Hello everyone, love your app! Here's a quick suggestion, which might be fast to implement. Sometimes the column name has three or four words, and it's content is just a checkbox or a two-digit number. Could it be that we change the height of the column names, and maybe even word-wrap for it to be as compressed as possible? It could be a single select from one, two, or three rows for the headers, or have it with word-wrap by default. Something like this: -- Includes prime vid YES -- This would be really helpful to show clear information and maximize column space. Thanks!

What is the proposed idea/solution? We would love it if we could automatically set all Bases in a workspace to a single, non-UTC default time zone. It may also be helpful for other users to be able to set individual Bases, or all fields in an individual Table. How does this solve the user problems? For users with many bases, that each have many tables, which each have many fields, it is tedious to fix time zone errors manually. Being able to set a global time zone option would dramatically speed up workflow for anyone who uses Calendar Views that port data in from several different Bases. Who is the target audience? Workspace management end users.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ... A new feature that transposes the Rows and Columns of a View. How does is solve the user problems? ... It is useful to transpose the Rows and Columns of a Table for for viewing and / or calculations. In Airtable it is more efficient to create Records for time rather than Fields (e.g. each Row is a unit of Time like a Week, Month, Quarter, Year, etc. and not the column). The ability to see each unit of Time as a column moving from left to right is standard practice. How was this validated? ...This is a core feature to all spreadsheet applications. Who is the target audience? ...All Users

What is the proposed idea/solution? For date or time-dependent charts such as n over time (for example, sales over time), it's useful to have an option to compare the chart for a specific range. Similar to how Shopify's analytics chart works: Either Airtable has a toggle option to show/hide a comparison preset, or interface users can customize the comparison range on their own. For example: there's a line chart for tracking website sessions (y-axis, sum) over time (x-axis, month) the data records from January 2022 to October 2023 At the moment, the Airtable interface can only show a flat line from January 2022 to October 2023, but it would be simpler to only show January to December 2023 (the line ends in October since there's no data yet for November and December 2023) and toggle a comparison overlay on top of the chart by showing data from January to December 2022. How does this solve the user problems? At the moment, the best way to do this is to have multiple aligned charts and compare them side-by-side. However, this comparison chart overlay allows users to quickly gauge metrics over time using the same chart. Is the number weaker during the same month but different year? You'll easily see it on the hills and valleys of the chart. Much better if we could customize the line/thickness/opacity/color of the overlay chart as well as the ability to set a benchmark. How was this validated? Taking advantage of data bucketing by weeks, months, years, etc. Who is the target audience? Analysts. Interface users. People who like charts.

We are currently consolidating our style guide in Airtable. It would be of great help if a new HEX field and a new COLOR field were introduced to use as a design color for fields, text, shapes or backgrounds in interfaces. The new COLOR field would then display the color of a selected HEX field, both in tables as in interfaces. Along that same line it would be great if Admins could define global HEX colors for the entire workspace, so these colors can be used to brand the user experience for everyone. These custom colors would then show up as a custom color list everywhere in Airtable, where colors can be used/selected.

Our beloved platform seems to ignore thousand of users and so we are still struggling with numbers and the use of comma instead of dot for decimals. To do that, we have to literally TRIPLE the number fields. Even though many have asked for it, we still miss printing an interface. Of course they also ignore many users that need a multi page designer !!! These 3 requests are not new! The first one dates back the first years of this platform. They don't even have an answer for that ! They just ignore us I'd appreciate if I could: Have a Global Field for each table Had more possibilities to edit the text in an Interface (for example: align text) Guys if none of these are scheduled to be fixed then I kindly ask the co-users suggestions for other platforms - data bases.

What is the proposed idea/solution? A Project Archive Feature to make it easy to 'deactivate and hide a project when certain criteria are met. An archived project would be grayed-out, hidden completely everywhere in the base or moved into an Archive Table. It would no longer affect any rollups or calculated fields. To make it active again, the user goes to Archive settings, click 'Show Archived Projects' then changes the criteria back to active. How does is solve the user problems? Current solutions only hide the project from view. it is still active and you need to consciously filter it from view everywhere in the base. Or you need to manually copy the project to an Archive table and delete from active which is tedious. How was this validated? No validation has been performed. Who is the target audience? Project managers with multiple projects that have a lot of fields/data. Their organization is known to pause or cancel a project and re-activate it again at a later date. Or they simply want to save old projects for reference.

Would be nice if we could have a way to manually sync a synced base from within an interface - I've designed interfaces for all our team's workflow's, but if you edit data in another base you still need to manually go to the table right click on the name, and click sync, then go back and wait. This is a pretty cluttered workflow to just get updates. Would be even better if there was two-way sync (edit on either side of the sync) and/or constant automatic syncing, but in lieu of those features this would be nice.

User/collaborator fields are kind of a hot mess. It shows 100% of all users, including deactivated users, as options to select. What is the point of user groups if we can't make this a feature to limit options based on a user group? This would allow us to setup multiple user fields for a project and allow each team to manage their team assignments, with only a list of those options on their teams. Then using kanban or timeline view, you would be able to see only the lanes/groups of those in your team for workload balance, etc. Currently when a user selects a user field, they see 100's of users to choose from. And even worse, in a kanban view they see lanes for all 100's of users. Not even an option to limit by only users with projects assigned. So unless you have an extremely small number of collaborators the kanban view is useless for using collaborator field.

hey, Linked fields populated by formula !!!!!! I think it's so obvious and self-explanatory for everyone that has ever dealt with relational databases. this is a feature needed for yesterday, it just makes no sense we need to use all those workarounds and automations to get there, and although product is already so advance this is still not available :((
