What is the proposed idea/solution? My proposed idea, I suggest for create the date option more can write in multi choose. How does is solve the user problems? They can use whatever the local country use for clear date and type of date they want. How was this validated? Have our users to select the kind of date they want and can creative by themself to be used in their origination. Who is the target audience? Mostly for project management and timeline template.

What is the proposed idea/solution? FieldArray() - A function to use within the Formula Field that allows for the concatenation of all fields values, with each entry separated by a comma. ReplaceLast() - A method that replaces the last matched character in a string, so for example, the last comma can be replaced with a more desirable string. How does is solve the user problems? It's incredible just how overly complex a formula needs to be to cater for what is simply concatenated field values that need to be separated by a comma. Take these fields for example; "Colour A" "Colour B" "Colour C" And the first record has red, green and blue. Using FieldArray(), we could do this within a formula; FieldArray({Colour A},{Colour B},{Colour C}) Which would return: "red, green, blue" Then, for example, we could do this; ReplaceLast( FieldArray({Colour A},{Colour B},{Colour C}), ", ", " and ") The result being; "red, green and blue" Or perhaps; ReplaceLast( FieldArray({Colour A},{Colour B},{Colour C}), ", ", " or ") "red, green or blue" Who is the target audience? Anyone who's tried to concatenate many fields together thinking it would be a two second job, only to find themselves entering some kind of nested formula hell.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Give Admins/Creators the ability to adjust the Search Index(or provide multiple indices?) for a record so that when you are linking another record to it, you can more easily find the record you are looking for. ... How does is solve the user problems? Currently, it only uses the record’s primary key as the search term, which sometimes leads me to create a "Search Terms" (or Label) field (formula-type) as the record Key, concatenating other fields to enhance search-ability. There has to be a better way that doesn’t force hacky behavior like this. ... How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? Anyone wanting to streamline record linking ...

Hi, From time to time we see posts from new users trying to use lookup field in formula. And I remember my first time issue with that when I just learned to use Airtable . Of course, info about lookup field behavior in formula can be found by search, but when you encounter this problem, it's hard to detect that problem related to field type. Yesterday, when I tried to create a formula against Attachment field, using its URL, I saw the warning - that due to 08 Nov 2022 file storage policy changes, my formula may be malfunctional after some time, with a link to support article and checkbox 'Don't show again' . Maybe it should be implemented for a lookup fields as well? For experienced users, seeing warning once and check 'Don't show again' is not a big problem.

What is the proposed idea/solution? I use Airtable as my Goal tracker, I have several tabs (from left to right) which are 2023 Goals, Quarterly Goals, Monthly Goals, Weekly Goals, and Daily Tasks. Each tab is linked to the next one. For example, 2023 Goals is linked to Quarterly Goals, Quarterly Goals is linked to Monthly Goals, Monthly Goals is linked to Weekly Goals...etc. Whenever I'm done with one task on Daily Tasks, it means that my 2023 Goals, Quarterly Goals, Monthly Goals, Weekly Goals are all in progress. However, the bigger the goal is, the more tasks it will have. For example, 2023 Goals may have 2 Quarterly Goals linked, 3 Monthly Goals linked, 5 Weekly Goals linked, and 8 Daily Tasks linked. They are all connected, so it will be a lot easier for me to track if everything I'm doing stays align to my 2023 Goals. Therefore, it will be great if there is a Progression Bar/Progress Percentage shows the completion rate of the ultimate goal when this ultimate goal is linked to one another. How does is solve the user problems? Easier for everyone to track their progress Who is the target audience? Project manager, project tracker, individual user

I would like to be able to add a field that includes attributes of the collaborators entered within a "user" or "created by" or "last modified by" type of field. For example if George is entered as a collaborator in a field in table X of base Y and George belongs to a user admin group called "Sales" I would like to look up the user group George belongs to and automatically show it in another field of the same entry in table X of base Y.

When a Lookup Field is configured to return either a Single Select or Multiple Select field, a count Field fails to allow the count of the returned values. In the screenshot below, Count should allow the return of the number, 3, 4 and 2. A current workaround of a Rollup Field seems to work, but it's not as convenient/easy to setup as a designated Count field could be - and may bring a performance hit on larger tables.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Use AI or such like to 'translate' questions that involve a Formula into instant solutions without having to learn/decipher the language of Formula. For example, say I want a formula that will display from at least 5 fields: Joe is coming to lunch at 2.21pm on 1 January 2023 which is in 4 days time. Instead of having to work out how to join the text, ensure that 2.21 doesn't need ROUND to be certain of 2 decimal places, and a formula for calculating the number of day from any given date, one would simply enter in a formula field: Joe is coming to lunch at 2.21pm on 1 January 2023 which is in 4 days time Behind-the-scenes AT would convert the question into the answer. the user wouldn't then have faff around with " and ( and, { etc ) " before being able to get on with whatever. (Long ago I invented a method of counselling for resolving (permanently) deep-seated psychological and emotional problems in about an hour and a half. I worked on the principle that people generally want answers on a plate and that a therapist should not expect clients to have to do all the hard work merely because the therapist might have spent months perhaps years of study to reach the stage at which the therapist's advice would be worth taking. I am not a therapist, at least not in the popular sense of the word but had I wanted to launch the method into a proper business rather than just something to do in my spare time I am told that the method could have put vast numbers of counsellors and psychotherapists out of business. With AT you have a superb product which would become excellent if instead of focussing on the superficial stuff more effort were put into transforming the hidden depths into simple to understand and equally easy to implement solutions.) How does is solve the user problems? The user would know that any question asked would be answered in a way that the user can understand. How was this validated? My experience transformed into an aopportunity for your business.

It would be awesome if Airtable’s formula engine could recognize “curly quotes” as the same thing as "straight quotes". When editing formulas on mobile web browsers, curly quotes are the default. And, when copying and pasting formulas that have curly quotes from other places — such as this forum, which changes quotes to curly quotes outside of a code block, or rich-text editing apps which change quotes — the formulas won’t work upon pasting them into Airtable. There have been multiple times where I have been scratching my head in confusion over a “seemingly-perfect formula” that doesn’t work properly, but it is actually failing because the quotes are curly.
