The "revision history" of records is great, but it has its limitations.  If you're using the free version of Airtable for example, you only get 2 weeks' worth of revision history.  It also logs absolutely every change made to a record by anyone, which can become difficult to sift through if your base is complicated and has multiple collabators.As a workaround for this, I've started using automations to log particular changes I want to monitor, by simply using the NOW() function as a datestamp that's pasted into a long text field each time the actions I want to log are taken.  The automation takes the contents of the {Change log} field and copies it back into itself each time along with the new datestamp and notes of actions taken.  So what you're left with is a running tally of certain actions within each field.Another advantage of this is that, because the change log is actually a field within a base, which the revision history is not, you can disp

Using Airtable and Zapier, I am trying to link uploaded photos in an email.For example, we are using Airtable as our backend system and once a job is complete we upload photos of the completed job, is there a way to link this attachment field to use in an outbound email?I assumed I could use this link in the Zapier / Email automation:  However this link doesn't work: Any help would be appreciated. Currently we have sent the files from AirTable to Google Drive and using the shared link from there, however Google Drive uploads all of AirTables attachments in a zip folder so it shares it as a zip.

I want to display the task to fix bugs and other tasks in kanban views for easily tracking and unite all the tasks: x-axis will be the type of our tasks, and y-axis will be the status of each tasks. However, it seems like Kanban view doesn't allow to setup with multi-selection so could you guys give me an idea to set up them on Kanban or Interface/Gantt chart to display all the tasks?

To all Airtable employees, I kindly urge you to consider going back to your old homescreen design. The new homepage is terrible - it's confusing, disorganized, and requires too many clicks to access my workbases. The previous version was much simpler and easier to use. Please listen to your users and bring back the user-friendly interface we loved

I am unable to find any 'Duplicate Base' option in my base dropdown (accessed by clicking the three dots). The only option available is 'Slack Notification.' What steps can I take to troubleshoot this issue?

Hello,I'm recording international transport orders in Airtable, which require an origin and destination location at the city level. I have linked tables with cities, states/provinces, and countries, just like the CRM template by AirTable. When using a form view directly on the base table, I just add the City and the picker will display the related states and countries.  I also created a form as an interface, but the city picker won't show other fields from the City table. Is there a way to show other data associated with the City when selecting it in an Interface form?

Hello all,I have a database with a list of records representing people that are uploaded every month with new people coming in and people going out.Each record (people) is assigned to a group of 5 people to share ideas and experience. I did the first repartition where People (ie records) are assigned to specific group but I am stumbling on the automation of the process.The idea is that now, every time someone is coming in, I can automaticaly update its record with the group he or she is assigned to (meaning assigned to the first group with less than 5 people in it).I tried numerous formulas and automations without success...did anyone have any suggestion on how I could do so ?Thanks for your help !Paul

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this or not. I highly recommend that anyone who is in need of an art proofing solution or a document approval solution checks out Onalu. I was surpised at how long I had to look for a solution for proofing art, I thought would have been previously developed! Hello allmy group have access to two forms in a base. Usually, they have to go to the base then the form and click on Open form. For four days now the Open form tab has disappeared for all users except the collaborators who have admin access. So the title of the form is still visible for them but they can't open it through the tab and have access to the form. I have attached evidence, one example of the interface for normal users and one for the admins. Can you please help me fix it
