I trying to write a formula that counts 3 days after a contract execution date INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS but if it falls on a weekend or Holiday it’ll go to the next workday as the due date.

Hi All I’m wondering how we can “sell” access to Airtable Interfaces and Bases. Basically with interfaces, automations, apps etc… Airtable is able to cover 99% of business need in terms of internal tools, dashboard, client portals, collaboration tool etc… Many people are now willing to pay to get the right bases and interfaces without creating it (like everything). The problem is that it’s difficult to sell what you created, till now I’ve found those option Add the client as collaborator. Which is not feasible cause he can export the whole base seeing formula and custom code. Sharing the base. Again the clients can export everything and resell what he has bought. Make a cover of Airtable with Softr, Stackr, etc… Which is possible, but again now the standards are quite high, so the only way is to create something similar to Airtable interface, which is almost impossible in the no code area. I’m just starting to learn how to link different tables and databases. I have a set of tags (or categories, if you prefer) that I use for different things, across multiple databases and tables. Is it possible to have it in one single place (=table, database) and synchronize / link it to all the tables I need it (so I don’t have to rebuild it every time)? More precisely, I would like to synchronize (or use data from) a field, not a table: I created a table in a database, with two fields: a “Tags” field and a “Categories” field. With, in multiple select and multiple options, all the categories and tags I use regularly. And I would like to be able to use these “template” fields (sometimes Tags, sometimes Categories) in the tables I create in other databases, among other custom fields. And if it is possible, is it a good idea? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions!

I would love to be able to share a base with a customer of ours where they can view only a specified amount of fields ( specified by myself - currently can’t do this ), and allow editing only within a specific field, specified by myself ( currently not possible ). Thirdly, allowing the customer to make use of the above two features, coupled with allowing them to comment would be really great ( this allows for notifications which is really useful ). Put simply, our need as a business is sharing a base with a customer where they can view only specific fields, have editing access to a specific field of my choosing and be allowed to comment ( which allows for notifications ), would be such a great help. I have spent hours trying to figure this out and researching but my findings tell me these aspects together aren’t possible. Please could airtable make this possible? I love every other aspect of airtable and wouldn’t want to start looking at alternative platforms.

Hi! I’m syncing data from outside (trello) and one of the fields I get is the List ID which I think I need to link to a table that pulls up the List Name associated with the ID. My question is, can I make Airtable read that Looked Up Field as a Single Select Field somehow so I can reproduce the List Name as a Kanban board? I know I can do this manually, but would like it to be automatic as I pull in data often. Thanks ahead for any advice!

My source table has 3 less records than the synced table. What are possible causes and how do I find the extra records in the synced table.

My table provides data which I need to export into CSV and then import into an online application. My text shows line breaks (using the “\n” code in the text in Airtable). The issue is this code may not be interpreted by online applications that do support HTML or plain text format. Some online forms do interpret it as pre-formatted text, but most of them don’t. So text that shows with line breaks in Airtable (thanks to the “\n” code) will show only as a merged text when imported and all is in one line without any breaks. This was asked here previously with recommendation to add HTML or CSS code. Adding the regular line break code can be messy if you have concatenated formulas for output text coming from different fields. I would have to add <__br/> and <p> </p> after every individual block of text in Airtable concatenated formula. Hi, we’re a coalition of national organizations that has built an accelerator program for 90+ frontline community organizations seeking grant funding and organization-building assistance. We’d like to create a portfolio for each org that tracks data and updates, as well as aggregate data across the orgs for our own decision-making and reporting. We also will need to link to other data sheets. For example, connecting an org to a TA provider that serves their location and need. I’m looking for advice on how we might be able to set this up quickly. Also, most orgs have shoestring budgets and do not have airtable. any solutions and ideas are welcome!

I’m asking to look at two fields when merging records. The current App only looks at one record. I deal with large data sets that have fields that update over time. Each record is not unique due to the order number. However, if you look at the order number and product number within that order, the records are unique

Hi there, I have two different forms feeding the same table. I am trying to teach my students about A/B testing to figure out which is more effective. I can’t find a field that gets passed indicating which form the information comes in from. Does that exist, or is there a quick workaround? Thanks!

Hi everyone ! I’ve been struggling for weeks now because of this issue and I’m out of options. What I’m trying to achieve : upload a resized image (original image stored on Google Drive) as an attachment to Airtable. I have tried : Google Drive : I get the infamous “Error Fetching URL Meta Data” One Drive : I reach a limit after 9 integromat automation Dropbox : I tried using the “Download Url” share link which works fine outside of airtable but nothing happens when I load it manually as an attachment (literally nothing, not even an error message) I would love to not have to use a temporary folder for my resized image and load the file directly as “data” but Airtable doesn’t allow that either. Has anyone faced this issue and fixed it ? Thanks ! Charlie

I love AirTable but am still struggling with writing AirTable Equations. I wish I was as good at AirTable equations as I am at Excel Equations. In the screen shot attached you see I have Transactions, Expenses, Income, Carryover and Type. I am trying (so far unsuccessful) to write an equation so that IF the “Type” field is outgoing money (selected as red Expense or orange Payroll) than the “Transaction Amount” appears in “Expense Amount” as a Negative Number. Nothing should appear in Income Amount Similarly, if the “Type” is incoming money (Selected as the green Income) than the Transaction amount appears in “Income Amount” as a positive number. Hi, I have various tables in which each record has an associate rank. The rank given is not an automatic, calculated rank but a manual rank decided by me. I want the rank to be dynamic so that if I add a new row which should be ranked somewhere in the middle of the total order then all other entries in the same table have their rank change accordingly. I do not need the rank to taken into account any other tables, the rank is specific to each table individually. Is this possible?

Hi I am trying to setup an interim leave tracker that allows us to see and track leave on a calendar which is pretty straightforward. Where I am struggling is how we allow employees to update or cancel previously captured records. Anyone have any genius ideas?

I use a Google Drive auto sync to list videos we’ve finished. The URL Preview app stopped working when trying to watch the .mp4’s. URL Preview is pulling from a field with links directly to each video on google drive. It was working a couple weeks ago. I’m not sure what could have changed on my end.

Hi, I have a base with a number of views, one of them which is Grouped by a field that uses attachments. Is it possible to somehow show this image next to the name of each group? For example, rather than just having grouped sections comprised of the field name and value in pure text, a thumbnail of their attachment image would be visible. Would be a nice touch to make it more visual. Chris.

Hey guys, I’m pretty new to Airtable but it looks extremely powerful and I’m pretty excited about what it can do. I do have one question though – is there any way to store Users in a base? In particular, I’m asking about users that would need to log in to a website so there would be a password field. From what I can see, there’s no way to hide the contents of a field and I don’t think storing a password in a base would be secure enough. Does anyone know much about this or any workarounds? Instead of the attachments showing as icons is it possible to store a clickable list similar to MS Access?

I am trying to show 3 different fields in the calendar. I found post about using a formula to make it happen but i am new to airtable and am not exactly sure how to make a formula for my case or that it is even possible since i do not need any math done. What i would like on the calendar would be the following fields - Event ID, Event Name.and Organization Name. Any advise on this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I want to add contributors to a base, they won’t be allowed to edit the basis, they will be able, only, to add and modify records, but not to change the base structure, formulas, etc. Is that possible? How I will be charged for therm? thank you for your help.

Hi All, I have a scenario where I need to have a formula that looks at all of the dates and picks up the earliest/first one as the "Initial Enquiry’. However not all of the fields are filled in there are fields that are empty as not everyone was enquiring for the particular developments. I have this formula: MIN( VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #1},‘YYYYMMDD’)), VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #2},‘YYYYMMDD’)), VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #3},‘YYYYMMDD’)), VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #4},‘YYYYMMDD’)), VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #5},‘YYYYMMDD’)), VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Field #6},‘YYYYMMDD’)) ) However, it doesn’t seem to capture the empty fields hence it is giving ‘error’ as the result. So what is required is for a formula

i’m using the CSV import app to create a list of unique people who have attended all our events. i match the people using their email address and create new people if they don’t exist. one of the fields is a related record field that relates to a tab with a list of all the events. that field allows for linking to multiple records. however, when i import the list of attendees from Event 2, it overwrites all the data in the Events Attended field, so that Event 1 disappears. my preferred outcome is that Event 1 and Event 2 appear in the Events Attended field. how do i solve? thanks!!
