Just to ensure I'm using the jargon correctly, I believe an 'Interface' is a groups of 'Pages' -- with that out of the way, I wonder if it would be relatively 'low hanging fruit' to offer the ability to move a Page to another Interface within the same Base? Why would you want to do this? The Enterprise plan has granular permissions that control which Interfaces can be accessed by which users/groups. A Page in an interface might be useful to multiple groups, but that doesn't mean I want multiple groups to have access to the entire Interface. This results in having to re-create Pages in different Interfaces that have the appropriate permission settings. A function to move a Page to a different Interface (within the same Base of course) would be a significant 'quality of life' improvement and time-saver in this situation. It could live in the page's '...' menu (see screenshot)

I think it is time for Airtable to add recursive capabilities to data inside a table. I know it is challenging to implement, but the workaround users have been doing are truly not delivering the intentions and expected experience. It just feels limited not to be able to create subtasks, goals and subgoals, accounting systems, etc. There are so many ideas that would be finally unlocked and it would definitely take Airtable to a whole new level!

I think it’s insane that there’s no way to group your bases within a workspace. It’s just a big ol’ base dump that grows more unwieldy by the day. All I want is to organize these by folders. Has someone figured this out yet??

It would be an amazing tool to be able to embed a link using the URL field. Aesthetically, it it more pleasing and it's more clear to someone reading the link what they are clicking on.

What is the proposed idea/solution? To add a configuration to the List and Grid elements on Interfaces that allows us to transpose the data in the source table. This enables us to present financial data in conventional way where Months, Quarters or Years are column headers in the interface presentation while the data is tied together in rows in the database (for calculations etc). How does is solve the user problems? It extends the usability of Interfaces to enable conventional financial table views. How was this validated? This transposed view is the industry norm when viewing financial data for months / quarters / years. Who is the target audience? Interface users, specifically those that want to include financial overview as part of their interface dashboards.

This feature would be useful for businesses and organizations that need to temporarily disable form submissions for maintenance, during periods of high traffic or when responses can not be accepted due to a specific workfloy/company necessity. Here's how this feature might work: First, the user would need to create a new form or select an existing form within Airtable. Then, they could choose to enable the form scheduling feature for that form. Next, the user would be able to specify the start and end dates and times during which the form should be disabled. The user would also have the option to add a custom message that would be displayed to users who try to access the form during the disabled period. For example, the message might say "We apologize for the inconvenience, but this form is temporarily unavailable. Please check back after [end date and time]." After the disabled period has ended, the form would automatically become active again and users would be able to access and submit it as usual. This feature would be especially useful for businesses and organizations that need to periodically disable form submissions for maintenance or during busy periods, such as holiday sales or seasonal promotions. By giving users more control over when and how forms are displayed, Airtable would help ensure a smoother and more efficient workflow.

Linked Records are currently limited to a single table per column in another table. But I’d like to combine records from 2 or more tables into a single column in an additional table. In other words, polymorphic relationships. What I’d like to Do I have a table of Client A’s Products and a table of Client B’s Products. They need to be combined into a Products column on a third table, Employee Assignments. Both product tables store data very differently, so combining them into a single table would result in an excessively wide and long Products table. Instead, the two client tables are left as is, and the Employee Assignment’s “Products” column is made polymorphic to accommodate both clients’ data. Workaround Barring added features, I can create a junction table of Clients Products where each client gets their own column. The problem is that Clients Products will inevitably become pretty wide as lookups & formulas are added over time. Each client products table will require their own columns for the linked product and lookups. And there will need to be a number of formulas to combine those products & lookups before passing them neatly along to Employee Assignments.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Enable a staging/pre-prod environment for bases, and their associated interfaces and data. The solution should allow each base to be logically linked to a pre-prod base, with two-way syncing that is fired manually. Changes made in pre-prod should be easily pushed to prod, which would include adding/removing/editing: fields & attributes (e.g. name, formula, links, etc.) tables & attributes interfaces data (to allow for data staging and cleaning, especially for ETL/ELT purposes) data syncs should be optional, and provide the option to either completely overwrite or merge with existing data How does is solve the user problems? This allows users to make changes to either base structures, logic, or interfaces without affecting live / production data and interfaces. How was this validated? Staging and Prod environments are best practice in any development process. Who is the target audience? Everyone who values data integrity.

It would be great to be able to select mulitple objects in the Page designer block. I’ve just created a layout that needs everything shifting by a few nudges. I’m currently moving things one by one. Any work arounds?

A simple idea: what if linked records could be colored? The conditions in the linked table would determine the color of the record. This would help counteract one of the many conundrums of having to choose between linked records and multi / single select fields. What do you think?
