I’m new here and our non-profit started using Airtable for managing media, and doing simple survey forms. How can I format bold, italic, underline form field names and the text boxes before the data field in the form builder - I don’t seem any option to do this. Help appreciated.
Hi All: This is incredibly simple I think but want to verify. In my view, I’m just filtering out the entries that older. I’m using Created Time and when I choose any of the preset options (one day ago, one week ago, etc.), it all works fine. When I enter in a specific number of days though, nothing will appear in the view (but should). When using a specific number of days ago for a filter based on created time, do I need to have a separate calculation for day count and base the filter off of that?
Hi, I’m wondering if someone can help me to automate something in my airtable base. I’m fairly new to scripting so not too sure how to do this. We have a base that we use for project management. The base has three tables - Projects, Tasks, Task templates. Each record in “Projects” can link to multiple records in “Tasks”. Each record in “Tasks” can only link to one record in “Projects”. Currently we have a set of template records in “Task Templates” that manually get copied across to “Tasks” and then linked to a record in “Projects”. The records in the “Task templates” have a number of fields that are already populated with standard content. I want to create a form or a script to copy a selection of records from “tasks templates”, link these to a record in the table “Projects” and paste these in to the table “tasks”. For each different record in “Projects” we can have a different selection of “Tasks” (i.e. there isn’t a standard selection of tasks for each project). I would really appre
Hi, In one base I have the following: One table that lists my clients (Current Clients) One table that lists the client orders with cost per order (the Current Clients tallies the amount of units ordered but NOT cost) One table the tallies cost per client (total and per month). I need table 3 to tally the costs. I’m not sure how to do that. I’m a long-time Google Sheets users, but that experience isn’t helping here. I know I can tally cost in table 1, but I want a separate table to tally cost. Thanks.
Looking to hopefully figure out a (simple) way to send out automated approval request emails and collect the response back to the base. I know it can be done with typeform for example, but hoping maybe some of the new apps/automations could handle it all within airtable? For example, put in a purchase request and check the box for “ready for approval” that sends an email to the manager or managers and within that email ideally is a button/hyperlink that they can just click on that says approve or deny, which then updates the record with an approval or denial straight for the email (and subsequently sends a notification to whomever made the request). Is this doable without third party integrations at this time?
Have not (I don’t think) been able to find something that fits the bill here yet. I am trying to build (have mostly built) a base for our construction project to handle purchase orders. My base currently has 7 tables (Inventory List, POs, PO Details, Shipments, Shipment Details, Delivery Details, and Vendors). The idea/workflow is as follows: Go into the PO table and create a new purchase order with a unique number (hard-keying now but would like to switch to auto-numbering in the future) (say from home depot for lumber) Go into the PO details table and start creating detail lines in the PO (IE if I was buying lumber from home depot, I could add a line for 2x4s, a line for 1/2" 4x8 plywood, a line for 8’ 4x4s, etc). The detail description is a linked record to the Inventory table so if it is something I have bought before or buy regularly, I can just pull that up. If it is something new, it gets added to the inventory table. In the PO Details table, link each detail line to the approp
Hello everyone. I’m a Navy Career Counselor. I am basically working as a Human Resource Manager. I have a base that tracks various data points which include contract end dates, rotation dates, etc. I have 10 tables on one base. The first tab is the Main tab which serves as an Alpha Roster and is the link to all other tabs. My conundrum with automations is that when I want to update a contract end date on my Loss table I also need that same contract end date updated on every other table for the same person but I can’t get the correct formulation and automation to run (test fails every time). Can someone please reach out or help me? I must admit that I do not know or understand code and scripting. I’m sure with the requisite time for study I could do it but this base is live and I need to automate now. Thank you in advance for your help. Christopher
I understand a URL-designated field can only hold a single URL. Thus, my query. Some of my fields need to contain a URL plus explanatory text, or multiple URLs. For that reason, I set that field as “Long Text,” then use rich text to embed a URL behind the website name. Ex: Visible text reads “ScotlandsPeople,” but the lengthy embedded URL points to a specific page on the SP website. When using Airtable on the laptop, clicking one of these embedded links opens a new browser tab, to the desired page. On the mobile app, however, the front-facing text (that has the embedded link behind it) appears and behaves as just text. Not blue with an underscore. No embedded link. No fly-open icon to click. Just dead text. Am I missing something? Seems if the rich text option exists to embed a full URL behind text in the desktop version of Airtable, it ought to work in the mobile version too. Hmmmm.
Hi all I have a base for managing casual employees’ hours worked. Employees submit hours via a form and payroll uses the entries to pay wages. Payroll would like to see only the records for the relevant payroll period: 16 May - 19 May and every two week period thereafter. Is there any way to filter by these rolling fortnightly periods? Thanks! Travis Further notes: I found that I could get fortnightly periods using the week numbers: ROUND(WEEKNUM(Date)/2) The trouble is that the payroll period is not exactly in sync with the week numbers… Maybe there could be a way to shift the period?
Dedupe seems like a good product, but I must be doing something wrong. I have a TON of duplicates in my table. First name is Dan/Daniel, Greg/Gregory, Joe/Joeseph, Rob/Robert, etc… Last names are identical and so is all of the other information. Dedupe isn’t recognizing ANY of them. Am I doing something wrong in the settings? Or what am I supposed to do to help recognize these duplicates
I have four fields: Unix Timestamp - a single line text field that contains the unix timestamp Date & Time - a formula field that converts the unix timestamp into a readable date and time using the following formula: DATEADD(‘1/1/1970’,{Unix Timestamp},‘seconds’) Date - where I wish to extract just the date from the Date & Time field Time - where I wish to extract just the time from the Date & Time field How do I get numbers 3 and 4 to work?
I had the pleasure of using the Dedupe App the other night on a huge client project that involved 3,500 duplicates with mismatched data. Not just pairs of duplicates, but sometimes groups of 2, 3, or 4 duplicates. And not IDENTICAL duplicates, but duplicates that might or might not have different field information from one another. I was really dreading the project, but it turned out incredibly well because the Dedupe App is absolutely perfectly designed!! The Dedupe App is EXTREMELY well-designed, EXTREMELY intuitive, EXTREMELY powerful, and it has ALL THE OPTIONS that you could ever dream of in a Dedupe App! For example: You can match on any number of fields that you’d like. You have the option to hide matching fields (i.e. fields where the data is 100% the same across multiple records), so you can instantly tell at-a-glance if you can safely merge multiple records. It lets you REMOVE records from a set of 3 or more duplicates, so you can just merge the records that you want to
Hello Airtable family, I’m struggling to figure out a solution on this one and hoping that someone might have a viable approach I can try. Background Info: We are using Airtable as a small business CRM, and the services/products sold are in an ‘orders’ table, which links to a ‘customers’ table. Each order links to a customer, and each customer can have several orders linked. The Mission: When someone calls our shop, it is common that we need to look at their customer record and see information about their orders on the fly. We want to be able to find the customer quickly in the customer table, expand the record, and see particular information about the orders. The Challenge: Our base is, well, rather complex utilizing nearly 100 columns/data points on each order. Filled with formulas, lookups, calculations and even static fields generated from automation scripts. When we input a new order, we use a view that curates these fields to only the ones needed for input. This is also the

Need the assistance of some brilliant Airtable minds. My parents are dealing with quite a few health issues. My dad has Alzheimers  . I want to create a digital dashboard like Dakboard but need to avoid monthly fees. Wondering if anyone have any solutions, suggestions, on how to build a digital dashboard that utilizes Airtable? MagicMirror2 looks like it is beyond my skill set. I created an Appointment Scheduler where I can add their appointments and then created a view that shows upcoming appointments and another view that shows past appointments. I would love to have the upcoming appointments in the digital dashboard. Dakboard looks easy to use but there is no mention of it integrating with Airtable. If you of you kind brilliant folks have any thoughts, I would love to hear from you! Many many thanks :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Hello! How to add hours from one column to date from another column and get the result. Formula DATEADD ({Matchday date}, - {Date / Time}, ‘hours’) in Date / Time I write 2 hours, but for some reason the result is 5 hours, instead of 2! Help)
is it possible to connect the tracker view to another table in the same base? so that it collects the status infos from table 1 (grid view) and sorts and shows them in table 2 (tracker view) many thanks
Hello there, I am new with Airtable, I’ve got an idea I would like to make happen for my Real Estate client on Webflow. Basically, I would want to make a base where her prospects and related connections would be able to fill out there available times & dates. This will be incorporated into Webflow’s CMS with the help of Zapier. I was not sure if you can have a feature of the form where the client could make new fields for the availabilities. Thanks
I was trying to make some changes to my AirTable workspace and ended up messing it up so my records and tables are no longer functioning properly. Since I made these mistakes, I am now trying to revert back to my latest snapshot workspace (11 hours) ago. However, everytime I restore it back to this version, it saves in a new airtable base rather than replacing my main one (which is what I want). Please let me know if you can help!
I’m having a strange problem in Zapier where searching for a record in Airtable doesn’t give me access to all of the fields on the record that is found. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but for some reason only values from a subset of the fields on the record are available in future steps in the zap. I have confirmed that the API key I’m using belongs to a user that is a creator in Airtable, so no issues with permissions. It looks like only lookup and formula fields (maybe?) are fetched and made available in future steps. Has anyone else seen this issue and found a solution?
Airtable Not Working by anyone?
In my usage of Airtable, I have records that I email to certain individuals in our company. **Is it possible to send a record to a customer’s mobile number and them still be able to see the full record?? If not, is there a possible workaround to help make this happen?? Thanks, Dominic
Under “collaborators”, I am shown as the owner along with the message “This workspace also has 1 base collaborator not represented above”. No other collaborators are shown. How do I find out who is this other (hidden) base collaborator?
Hello! I created a Follow the Money map via google cloud API on airtable. Is there a way for me to obtain an embed link for the map for our Squarespace website?
Hello, I’ve just started using airtable and I’m wondering if there is a way to quickly add records in Kanban view? Basically, right now, I have to click on the add record button, which opens a dialog each time and it makes it less easy than just adding your description for Task 1 + pressing + adding your description for Task2. Seems like the only way to do it is to go to use grid view and shift + enter? Why not just enter? In my opinion adding records should be effortless in any view
