with 3 images: I have a Zap(Zapier) that allows me to send a 1 unique image to a Basecamp To-Do as follows (for example to the field 2): And I get the desired result. But, in the case of the field 2, when I have several images, I can’t visualize them. So I want to know how I should modify the HTML code that I am using in the Description to be able to display the images correctly when there are several. Anyone know any way to do this? Thank you!

Hi Airtable community! I’m new here and am building out a budget table for work. I’m trying to create an automation that updates an entry to say a certain month in a field when the date in the field next to it is within that month. For example, if money was spent on a “photographer” on 1/15/22, we will enter the exact date in one field (with a date field type) and then I want the field next to it to automatically change to “January” (with a multiple select field type). Can someone help me figure out how to automate this?

Hello there, I’m looking for a bit of feedback on sorting rows / row order in timeline view. Right now my workaround for ensuring that I have the proper sorting is to append numbering to the ‘name’ data as shown in the attached picture. The data is grouped by name. So far, this works OK as it allows me to manually sort so that the swimlanes with data extending furthest forward in time are towards the bottom of the view. If there’s a better way to do this, I’d be glad to hear it. I did experiment with splitting out the ‘ranking’ data into its own column and grouping by this column, which does provide a similar view, except with a bit more white space on screen due to the grouping. Hi, I’ve got a bit of a weird one that I am not entirely sure if it’s an issue of my database design or can be solved another way. I have two bases for a webstore, one which holds high level information (items for sale, vendors, master order records) and the other base has individual records for each unique item in each master order record. Excuse the awful drawing and writing, but the below diagram illustrates how I’ve structured things so far. Black lines with two arrows show linked fields. One arrow shows synced tables, and the blue line shows what I want to achieve. The end result I am aiming for is to be able to report on sales associated with each vendor (i.e. Vendor A has sold $500 of items this month). The problem I have is what seems like it would be the logical link of pulling the vendor detail in via the item doesn’t allow me to then total up based on the Vendor anywhere. I could add in a second link field, to directly connect line items and vendors, but then I’d need to im

I’m experiencing a strange issue when I use a date in a formula (yes, I’m using timezones). If I include the time field in the date, then it displays correctly in the formula, but if I do not include time, then the formula displays the date minus 1. I do not want time because this is an invoice date. Halp.

We have switched our airtable to a pro plan and would like to use it instead of the 14-day free pro trial because it has scripting in automation and we need it urgently. Please Help
