We use a Snowflake integration on an enterprise plan and would really like to have a more frequent automatic refresh time (every 3 hours ideally) other than the 6 hour refresh time. Our data in Snowflake updates roughly every hours so the 6 hour refresh defeats the functionality of getting the data we need quickly throughout the work day. The data sets we pull from are quite large so manually refreshing the data sometimes causes the integration to break if multiple API requests are made at the same time, so I would much rather use the automatic refresh feature than the manual option.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Currently, automations from bases don't activate if that base hasn't been used in a while, unless those bases have automations which are timed. This creates a problem if there are bases which have synced tables from other bases which haven't been used in a while, so the automations don't fire, even if the data syncs at regular intervals. This means that any data in those synced tables which might be modified by these automations aren't updated as they should be, as the automations aren't firing. It makes sense to me that the bases which have tables synced to other bases should automatically 'wake' when their synced tables are synced to ensure any data in those synced tables is synced. Currently, I use an automation on a timer to automatically wake the base, which is fine, but that also contributes to my automation limits, which is not ideal. How does is solve the user problems? This would prevent data which relies on automations to stay up-to-date does not get outdated because of a sleeping base. How was this validated? I have a table synced from another base which updates it's data every hours. This synced table goes out-of-date after a while even if the destination base has been regularly active. Who is the target audience? Probably business-enterprise users who rely on up-to-date data from synced tables.

Security, sustainability, traceability and file management headaches would be significantly reduced if a file existed in one place, under a single corporate entity, with a single set of permissions and shared across SAAS integrations. It would be awesome if a file in Box could be published into an Airtable attachment field in an airtable record without copying it into the Airtable tenant and consuming storage. If a Box link were dragged into an Airtable attachment field and dropped, could Airtable interrogate the file permissions in Box to see if it is allowed? If so, present the thumbnail provided by Box as a preview. Click on the link, and it provides the Box preview as it does today and download capability. If the user's Box login could authenticate download, that would be amazing. Allowing the API to establish the link would be essential. Sustainability +++ Security +++ Ease of use +++

What is the proposed idea/solution? I would like linked records to be synced between tables in both directions. For example, I have one base that contains campaigns and another one that contains products. Products are linked to campaigns in the products base and while I can also link them in the synced product table in the campaigns base, I cannot make edits in the campaigns base on them. How does is solve the user problems? Allow edits on linked records between two-way synced tables. How was this validated? It's a big use case within our company to facilitate collaboration and increase workspeed while maintaining proper rights distribution. Who is the target audience? Everyone working with synced tables.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...when changing the name of a Field in a Synced Table, the updated name should also be Synced. This would likely require a feature, whereby a Synced Field and a local Field can have the same name without a conflict. This should not be a problem, because it's easy to determine what is synced field vs local due to the lightning bolt icon. How does is solve the user problems? ...without this feature, any changes to a Field Name are not propagated to other Synced Tables. This causes confusion. How was this validated? ...Try changing the field name of a Synced Table and find out! It's frustrating. Who is the target audience? ...all users who use Synced Tables.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ... A new feature that transposes the Rows and Columns of a View. How does is solve the user problems? ... It is useful to transpose the Rows and Columns of a Table for for viewing and / or calculations. In Airtable it is more efficient to create Records for time rather than Fields (e.g. each Row is a unit of Time like a Week, Month, Quarter, Year, etc. and not the column). The ability to see each unit of Time as a column moving from left to right is standard practice. How was this validated? ...This is a core feature to all spreadsheet applications. Who is the target audience? ...All Users

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...A feature that allows the User to change the Sync Source, similar to a Single Select drop down. This moves the record to the desired Source. How does is solve the user problems? ...Without this feature, a User would need to manually delete the Record form the Sync Source, and add it to the desired Source. Who is the target audience? ...All Users who need the ability to move Records to various Synced Sources.

How does is solve the user problems? ...In order to make modifications to a Sync Source, the User must go to the Table Drop Down > Update Sync Configuration to get a link to the Source Table. Options include Adding Records to the Current Table OR selecting a Synced Table to Add Records (must pick one table).
