Base record that contains customer email who i wish to send to inform or request to collect information using series of templates. Could be follow up of a lead or requesting further information to processing their enquiry. Something like adding an email button but how do i connect this up

Hi I have created an automation where by changing the status of a record it will create a new record on a new table. In this instance it’s a record in a dealflow and then by changing the status is will then create an entry in a task flow table. When I then update the status in the task flow table it doesn’t update the status in the original dealflow table, how can I make this happen? What I ultimately would like to happen is that my task flow table will only display entries that have a certain status and that this status is updated in all other tables this entry is shown on Thank you

Hi, is it possible to limit a table such that a new entry can ONLY be created through a form and NOT through gird view or any of the other views? The problem i’m trying to solve is to make sure that all the relevant data is entered. this can be done with a form but people can create an entry in grid view and not fill out every important field. thanks Kind regards

Hi, In my main table I have field “id” and “sorting Group”. Second table with fixing problems and “sorting group”. that has views according to the “sorting Group” field. I want to add a field in the main table that will have Allow linking to multiple records & Limit record selection to a view BUT will take each tiime different view from the second table accourding to record “sorting group” How can I do that ??? I can’t find how to make condition to the views … Thank you

Hello. I would like to apply the same filter on multiple columns. Seems simple… but not at all! ie: Today if I want to filter records wich contains the word “test” in at least 1 of 3 columns, I have to configure filter by adding each column to the filter. I would like to configure something like this: IF “column A” OR “column B” OR “column C” contains “test” IRL I need to filter on 15 columns and I would like to have a dropdown menu in my interface to chose a world to filter… Hope you’ll help me! I use the LONG TEXT field on my records as a way to put in subtasks as checklists - these aren’t linked to secondary tasks, but they itemize the steps I need to take on a specific task. I’m often copying from something else to add in to the checklist. Here’s what I don’t understand. This is the list I copy: VFX-01 VFX-02 VFX-03A VFX-03C VFX-04 VFX-05A VFX-05B VFX-05C VFX-06 When I paste it in, it looks like this: Is it possible to paste it in so that I don’t have to manually add a checkbox to each line?

I’m new to Airtable and have only used bases shared with me. I created my own base, and need to make it private. A colleague told me to move it to “My First Workspace”…however I don’t have that workspace as an option.

Hi all. I have the following issue: I want to integrate a table inside a Notion page. In my table there are links to Google Photos albums, but they don’t work (they do instead work if I copy and paste the same link in the browser). Like, if I scan a barcode of a record of my Airtable base, can I attribute to it another field via scanning another barcode of another record of my Airtable base? I want to have people sign up for time slots. Can I have it remove each one for the next person? In other words, say the options are 1:00, 1:10, 1:20, 1:30, etc. When someone fills out the form and chooses 1:00, can I have it removed from the options for the next person so each time slot only gets one person?

How do I chart different fields in a record or a series of records? I do not want to chart down the field but across the record.

Hi all, I’m looking to provide a way for User A in Base #1 to update the status of a record, which will cause that record to appear in a custom view for user B in Base #2 and the status will change in both bases. when User B checks the checkbox field if the record in Base #2 - The status will change in both bases again. Basically, in our workflow, users need to be able to update the status of a project across bases, and have that change happen universally. What is the best way to achieve this?

Hello Airtable community, I’m generating reports from my Airtable base using the page designer app and it’s been going quite well so far. I’m now trying to create a table of contents in the report, but am not able to make it interactive in the resulting PDF (i.e. you click on the topic in the table of contents and it scrolls to the corresponding report text). Anyone know of a way to make this work using Airtable or some other app? I’ve tried Adobe Acrobat but it isn’t working very well and is really tedious.

I have a Formula Field that creates a custom URL from my airtable. In the past, if a piece of data was missing in the airtable that was referenced in the Formula field … the data would just be empty. Now though, it’s throwing an error unless all of the data is populated. Does anyone have experience with this? Can you do something like =if(isnull, “noData”) in the formula?

I would like to keep a total score in a separate field based on certain values in 1 to 10 fields. So let’s say: Field 1: Yes Field 2: No Field 3: Yes Field 4: No Field 5: Yes Field 6: Yes Field 7: No Field 8: Yes Field 9: Yes Field 10: Yes Then a summarized 7 must be placed in the final number field. 7x yes = 7 and if I change field 3 to no after 2 weeks in the database, then field must become final grade 6 without having to do this manually. Is this possible and if yes how? I read about rollup/formula fields but how to do this on these 10 examples fields? It should be all present in 1 table and not different tables.

Hi guys, I’m currently building a web app that connects people via text (will be done on whatsapp at first). I have a list of pre-generated whatsapp groups in a data sheet on airtable. This is a simplified version of the current flow I have set up: Customer signs up on site -----> all customer data from signup form moved into Airtable Zapier pulls relevant fields from Airtable -----> Automated text is sent with blank fields filled in Here is my issue: it looks like Zapier is only allowing me to pull fields that are populated from the customer signing up. Meaning, their name/phone number/email etc. I need it to pull from a different data sheet on Airtable. Is it possible to have Airtable update the field that was just created and add another column to it, prior to the next automated text zap? I have a base that I’ve given “Commenter” access to. Is there a way to disable the “Download CSV” and “Print View”. I was surprised they showed up as options for a commenter role. Thanks, Stacey

So I have a table called “Todos” with all of my todos. Each todo has a start date and time & end date & time. I have another table called “Calendar” that uses Airtable Sync to sync with my Google Calendar. I want to schedule my Todos IN CONTEXT with my Google Calendar events. To do this, I want to see my tasks AND Google Calendar events in one calendar view. Specifically, what I really want to be able to do is, drag, and re-arrange a Todo AROUND the events populated from my Google Calendar. I do not know how to achieve this second goal. The closest solution I thought of was to create a NEW Base and sync my “Todos” table and my “Calendar” table (since you can’t create a synced table from a single base… WHY?). Recently, the interface has changed, moving the names of people who are notified of comments way up to the top. It was WAY easier to see who will receive comment notifications when those names were listed at the bottom, when you clicked into the Comment box. Those tiny, overlapping circles of user icons at the top takes much more effort to explore. Sure hope Airtable moves them back to the bottom, or at least makes the names more discoverable.

Hi there, I’m sharing a view in Airtable with the SHARE VIEW functionality with my work colleagues, and have added a password for protection. The password works for 1-2 days, then stops working and I have to reset with a new one. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I’ve looked online but can’t find a solution. Thank you

When adding a base to a table, I was wondering whether it would be possible to have developments with the same title combine so we don’t have two of everything? This is obviously possible with the fields, but was hoping it could also be done with titles as well? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I have a base that I offer for sale as a template. The purchaser copies the base to their account upon purchase. Is there any way of natively finding out how many times one of my bases has been copied? If this is not natively possible, is there any way of accessing the meta data for this? Is it possible to create a formula or script that will automatically add collaborators to a collaborator field, under a given condition? Specifically, I’d like Airtable to automatically add a “collaborator” to one multi-select collaborator field when that collaborator is added to another specified field elsewhere in the base. In my project mgmt base, we have separate collaborator fields for our Projects and Tasks table: (1) an “assigned to” field in Tasks (defining ONE person who is currently working on a given task) and (2) a “project team” field in Projects (defining ALL the people involved in the project). Both fields are necessary for different types of tracking. The Tasks field allows a user to see the task on his to-do list. The Projects field allows the Project to show up in his “current projects” feed (essenitally allowing him to “follow” the project, even if a task is not currently assigned to him). I have 2 date columns… Date 1, Date 2 2020-10-01, 2023-02-01 2019-04-01, 2022-03-31 I’m using the formula specified here to output the difference in years/months… IF(AND({Date 1}, {Date 2}), DATETIME_DIFF({Date 2},{Date 1}, 'years') & ' years & ' & (DATETIME_DIFF({Date 2},{Date 1}, 'months') - DATETIME_DIFF({Date 2},{Date 1}, 'years')*12) & ' months') It currently outputs “2 years & 4 months” for Column 1 (correct), and “2 years & 11 months” for Column 2 (incorrect). Column 2 is 1 day off 3 years exactly, and I need a way to round it to the nearest month. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
