Hello Airtable family, I’ve previously explored how to sort the linked records, finding the best approach was a manual sort using the ‘Batch Update Block.’ The purpose was so that when using our Airtable-based ordering system, when we clicked a customer record in the customer table, it would show linked orders sorted with the most recent orders at the top. As I’m not the only one entering orders, it’s become a bit tedious and/or unreliable to use this method. I’m looking for a way to do it programmatically, either with an automation, scripting, or using even using Integromat. In theory, I’m thinking the best approach might be an automation script that only triggers when a customers ‘linked orders’ array changes, though not sure how to set that up with views, triggers, ect. I can likely figure out the script part from pseudo code. Any suggestions or ideas to try, I’m all ears! (Or, eyes…?) Kris

Hi! I’m working on two separate base for my organization: the first manages the order, and the second the tracking and payment process. With the sync tables I’m able to get the tables from the order in the second base for the planning and processing of the shipment and payments . But I’m encountering a problem: there are some lookup fields about quantities that I need to process as number on the second base. The synced table show them as text, so the lookup on the tracking table it is also showing them as text, but I can’t modify the format to a number. I’ve also already tried to add another field with a VALUE() formula, but it gives an #ERROR! and doesn’t evaluate the text into a number. Any idea how to proceed? Many thanks, Claudio

Can we generate a sharable link to a List View the same way we share Grid View? I don't see the "Share View" button on my list view.

I have two date fields that sync from an Outlook calendar. Because most events on that calendar are full-day events, they have an end time of 11:59 PM. This is what it looks like with "include time" selected:...and this is what it looks like toggled off.I reviewed this similar question, where it turned out to be a time zone issue, but that doesn't apply here as the time zone settings aren't accessible if you don't show the time. I'd prefer to hide the times for the sake of tidiness/reducing visual clutter. Is there a way to fix the rounding issue without creating a separate formula field?

Hi there I have this formula below where I need to also round up by 5 or round down by 5 ( e.g. 4556, to 45560 or 2333 to 2335) ({Original Price AED} * (100 - Discount)) / 100 Could anyone please advise how I integrate the round formula within the above formula? Thanks, Nathalie

I have the same question from the individual with the post I am referencing that is closed but never answered. I would like to set up a gallery view where the user is directed to the link without having to open the card. Any ideas out there? Gallery view link directly from the card, without showing the popup (and requiring extra click on URL)

I just wonder can I use my data table in Airtable to link with my application? I mean I want to do SQL query to Data in Airtable and get some attributes and push it to the CRM tool attached to my Application. Is it possible to do these actions? 

Looking to build some QC tracking logs which would have paper inspection reports from the field as PDF attachments. Ideally I would like for the field inspectors to upload their daily inspection reports via a form which would then notify our QC manager that has he reports to review. He needs to be able to open up the PDF and markup/check off/make notes/annotate various pages before approving or rejecting the report. I do not think this is natively supported (yet, boo, seems pretty useful) but is there a reasonable workflow to make this happen? Overall I am dealing with some fairly non tech savvy folks (construction), but would like to both get better visibility on the process as well as make the process as easy as possible for them. Any thoughts?

I'm looking for a way to communicate shift assignments to hundreds of individuals who are not members of my base. I use Airtable to manage poll workers. For their work assignments, I integrate Airtable with Make.com. When a staff member offers an assignment to someone, Make.com compiles data from multiple tables into an email.Each assignment has a set schedule. Schedule details have been included in the email in a bulleted list. The source for that list is a long text field with RTF enabled. The schedule descriptions are often complicated and a list is not the best way to display the info. I'd like to incorporate a separate Shifts table that can be linked to the assignments. This would allow much more specificity in describing the work schedule. Ideally, this is what I would like to get out of this, and I'm not sure the best way to go about it:In the initial offer email, clearly list all of the shifts that the person would be required

Hello!I realize that Airtable most likely wants to push forms to be built via Interfaces, but of course, many forms have already been built by users in the standard table views. When going to a form view within the table (not Interface), we get a popup window that states the form has been upgraded and then two buttons: "Edit Form View," which lets us edit in the old form view option within the table, or "Go to form builder," which takes us to the interface version. The user responsible for this base is not interested in using the Interface version at this time and so they click "Edit form view." However, what is annoying is that every time the form view from the table is brought up, the popup has to be cleared yet again.We understand that there are two ways to approach this form now. The interface version hasn't been touched and is not shared, while the older version is linked to and shared.Is there something we'r

Bar graphs are super useful at looking on your data. Often, a 100% bar graph is really needed to compare categories.In this example, I'm comparing the effectiveness of different messages. Currently, as each message type was sent a different number of times, a precise comparison is not fully visible. If the graph was a 100% graph, the comparison would be obvious and easy. This is why Google Looker studio and other products are offering 100% bar graph and not just the regular bar graph.Attached is the bar graph from my example, and a (random) 100% bar graph.

HI there–this question has come up before but there has been no useful reply from Airtable. Seems like several people would find very useful the ability to remove the “view larger” link from web site embeds. This option takes users away from one’s web site and also I have a private group so I don’t want people outside the group sharing the table with anyone. Can the “view larger” link be disabled? I am a pro member and I’m surprised this is not part of the customization option. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm an AirTable newbie but I have some experience in web development. I'm trying to use REST API to implement table which has a server-side pagination. This means I can't preload all the results to get the pagination parameters like total count. Usually, the API endpoint which returns the records would have this parameter. Unfortunately it doesn't exist so I'm wondering how to do this properly without fetching all the results on FE beforehand. Thanks for the help !

Hello, im a long time Airtable User.I can't accept the fact that in order to change the start day of the calendar week it is necessary to change the browser language! I need an easier and more practical alternative, like a button to click: week starts on Monday...I've read several threads with other people complaining about the same problem and it still hasn't been resolved. I imagine it's something simple to resolve, I'm waiting for the solution.

I Just tried Airtable Share View Sync option. Comments in the sourced are not synced to the new table. Is there some workaround or option to achieve this? As I need comments also to be synced into new table.

Hello, I am new to airtable. I need help with records. I have created 1250 records in my table even though i am on freeplan. I am not sure if i should add more rows records or not? 

I've been using AT for a few years now and have begun to really use the automation and other tools that make it easy to share info with others outside of my organization.One thing that continues to happen is I send a note via the Send Record option from a grid which includes all the pertinent info the recipient needs. But at the bottom of each email it also has a link "view in airtable." Clients are now trying to click it and gain access to our base, which is not needed for them to see the info (its all in the email).... Is there a way to remove the "view in airtable" link that automatically appears?(PS - I'm doing this as an ad-hoc manual task, not an automation) 

Hoping this is an easy enough set-up! I’m trying to create volunteer sign-ups for specific events, where there will be a fixed list of approved volunteers that can sign-up (so they would select their name from a linked field). Aside from manually closing out the form after a certain number of sign-ups, is there a way to indicate that we have 10 slots available and turn it off after that time?

My first post! This community has been very helpful. I’m still fairly new to airtable and hope someone can help with this problem. I have a Google Sheet with a date field, a start time field, and a stop time field. I want to import it into a table with 2 fields: {date and start time} and {stop time}. I tried to join fields in google sheets, then upload, but it only uploads the date correctly, and the time is ‘12:00am’. I’ve tried different date/time formats, but that hasn’t worked, and made the problem worse in some cases. For example it only works with the 12 hr format, when I tried 24 hour, neither the date nor time uploaded. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
