Currently, the button field allows you to run an extension script. I have to maintain separate automation and extension script that performs the same actions. Would be ideal to be able to run an automation like interface buttons do. Support for multiple triggers would also be helpful. For example, I could have a trigger for when a record meets certain conditions and a button trigger whenever manual execution is desired. An automation script where I think this would be useful is one that creates or updates a record/object in a third party system.

Often users type up their notes, meeting agendas, tasks etc into a Long Text field using Rich Text formatting. The Records Comments field is often a target for copy/paste from that field, especially with Comments Element being so prominent within Interfaces. However, upon copying/pasting Rich Text from a Long Text field into the record Comments, all Markdown formatting is lost. It's most frustrating - and to be honest I expect Comments to support such an action. Here's my Rich Text data; And here's the same data copy/pasted into Comments - note how the Markdown formatting is lost.

What is the proposed idea/solution? When designing interfaces, if I create a button to create new records, the form does not allow for new options in single-select fields. I know there are workarounds, but a better idea is just to give designers the option via a toggle when in the "Edit pages" designer for forms. This toggle already exists in Interface Designer, (screenshot attached). Please include it for when designing forms within Interfaces. How does is solve the user problems? Makes users' lives easier. Enhances Airtable's capabilities. Currently they have to do workaround that involve multiple steps, and I'd rather not make a process take 3 steps when 1 would do. How was this validated? ? Who is the target audience? Everyone using the Interface forms.

What is the proposed idea/solution? A feature that lets you group fields by context. As simple as that. Above is an extreme mvp, but i guess it should be something in that path. How does is solve the user problems? It would help creators manage fields when a table gets huge (in columns). It would be easier for anyone to better understand the table schema. How was this validated? I am using Airtable in my team with a lot of people getting to know the base and sometimes it is overwhelming for them to process every column in their minds. It is not visual and I had to do it outside to show them. I know it could be viewed as many 1:1 relations, so one could say "the user should create new tables". OK, but then there are some problems If the user needs to access those info in the table (for filters, calculations or interface designing, lets say) it would have to lookup these fields - the problem would still exist. Who is the target audience? I think every member on a team with creators that are heavy users.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Reading through the available rollup field formulas, I'm surprised there's no Mode() or Median() available for use. https://support.airtable.com/docs/rollup-field-reference How does is solve the user problems? Mode and Median are a staple in 6th grade mathematics, and I can't even begin to summarise how they solve countless user problems that they're used for. The target audience is anyone working with a rollup field wanting to quickly extract mode and medium data from their linked record array. In my current example, I have a Rollup containing several dates, and I need the most common date - IE, the mode(values) needs to return the date that occurs most often within the array. mode(["2023-01-09" , "2023-01-09", "2023-01-08" , "2023-01-09"]) returns "2023-01-09", similarly how max() returns 2023-01-09 and min() returns 2023-01-08. So importantly, Mode() needs to work not only on numbers and integers, but also dates as well - or possibly even strings. For example, a Rollup mode(values) of ["Dog", "Dog", "Dog", "Cat", "Dog", "Cat", "Cat", "Dog", "Mouse"] returns "Dog".

What is the proposed idea/solution? An extra Action for the Button Field inside a table (not in the interface), where we can select "Run an Automation" How does is solve the user problems? At the moment there is no direct way to run a simple automation from a button field. it only works on buttons in interfaces. How was this validated? The press of the button should also "pass" the record ID to the automation, so any automation ran can use the record ID to specifically work on a record. Who is the target audience? This is useful for everybody who wants to use the button field in day to day simple operations.

In my team's usage of Airtable, we have a lot of different fields going through a lot of changes over time. On multiple occasions I've had to dig through a record's revision history, clicking Show more multiple times to get far enough to find the history that I need. In order to find a single field's history, I have to expand each of the history segments, then use ctrl+F to search the name of the field, and then click through each result to see the history I'm looking for. I would love a filter mechanism in the Revision history where users could select a specific field from their table, and the Revision history would be limited to showing only the changes made to that field.

What is the proposed idea/solution? If an email field is set to required on a form, the form should not allow the user to submit unless there is a valid (properly formatted) email address entered into the field. How does is solve the user problems? It allows form users to fix issues before submitting a form with invalid data. It helps the form owner ensure that the incoming data is correct. It makes it more likely that the form owner will be able to contact form users and e.g. send confirmation emails. How was this validated? People are expressing their frustration about the lack of this issue on a number of different threads in the Airtable forums. Who is the target audience? People creating sign-up forms or any form where the form submitter might need to be contacted as a result of submitting their info.

Hello everyone, love your app! Here's a quick suggestion, which might be fast to implement. Sometimes the column name has three or four words, and it's content is just a checkbox or a two-digit number. Could it be that we change the height of the column names, and maybe even word-wrap for it to be as compressed as possible? It could be a single select from one, two, or three rows for the headers, or have it with word-wrap by default. Something like this: -- Includes prime vid YES -- This would be really helpful to show clear information and maximize column space. Thanks!

What is the proposed idea/solution? I propose that we could have an option to allow zeros at the beginning of a number in the number field How does is solve the user problems? In my case, this allows me to manage French postal codes without having to use a text field. Which avoids entry errors in forms for example How was this validated? I don't understant Who is the target audience? for what I know, the French who wish to manage postal codes, but in my opinion a much wider audience, because this only adds a modularity which many will benefit fro
