Hi everyone, I’m looking for a way to update records from multiple tabs into one single tab automatically. For background, I have a base with multiple tabs in accordance to my org’s departments. Every department has its own unique deadlines in accordance with a program/task. Is there a way to: Create a link, automation, or script to take all of the deadlines from the multiple tabs into one overview tab automatically? That is, every time a new deadline is created in the individual department tabs, it will automatically transfer that date into the overview tab. Create/update records from the individual department tabs and include them in the overview tab? I had a free consultation that ultimately expired so any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Is there a way, in a form, to collect the lat-long of the location where someone is (say, from their cell phone) when they upload a photo? Or at least is there a data field format for lat-long? I’m also interested in a time stamp data field, but I only see date, and time modified - I want the user to input the time they recorded the data. Elizabeth

I am a lifetime Excel user, so forgive me thinking like a spreadsheet and not a database, but…here is my problem: I manage an Oyster farm. I have a table that logs the oysters that are harvested. I have another table for the demand for the oysters. I want to net the two against each other and see whether I have enough. As my table of Harvested oysters is set up so each day the team either enters the number of oysters they harvested (a positive number) or the number of oysters they delivered (a negative number). Thus, choosing “sum” at the top/bottom of each column will show me exactly how many oysters I have (summing all the postive/negative numbers to date). And as my table of Demand for oysters shows the number of oysters requested by each client on each date, I can group those by day/week/month, and look again to the “sum” of the column to see how many oysters are needed. I’m trying to keep my team’s resources all in the same place, including some very simple fill-in-the-blank text boilerplates. The text contains and tags for styling already because one of the platforms it will end up in, for some reason, interprets strings of more than one line-break character as something it needs to preserve, so it automatically adds a   to “preserve my intent”. I’ve noticed that I can copy text into an airtable long-text field (with or without Markdown turned on) that’s formatted like this: Some random text More random text And some more but when I copy it back out to plain text it looks like the invisible \r\n at the end of the line has been turned into \r\n\r\n like this Some random text More random text And some more Is there a setting to fix this, or will I need to remove the extra line breaks from everything that comes out of an airtabl

Hi All, I am attempting to embed the scripting block into stacker, but am not having any luck. the block keeps showing up as greyed out. (Image below) Any idea on how to fix this? P.S. i’m not having this issue with any of Airtable’s built-in blocks. Not sure this is an Airtable limitation because they do give you the option to embed the scripting block. Thanks

Hello everyone. I have built a robust task management system in airtable. I run my own business and i wanted to track the time it takes me at various tasks so that when I am ready to hire out/hire intern etc I have an idea of what i’m spending the most time on. I have started using the time tracker block to accomplish this, but i’d love to be able to add BUTTON right next to the task in order to accomplish this. I don’t have scripting experience but I was curious if this was possible? The fact that I cant just be working down my task list and say “start time tracker” drives me crazy and I was hoping to just integrate. Thanks!

Hi, we have been using AT for the last couple of month and it is going very well on most of our projects but I’m stuck on the following. I would like to have a view where we can show all records with the same date. We produce a daily publication and it would be helpful to have a view where our sale people can add an advert booking for a specific date and page. It would also be good to have the same thing but for editorial notes. I wanted to upload a screen shot to help describe the problem but can’t as I’m a new user.

Hi, I’m looking for a solution to add the working hours to a record. Should work like the comment field where anybody could just log his hours which he has worked for this record. I know I could do this with another table and crate a record for every work-log. But it would be much easier for the team if they could log work like they can make comments to a record.

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to have a table automatically update, as I create new entries on my main table. Specifically, I have a table where I add new vfx shot names and info and I want the status table to automatically add these new vfx shot names as they are added to the first table. Is there a way to accomplish this? Manually adding hundreds of new entries on one table is fine, but to add them to all the other tables would be inefficient.

Hello, is there a way to automatically send an email with the content of a row to someone when tagged? I.E when delegating them a task tag them in it and this sends an email with all the info in it

Im looking for advice. When a user submits a form is there a way to distribute a custom email response? I am wanting to send the user an answer from the data logged using a search block. Is this possible? eg. What animal are you looking for cat, dog? user inputs dog and submits form. Email response is a list of available dogs

I am trying to use the new Airtable Automation to update record. I have a form that captures updated information whil I am auditing a computer. This information is stored in a table called Encryption Audits. I want to use airtable’s built in automation to update a separate table with any information that has changed. Encryption Log is the name of this table. When I try and set it up to update, I get “received invalid input.” I am attemptimg to take the fields from the encryption audit table and update my encryption log table with this information. Even tried just having it update the record with text I typed in manually. All attempts end with invalid input. Any help would be much appreciated.

I’m used to using an enterprise account, but now I’m on a PRO account and I’m looking to randomly assign a collaborator to a record. I’ve got an idea of how to do this already, but I don’t know how to pull a user id in a non-enterprise account.

Noob Zapier user here. I am using Zapier to create an Event in Airtable when a new Calendly appointment is made. I use Pacific time for my time zone in Calendly but all collaborators use GMT time in Airtable. When the zap runs. It is putting in the wrong time (as expected). I am a new Zapier user so I don’t know how or where to enter the adjustment so the correct time appears.in AirTable.

Hey guys, Thanks for the help to start with- If I use a form, is there anyway to have that info automatically feed in to my AirTable- I.E. I have an AirTable that requires alot of info for the different blocks. I was thinking it might be easier for my VA’s to simply fill out a form- Then that form feed the answers in to the correct AirTable. Is there an easy way to do that?

Hi, Here is my problem : In my “people” table, I want to display a count of “meeting” records created by each collaborator. In my “meeting” table, I created a “created by” column that automatically sets itself to the creator of each new record. It is important that this information cannot be manually overwritten, this is why I chose “collaborator” field type instead of directly linking it to my “people” table since links can be changed by every user. Now I need to link both tables so I can create a “count” column in my “people” table to count the number of meetings created by each collaborator. In a nutshell, I need the link between those two tables to be automatically set through the creator of each record in the “meetings” table. The problem is that there is no way to set a “Collaborator” type in the Primary Field of my “people” table. Do you have any suggestion that could work around it ? Hope I am clear enough

I have started to build a pedigree database for my cats. I want to se result in health so for me it’s importent to follow my breeder lines. I have some questions regarding Blocks and though Org Chart is it possible to have more relationships types than one? As it is now I can se the mothers lines and the father lines but not at the same time. Is it also possible to embedd blocks into en website or share just the view from the block? Hope someone could help med!

Hi! I am trying to do what I believe is a simple and common task, but I can’t find a way to do it. Let’s say I have a table "Expenses" and another one "Income" I want to bring the data from the Expenses table and the Income table in the same "Page Designer" but obviously I don’t know the "height" of either table in advance as they change month by month. Hi there, I’m new to the AirTable platform and community. We’re a digital agency and I’m looking to deploy AirTable as the central platform to manage all our client projects. I’ve set up a project tracker that is working nicely, but I would like to give our clients the option to receive automatic SMS and email alerts when their projects change status. I have integrated with the Twillo API but can only see a way to send SMS messages to a batch of clients manually. Is there any way to achieve what I need (ie create a series of Templates in Twillo and SendGrid which then automatically trigger to the client once certain rules are met. Ie. when a project changes status to ‘in development’, AirTable checks if the client has ticked the SMS and Email alert field, then finds the SMS and Email template for the ‘status change’ and sends it to them? Any help from the community on this would be amazing! All the best, Owen
