I have of data that you want to import in one fell swoop and I have a bunch of photos that relate to each record of that tons of data. Whats the most efficient way of getting all the data and images up?

I have a form on my website which also has a single select field in it. There are 5 categories to choose from. How can I send form submissions to table 1 when category 1 is chosen. Send to table 2 when category 2 is chosen. Etc. Right now I can achieve this using Zapier, but I am wondering if this is possible within Airtable without using Zapier? Thanks in advance.

I’m using airtable as a contact database (currently 450 records). This database needs to be mass updated by exported information once a month. Is there a way to mass lookup the differences in one set of data and update the old data with the most recent information? I know you can use Zapier to do this, but it is super expensive. Any tips? We are also wanting to track progress for each contact. For example; John smith is a record that has not taken a course so on his record the course is marked as “No”. Once he takes the course we want to update his record but also see that it was marked as “No” on a certain date. Would love help figuring this one out. Thanks!

Hello, When you shared a view via a private link, you can then filter directly within the url. This is really interesting when this is public information to not be forced to create one view for each field you want to make a share view. It just seems filtering with the URL filter_fieldName=value on “lookup field” doesn’t work. It works on every other fields, but not on “lookup field” Does anyone have a solution to fix that please ? I manufacture products, and have a customer that buys several items at once. They are requesting a spreadsheet with one Item and description of each item per row in said spreadsheet. Example: My current base shows the following “3 Pieces of green widgets that weigh 50 pounds each and 3 pieces of red widget that weigh 10 pounds”. The customer is requesting the information to be displayed in a spreadsheet as below green widget 50 pounds green widget 50 pounds green widget 50 pounds red widget 10 pounds red widget 10 pounds red widget 10 pounds Does anyone have a suggestion as how to do this automatically?

I am maintaining a contacts CRM database for my supervisor in Airtable. We imported LinkedIn contacts, however, now with everyone changing jobs, the companies and positions are not updated. I attempted to download the connections from LinkedIn and then do an Import CSV merge so that the contacts can update. Zapier does not have a linkage between LinkedIn and Airtable for this kind of trigger. However, my supervisor has many contacts that have similar last name, first names that are repeated. The Last Name and First Name columns were originally separated, I then tried to combine them with a formula into a new column. When I import the CSV file and try to find the drop down menu for merging, the new 3rd formula column is never available. (I had already formatted the CSV file to have a “Last Name, First Name” column with a space between the comma, etc.) So the CSV cannot find the right columns to merge with. Since there are 1000+ contacts, I did not want to copy and past everything. Is th

Is it possible to access the Base View after clicking on a View only link? In other words, if I send a “View-Only” link in an email blast to people in and outside of my organization, is it possible for a collaborator to click on the view only link and then easily proceed to the same View in the Base? I am thinking of a handy “Go to Full View” button that if clicked checks the users credentials and forwards them to the View in the Base. If this doesn’t exist I’ll move this to Product Suggestions. Hi Airtable community! I am working on a table that inputs schedules for our contractors. Their schedule is then linked to their dedicated record in our database. An issue arises when they schedule for next week before this week due to the sorting of the linked records. I found a way to sort linked records by the week they’re scheduled for by placing said week in the name of the record that we are linking. I can then order these by the week using the Batch Update block. So that solved my problem, now the issue is that the Batch Update block needs to run every time a new record is inputted into the schedule table. In essence, is there any code I can write in the scripting block that will automatically trigger when a new schedule is inputted that will trigger to run the Batch Update block?

My team uses the dedupe block quite a bit. When we open the block, the fields are displayed in a random order. They do not appear in the orderI have them in my table, nor are they in alphabetical order. It would make more sense if they appeared in the same order as they are in the table. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance for your help!

I’d love help on this. Having trouble with the attachments in Airtable at the moment, so I would love to preview the attachments in either a block or open in new tab (not download). Preview URL doesn’t work as the links are not proper format (Jotform/Zapier Uploads) and we would like to preview resumes without downloading to computer. If there is the basics of a script somewhere, I would take that too! I just need a quick save for this one as the attachments aren’t working and it’s holding up processes. We use Airtable for our own campaign planning, but also have partners that use Airtable for various other reasons. They don’t have shared workspaces or bases, but they use the “share” link (see 1st screenshot) to provide visibility into certain views. Screenshot #1: My question: is there a way for me to save their view somewhere in my Airtable home? I have the view bookmarked in my regular web browser, but it would be awesome if there was a place I could store specific shared views somewhere within my workspaces? I know I could do something with blocks or in a different table or something like that, but it would be great if, just like workspace and block organization, there was also somewhere I could save shared Airtable links (see 2nd screenshot). Yesterday 6/4/2020 a new view chooser (not sure what to call it) popped up. It used to be a simple drop down box which worked fine. Now I have this side panel that pops up and stays there. I hate this… I hate all extra mouse clicks, now have have to do extra mouse clicks to hide this. Any way to disable this?

Is it possible to create a new table programmatically When the table reaches 40,000 rows or when a week has gone by? I don’t want to click anything to make it happen. Planning on doing this for a lot of clients. I can do it in google sheets but I’d prefer airtable.

Hi Airtable fam, I’ve tried everything at this point… After banging my head against the wall for a full two days, I decided to stop being a dummy and ask for help. Full disclosure… I am a complete novice on Airtable, having just started to interact with it about a week ago. In essence, what I’m attempting to do is: Retrieve all the records of one table (exercises) Filter by two metrics (match difficulty of the exercise with a “difficulty selector”, + or - 1 on a different table, AND make sure the required equipment for the exercise matches what the user has, again, on a different table.) Paste the RECORD IDs of the exercises that pass the filter into a field in another table (there are usually about 20-30) I’ve been able to get pretty far down the road on my own using Integromat. I have a users table which has a user_id and points field. I have a points_events table which logs each time a user_id receive points for an action I need the points field in the users table to sum the total points associated with that user_id from the records in the points_events table. How can I do this? I need it to be as automatic as possible. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Their must be a way, but I am banging my head trying to figure out formula :frowning: I have a form that asks for First & Last name that goes into an Airtable Grid View, which then is grouped by First & Last Name. Problem is, when someone changes the format or accidentally adds another space when submitting a new form it gets sent to a new group. Example - “John Doe”, " John Doe", "John Doe ", “john doe”, etc… all get sent to different groupings. I am trying to covert all formats to “John Doe”. Thanks for any help!

We need to sporadically export PDFs from our Airtable in order to make these PDFs downloadable by users of our own app. We are using the Page Designer block to create the layouts, but we want an automated solution to export these layouts as PDFs, because the only other way is to “print” the Page Designer block using browser print and then “save as” a PDF. This is time consuming. Currently it looks like the best solution for us is to use the MiniExtension “PDF and Document Generator for Airtable” coupled with Docupilot to be able trigger batch PDF exports: https://miniextensions.com/airtable-generate-pdf/ Please note, this method does not need the Page Designer Block Also, this method will cost hundreds of dollars because we will have thousands of PDFs. Do you agree? Is this the best way? Is there an easier way, perhaps with the Airtable API? Hello, I am new to airtable and i have a challenging task. I am using airtable as a CRM for my business. We want to create a view for records (Leads) with created time between 08:00 PM and 09:00 AM The reason for doing that is because i want to use this view as a trigger for zapier. I could not find any available filter that handle time of the day. I have already created a column that show only time of the day by using the below formula: DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Of Creation}, “LTS”) Please check the image how this data can be used to filter certain time? Is anyone else having an issue/glitch with the Description block, where the curser keeps jumping to the top of the page while you’re typing? It’s very annoying… I hope I am not accidentally hitting a shortcut key, but it keeps happening? I’m using a Lenovo PC.

I have been perusing the community forum and topics trying for hours to create a new date in a field for 6 days out by using a different date field as the base number. For example, I have a field named ‘Lead Mag Date’ where the date is input manually. I would like another field named ‘Day 6 Call’ to automatically populate the correct date for 6 days later. (i.e., Lead Mag Date 7/14/2020; Day 6 Call 7/19/2020. Here is the formula I was trying to create: DATETIME_DIFF({Lead Mag Date}TODAY(),‘days’) + 6, {DAY 6 CALL} = ‘MM/DD/YYYY’) Any suggestions?
