Ok So I have a Google Sheet and I wish to create something similar in Airtable since Google is limiting the project basically So, we have people that put in information on a form on Slack The form includes: Month Date Year Product Name Type of Submission Marketplace Type of Market IP Violation Type Country URLs References Submitted by Submitted From On the URL field people put in various urls example. https://example.com Airtable Airtable | Everyone's app platform Airtable is a low-code platform for building collaborative apps. Customize your workflow, collaborate, and achieve ambitious outcomes. Get started for free. So when it goes into the Google Sheet it counts that entry as two urls that were submitted by John Doe. The Google Sheet also checks that the url is active or removed usually giving out the 200, and if removed 404 error. Is this something that can be replicated on Airtable? Here is the link to our google sheet
Hello! I’m trying to set up a Gantt view for our team. The tasks are primary deliveries which last less than a day, and in the view the task is a block that spans the entirety of the day. Not sure if this can be changed to specific slots to show the portion of the day! Added context: my start and end dates are computed (formula) fields. Screenshots of the view and the formulas are below. Thanks in advance :))
Clicking on “Help” and then "“contact support” goes nowhere. No page opens. No dialog. Nothing…
I am using Airtable as a CRM, and have a ‘clients’ table, with a primary contact email field. I have a project for which I will need to contact each client, but would like to do this one by one, rather than emailing everyone at once. I have created a button field and set the button to trigger a SendGrid app email. By default, this will send to all records in the table. I realise I can filter and configure the SendGrid app to only send to a given view. But is there any way of having a button trigger an email for that record only, without having to first check a box to stick that record into a given view?
Is it possible to assign the same task to multiple projects/records, and then be able to mark that task as completed on specific records only? For example, I have a table with a list of clients, and have another table with all the tasks that could ever need to be completed for those clients. One such task is to send new client letters to each new client. If I go to my clients/projects table and assign that task to each new client I have- we’ll say Jane Doe, Sally Doe, and John Doe, how can I mark that task complete for just Jane? Right now, if I mark it complete for one client, it currently says it’s also complete for all the others that need that task as well. Is there a way to make this show complete for some and incomplete for others?
Hi, I have changed the field type of some columns from “Attachment” to “Long text”. However, now I need to go back to the old format without losing the data. If I try to do so, the content of the columns is not converted and it is lost. So is there a way to convert columns from “Long Text” to “Attachment” type ? Thank you for your help, Damien ROCHE
At my organization we have a table in one base (Primary Base- PB) that lists members. I have another base (Outreach Base - OB) that is constructed to capture outreach efforts related to the members in the PB. Till now I have been using Zapier to update modifications of key fields within PB in my OB. Sync is going to change that I hope. However, I’m in the midst of organizing a new synced PB member table in my OB and I’ve hit a major road block. I am unable to upload csv’s to the new synced table! I’m not interested in creating new records, I’m just modifying additional fields that are not synced to the PB. When will this be resolved?
Hello! I would like to create a Grid view that only displays the latest record. I’ve played around with formulas, but am not finding success. I’m sure it’s something simple and stupid. I don’t want to have to interact with the Table to get it to update. I have a Field for the Creation Date and I also have an auto-number ID that I could compare against. Again, I just couldn’t get the logic right. Thank you, in advance, for your help.
This still bothers me a little. I have a base where I upload attachments of pdfs that may contain confidential information. Each attachment has its own URL, and although they don’t show up on a Google search or anything like that, there’s nothing to prevent someone who didn’t have access to the base to which the attachments are uploaded from accessing them by the URL. It also doesn’t seem to be possible to password protect uploaded pdfs. Any advice on this from a data security point of view?
Hello~~ Airtablers! I added the URL to the Google Calendar using “Sync to an external calendar” in Airtable’s calendar view. However, the timezone used in Airtable’s Calendar view and Google Calendar’s timezone are different. The timezone I want is the timezone used in Airtable’s Calendar view: (AEDT, UTC+11). In Google Calendar, “(GMT+00:00) Coordinated Universal Time” timezone is used, and I cannot change these settings. How to match the timezone of Google Calendar with the timezone of Airtable can i do it?
I’m discontinuing using my iPad. I’ve entered TWO YEARS of important contact info into my iPad AirTable data base file. There’s no way to save or export that information from the iPad app! Why isn’t that WARNING made evident on the App Store site? I’m blind in one eye, and have arthritic fingers - it’s going to be time-consuming torture for me to hand type the data elsewhere!
I have been looking to create sales reports for salespeople that have numerous downstream. Similar to that of a multi-level marketing environment. I want to display an individual salesperson’s fee per order in a well-formatted page design template. On my table with all of the orders and fee information, there are three potential fields for a salesperson to be in. Those fields are: Primary Relationship, Secondary Relationship and Tertiary Relationship. For context, the table fields in the orders table are: Purchaser, Purchase amount, Primary relationship, Primary relationship fees, Secondary Relationship, Secondary Relationship fees, Tertiary relationship, Tertiary relationship fees. How could I use Page Designer to iterate through the table and only show the Purchaser, Purchase Amount, and one particular salesperson’s fees from orders they are involved with in the original table? For context, I want the page design template to have the following structure: <Salesman’s Name> Purc
So I have a payment tracker in google sheets and am trying to figure out how I can get it to work similarly in Airtable. Below is an image of my google sheet. Everything in red has a formula. The “Monthly” is calculated by dividing the total by the length. The “Remaining” is calculated by multiplying the amount of the “Monthly” by the number of checkboxes, then subtracting that from the total. Google “Remaining” formula: =C3-(COUNTIF(E3:P3,TRUE)*D3)
How would I go about duplicating this in some way in Airtable since each cell can’t have its own formula? Cell formula: =COUNTIFS (Inventory!B8:B, "Tiny", Inventory!C8:C, "Head", Inventory!G8:G, "In Collection")
I have a discord bot written in javascript using autocode. When a user joins my discord server, my bot updates my airtable table called discord. I have another table linked to the discord table, called defense. The defense uses the discord fields of ID, User ID, Username, and Role from the Discord table. The defense table has some other fields which the user should be able to update later. How do I get the Defense table to update with the new users when they join the server? Right now, I insert a record into the Discord table with the user info. But even though the two tables are linked together, the Defense table is not updating with the new users info.
hello. is there a way to import outlook email attachments directly in Airtable? I have an automation set-up to import the data (e.g. subject, body) from the email, but have been unable to get attachments to come in as well. appreciate any insights.
Hi, Thanks for your time. I’m looking for some help with a form that allows facilitators to sign up for training sessions. These sessions happen every week and require multiple facilitators. I’m asking for their help, so I want them to have to do them minimum amount of form-filling possible. My ideal situation is: A form in which facilitators can select their name from a drop down list (that bit is fine) A form which lets them select which sessions they are able to attend (this bit is where I’m having issues) And a backend system in which I can see which facilitators are attending a session easily. I’ve been experimenting with three potential situations The facilitator chooses the date from a date field on the form :grinning: Upsides: I know it works  Downsides: They might choose the wrong date, and they also have to submit multiple forms in order to share their availability with me A linked table with the specific dates already input :grinning: Upsides: No danger of faci
Hello fellow airtablers… So, im new to airtable, and i want to set up a base for tracking goods in our warehouse… So I made a row called “total in stock” and now i wonder if its possible to set up another row, that will subtract the number entered, from the “total in stock” row? The number entered here, would preferably dissapear afterwards, so that if someone else picks up from the same item, they can also put in the ammount, and it would get subtracted from the total… Hope I explained this understandable, and that someone is able to help. Have a good day everyone
Hi there, I’m using this script by @Justin_Barrett to batch duplicate some records: This is what it looks like:: let table = base.getTable("TaskLog"); let query = await table.selectRecordsAsync() let checked = query.records.filter(record => {return record.getCellValue("Copy") === true}) // Make new records based on those that were checked let newRecords = [] for (let record of checked) { let newRecord = {fields: {}} for (let field of table.fields) { // @ts-ignore if (field.isComputed || field.name === "Copy") continue let value = record.getCellValue(field.name) if (value === record.name) value += "" newRecord.fields[field.name] = value } newRecords.push(newRecord) } while (newRecords.length > 0) { await table.createRecordsAsync(newRecords.slice(0, 50)) newRecords = newRecords.slice(50) } My question is: How should I edit this script so that after the new duplicate records are create
This should be easy but i am not succeeding in getting it done. I have a field named “month” and i want it to change according to a date field. If the date is in October i want that field to have the word “October”. I have it as a single select field but i would like it to be automatic. How can i do this? Be it an automation or function or zapier or whatever. Thanks in advance.
Hi, I wrote a little script who : 1/ Delete some records of the table tableSuiviFacturation while (recordToDelete.length > 0) { await tableSuiviFacturation.deleteRecordsAsync(recordToDelete.slice(0, 50)); recordToDelete = recordToDelete.slice(50); } 2/ Insert some new recors in this table : await tableSuiviFacturation.createRecordAsync({ "Client" : [{id: clientsID[item]}], "Période" : Periode, "Solde début période" : montantDernierSolde[item], ......... And I 've a error SyntaxError: await is only valid in async functions and the top level bodies of modules If I remove the await, the error disappears but I don’t understand why ?!!
Hi Airtable Experts. Can you see if you can help me out? I am using Zapier to sync records with airtable (all 3 are free plans). All goes well, except for some date fields in hubspot. For Most airtable date formats it doesnt sync and when it does its the wrong date. Like 10 or 600 years from now. What am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
I’m curious: WHEN did field-level permissions arrive? I’ve tried dated-limited internet searches and can’t find anything before 2021.
Newbie question here! I searched the forum and couldn’t find what I needed. Wondering if it’s possible to share a read only link to a view with a URL parameter that filters to only show the records that match the parameter value? Specifically, we have a field called “Group ID” that serves as a parent/master identifier that we use to group records together. I would like to share a read-only link with the Group ID value added on the end as a parameter. The viewer would then only be able to view records that had that particular Group ID. I’m able to dynamically generate the URL and send each time with a different Group ID and only want the viewer to see the records for that Group ID referenced in the URL they received. The general idea is: www.airtable.com/viewid/?groupid=123456 would only show records that had a value of “123456” for the Group ID field. I’m not sure how to set up the view and/or field or how to structure the URL :frowning: From what I see hints of, this can be done but
Hello, I’m testing Airtable as our potential new tool in our agency, but couldn’t find a very important fuction, to sort these tables by collaborators to see only records connected to them. Let’s say we have a main table where every project is we are currently working on in our agency. For each record there is a collaborator pinned by his account who is responsible for this specific project. But as we have few employees, we want to create a main table where all the project will be visible for everyone, but also create a seperate tables or views, so a specific person will see only his records. If it’s going to be a table, obviously it would have to be somehow automated, so whenever someone create a new record with him as a collaborator, then it should copy this record into his personal table in the same time. Is it possible? It seems to be such important fuction yet I cannot find it…
