Hi, I have a few automations where the action is to send an email to an address from a record. Most of them are working perfectly, however some emails are not being received even though the automation actually ran. I can’t figure out the issue. Is it a problem on the receiver’s side ? The emails are not in their spam … Thanks !

Hi all, I deal with a lot of 3D geometry files in a manufacturing context. I’d like to be able to provide automatic thumbnail previews for my uploaded .STEP, .STL, and/or .SLDPRT files. Can anyone recommend a way of doing this? I see that the 3D Space App supports manipulatable renderings of .OBJ files, which are quite similar to .STEP files in a lot of ways. But it’s too much work for us to upload .OBJ files in addition to .STEP - I would need to find a way to automatically convert between the two formats in Airtable. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Alternatively, I was imagining there could be an app that deals directly with .STEP files. I wouldn’t even need 3D renderings, just a static thumbnail preview would be enough. Has anyone heard of a solution like this? Thanks all, -Z

I have a base I’m using to build an equalization table. It has to do with providing fair overtime based on overtime worked and opportunities not worked. I thought I had the sheet working well, until today when my boss threw a wrench in the works. I have to subtract where a normal shift overlaps an overtime shift to get total overtime worked. One table contains employee data, including their normal shift start and end times. The other table contains details of an overtime shift that was worked. If I have a user who works 7A to 3:30P, but got called in for an overtime shift, and he worked 5A to 7:30P, I need to make it so the formula will automatically subtract the normal shift time from the shift worked. (I know, this one is easy, it’s 8 hours). Not all employees work the same shifts, and I need to be able to automatically subtract whatever part of their regular shift overlaps the shift that was actually worked. Good afternoon folks. I have PRO account with several bases our department collaborates with. I have one base in particular that my boss and I have access to, me as Owner, him as editor. One field is a single select, and he is not able to add new values to the choices by typing into the field. I have gone so far as to select specific users to allow editing to the field, I’ve made it so editor and higher have rights to enter data… no matter how he tries, he can’t add a new value. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello! Here is my situation. I have 2 tables. Table A Populates based on information submitted by the client. Fields include: name, email, subdivisions they live in, a description of a problem and an empty field with the name of the ambassador of that subdivision. Table B Has information about the ambassadors responsible for client of certain subdivisions. Fields include: name email and an array of subdivisions they are responsible for. I want to autopopulate the Ambassador field in Table A with the name of the ambassador responsible with that subdivision. The program would need to look at the subdivision name in table A, then check which ambassador has that subdivision in table B and then fill the empty field in table A with the name of the appropriate ambassador. Hi everyone, I’m trying to have the view name in my row. Basically what I’m doing is I have all these views each with a unique filter, and when a user enters the view I would like to display the name of the view he entered in the row. I tried doing this with automations but the limit is 25 and my views are more than a 100. I can do it with zapier but it would be very time consuming, do you think there might be another way?

Hi Everyone, I’ve been encountering some strange bugs in my bases all day, which is pretty unusual for Airtable. Some other staff members in my company have also reported things going wrong, so I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, or knows what may be causing it? So far we have had- Linked records disappearing Search function not finding records that are definitely there Formula not working properly on some records (but not all) for no discernible reason and with no consistency across records Can anyone advise?

I have a race that happens once a year. Most information gathered for registration like cell phone, address, email generally does not change frequently. But there are a three categories that define how the racer participated in that years event. Vehicle Type (Car, Truck, Motorcycle, UTV, Youth UTV or Youth Motorcycle) Class (Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4 or Class 5) Racer Type (Driver of Record, Additional Driver or Co-Driver/Navigator) For example: In 2017, Johnny Johnson has raced a Car // Class 1 // Driver of Record. In 2018, he raced a UTV // Class 4 // Driver of Record. In 2019, he raced a Motorcycle // Class 5 // Additional Driver. In 2020, he raced a Car // Class 1 // Additional Driver. Knowing there is only one Johnny Johnson that exists in the world, what is the best way to track this racer - year to year - so I can see what the three categories he was each year? My problem is a bit tough to explain, but I’ll try my best: I have a table with car allocations per people. Those change on a daily basis, so I have many records for each car, and many records for each person. The relevant fields are: Start date, car number, person ID, end date. Sometimes there could be months between start and end date, and sometimes there are days or even hours. What I’m looking for is an easy way to find for a specific date and a specific car - which person had it during that time. Sometimes I want it the other way around - for a specific date and specific person - which car he had during that time. At the moment what I’m doing is filtering by person ID or by car and looking for all the different allocations, manually checking to see where my date falls between start and end dates. Any idea for an easier way to do that? With Access for example I would create a query. I couldn’t find any easy way to do it within Airtable. Any ide

Hi, I want to achieve the following: I have manually entered lines (financial stock inventory). Each line having different colums (e.g. invest typ, notes, etc.) For each line, I have a Unique identifier entered (it is the ISIN number to identify the relevant stock information) I want now to add a column, where in each cell, a REST call to https://finnhub.io/ should be executed, getting and then displaying the corresponding value (e.g. year-to-date % change) for the ISIN number of this line entry. I am using a free account. I had a base used for a triathlon team. Only 2 people have owner/creator status. Everyone else is read only. The base was covering multiple years of data and it got to be too much. I created two more bases in the workspace so I have a 2019, 2020, and now a 2021. But sharing was originally only with the one that is now for 2020. I need all those people to have access to the entire workspace instead of just the one base. Is there a way I can do that without having to send a link to everyone? I’d really like to be able to just do it behind the scenes. Thanks for any help! Happy New Year!

Hi Airtable Community, I would really appreciate your help in guiding me towards a solution to my problem. I’m fairly new to Airtable and have a comfortable grasp with basic features and some advanced, but I came across and interesting use case and I can’t seem to figure it out. My table is focused managing non-identifiable healthcare information for a community based health services organization and we’ve been using Airtable to manage some basic information (about 15 data points in total). The particular case that I’m trying to solve goes like this: When “patient A” changes insurance carries (single select column), I track that as a date change (Last Modified Time column). Using this Last Modified Time column I can sort by most recent date and keep track of the latest changes for weekly reporting purposes. What I’m trying to accomplish is to have an additional column that will display the previous value of the “single select column” change.

I am using page designer to print my invoices but the dates for services are out of order. How do I get the dates in chronological order?

I’m sure there is a possibility but I cannot quite figure it out! I have many projects listed in one table, and as I add projects in the primary field, is there a way to have these duplicate into a separate table inside the primary field?

Noob, sorry in advance. (also used to excel which I’m sure makes it even worse) I created a column that takes a uniform date column (start date) and count column. Then a third column that has the following formula - DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD({Start Date},Count-1,‘DAYS’),‘MM/DD/YYYY’). It works well. BUT (there’s always a but) I’m not able to format it as a date, preventing me form being able to but it in a calendar. My question is: is this antiquated thinking? Did I do something backwards? Or is it a limitation of Airtable that likely is saving me from a bigger problem? And, would anyone have a fix or better solution than the one I laid out? Is there any way to speed up the deduping process? My goal is to see “customers” and their “purchases” since my last audit. Here’s my scenario: I have a table of “customers” that are linked to their “purchases” in another table At the end of every month, I receive an automated report of 6k+ users or “customers” that are “active.” I need to show only those customers and their purchases. I’ve tried to use the dedupe block but it seems time-consuming to merge over 6,000 records. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Kim

I want to be able to have someone put in two dates and have a list of dates that are holidays and then for a formula to tell me their is 1 or 2 or etc holidays between the two dates you picked. i cant figure it out.

I use sorting and filtering a lot but am not too happy with it. It feels quite manual. I use vim and keyboard shortcuts often so anything to do with the mouse annoys me. I feel like airtable would be amazing if it had some sort of launch controller to do many popular tasks, like sorting and filtering.
