My organization is in the final stages of determining a project management tool to use. While I love everything Airtable has to offer thus far, a critical need for our organization is the ability to have a “portfolio” or “Executive” view of all ongoing projects etc. I know that this can be done within a specific base, such as “project tracker” by using the blocks feature, however, I am curious if this can be done across multiple bases. For example if i wanted to present to a board of all the updates from the last month, i would like an easy to read one page document with visualization to show the number of social media posts alongside all of the ongoing projects at a high level overview. Is there a dashboard view to create a high level overview across all bases? I have provided a sample image of what I am looking for.

What’s the best way to do a simple analysis of data? One of the most basic things I want to do is count the number of records that match a set of filter criteria.

I’d like to use a Kanban style view for assigning categories to items, with the categories being values in another table. The items I want to sort are Organizations, and I want to sort them into career interest areas: e.g. Tech, Government, Design, etc. These Interest Areas are in another table, and are a linked field in the Organizations table. If I group the grid view by Interest Area, I can’t drag and drop the orgs to categorize them. I’d really love to do this in a kanban view - it’s easier to drag and drop items. But when selecting a group by field it doesn’t seem to allow me to use a field from another table, even if I set the field to only allow a one to one relationship. Any other ways to do this that I’m missing?

As the owner of our Airtable database, I get automated email messages when a collaborator adds a record. The message begins with, “Someone has responded to Add a player. A record has been added to the Players table in Directory.” I’ve confirmed that I get those messages when someone adds a record but I don’t know if I get automated email messages when a collaborator updates a record. Can someone here confirm that I should or should not expect to be informed when a collaborator updates an existing record?

Hi there, I have a question about files being deleted from records by an anonymous user. We have our Final Information records, which is made when someone fills out a Final Information Form - in the form people fill out their information and upload files of relevant documentation for us. When a user submits the form, it says “Anonymous submitted via form” since they are not logged in, and it’s not possible for them to edit the form afterwards. But then I can see in the history/timeline on the right side, that files/documents have been deleted with the caption “Anonymous edited this record”. As mentioned, it’s not possible for the person to edit the form after it has been submitted. Can you please help me understand how these files are deleted? It causes a lot of trouble for us since we have to reach out to these people and ask them to send us these documents again. I have attached a screenshot of the timeline. Thank you in advance Emma

Is there a way for the owner of an Airtable database to see a log of collaborator updates? Perhaps a log that shows the date, time, name of the collaborator, table, view used, and the updated that was done?

I have a table with records which contain a STATUS column. I need a Pivot Table to show me the participation percentage of each status in the whole table, but I can’t figure a way to do such a simple thing (at least in other tables/software). Hi everyone, Is there a way to batch update only specific cells within a view? I use CSV Import block to import records for certain properties I’m managing. Each import is many records for one property. I have a view set up for one of many ‘statuses’ that a property could have. When I import, I want all the new records for that property to automatically be set to that status (without having to click and change the cells one by one). I don’t want to have to create a new view for each property that I import and then update the status of the whole view, since there are hundreds of properties and many records per property. I have a Master View that is grouped by property, and I’d love to be able to batch update he status of all the records for one property to a certain status, instead of the whole view.

I posted this also on the Integromat community, but I’m just also sharing here in case anyone has any smart ideas… Q: How to sync Webflow CMS items between Airtable & Webflow via Integromat I have the below scenario in Integromat, which attempts to do the following: Lists all Webflow CMS items in a collection Lists all Airtable items on a page Where the Webflow item ID exists, update the Airtable base with the relevant Webflow details Where the Webflow item doesn’t exist, create the item The ‘update’ function works fine, but I can’t figure out how to get the filter for ‘if ItemID doesn’t exist’ to work properly. It creates multiple versions of the same record. My filter is also attached as a screenshot. Wondering if anyone has a similar scenario set up that they can help with / anyone can provide guidance on how to use Airtable as a CMS like this.

Hello, I’m trying to set up an automated form. Essentially, the employee will input a bunch of data while filling out the form, one of which will be a license plate number. Once they input the form and submit it, I want it to show results from the Base that include the specific license plate they wrote. Is that possible?

For the base I’m using I’d like when people register for the table to auto-populate their IP address. I’ve gone through the formula list and have seen nothing related to this. Is this even possible with airtable or does it require some third party interaction?

Newer user, still learning. I have a base with 3 tables. All three tables are linked. When I send the form to collaborators, they cannot add data to the two other tables (through the form). This base is similar to a CRM, so I am trying to add customers, potential jobs (on a separate table) and contractors (on another table). The Customer Base is the form being sent out, but if the contractor or job isn’t already listed, then it cannot be added through the form. Is there a method to add a contractor or job through the Customer form?

Hello, I’m certain it isn’t possible but it is worth an ask. I am hoping to use Airtable for a moving business which takes an estimation form from the website over to a table. From there I have an Origin Address and a Destination Address which I can easily link to 2 x map views. What would really be an amazing feature for us is to print this job off via the Page Designer Block but with the two maps embedded in the page designer. Basically so we can print a comprehensive job sheet with all details plus the 2 x map views. I have tried to find a way but am at the point thinking it isn’t possible, is this the case or can someone suggest a way to implement this? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi everyone, Is there anyway to make one-to-many relationship kind of master-slave relationship? What I mean by master-slave here is making one table master and the other slave so if someone deletes a record in the master table, related records in the slave table would be automatically deleted. How do they take the shared form link I email them and have it installed on their IOS device as an app-let for daily submissions? Has anyone gotten multi-select field to work in Formnano. My airtable field is multi-select, when I set the formnano field to multi-select I get an error #422. I also have no way to populate the field options in formnano.
