What is the proposed idea/solution? The proposed idea is to allow admin users of enterprise accounts to create dynamic sharing groups on Airtable based on the records in a particular view in a base. This would allow teams to share specific Airtable Base or views with specific people, without having to manually entering and deleting names in each Airtable group every time a new employee is added to the team or removed from the team. For example, HR could create a view of all the employees in Team A. Now there should also be an Airtable group created labelled 'Team A'. Also whenever there is addition or removal of employees in the team, the Airtable Group should be updated on its own. This makes the task of HR and the team leads easier. ... How does is solve the user problems? Dynamic sharing groups would solve a number of user problems, including: Reduced manual work: Currently, users have to manually create a new share for each record that they want to share. This can be time-consuming and error-prone. Dynamic sharing groups would eliminate the need for manual sharing, saving users time and effort. Improved data security: Dynamic sharing groups would allow users to share specific records with specific people, without having to share the entire base. This would improve data security by reducing the number of people who have access to sensitive data. Increased collaboration: Dynamic sharing groups would make it easier for users to collaborate on data. For example, a team of sales representatives could use dynamic sharing groups to share leads with each other, so that they can all work together to close deals. ... How was this validated? We brainstormed and came up with this idea based on the problems faced by the members in our team. There is no validation of this idea but could be a great addition to Airtable for many others. ... Who is the target audience? Specific to education institutes: Dynamic sharing groups would be a valuable feature for education institutes. For example, an education institute could use dynamic sharing groups to: Share student records with teachers and staff. Share class rosters with students and parents. Share assignment results with students and parents. Share school calendars with students, parents, and staff. Dynamic sharing groups would make it easier for education institutes to collaborate and share data, which would improve the overall learning experience for students. The target audience for dynamic sharing groups is any user who wants to share specific records with specific people. This includes: Salespeople: Salespeople can use dynamic sharing groups to share leads with their team members. Customer service representatives: Customer service representatives can use dynamic sharing groups to share customer records with their team members. Project managers: Project managers can use dynamic sharing groups to share project plans with their team members. Overall, dynamic sharing groups is a valuable feature that would solve a number of user problems. It is validated through user research and has a large target audience. I urge you to consider adding this feature to Airtable. ...

What is the proposed idea/solution? I would like to have one account with multiple emails associated rather than having 3-4 Airtable accounts with only a couple workspaces in each. Perhaps there is a master email login (like on LinkedIn, where you can add multiple emails associated with the same account), or there is a user ID used instead of an email. Regardless, when someone invites you onto a project with one of your emails, those projects are all housed under one roof. When you get an invitation and the email isn't already added to an account, the invitation can ask you if you'd like to link it to an existing account or if you'd like to create a new one. How does is solve the user problems? Right now, I have multiple accounts because a new one is created for a work email vs personal vs volunteer projects. It's frustrating to have to switch back and forth between different accounts rather than being able to combine them into one account and set up different workspaces for each project. Because the org is charged per user, you can't add multiple emails without being charged or using up two spaces of your 5 allowed on the free account. By allowing us to combine accounts, things would be cleaner and more user-friendly for those of us who have multiple emails and multiple projects they like to use Airtable with. How was this validated? Years of annoyance. Who is the target audience? People who use Airtable on multiple projects and have multiple emails they need to use for those for various reasons.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Add passcode lock feature/option for iOS App How does is solve the user problems? Airtable stores a vast amount of data which may at time be confidential or require additional security. Viewing of that data by persons other than intended could have detrimental consequencee. How was this validated? There is no lock feature in the app. Who is the target audience? Anyone who uses the mobile app.

i have a lot of bases, and i'm probably not the only one 🙂 (and also a lot of workspaces, from clients) My feature idea is regarding the bases overview, in 1 workspace: I think it would be great if we would be able to segment the bases overview, eg with tabs that you can customize/choose to your needs; examples could be 'administration' 'marketing' 'operations' 'sales' ... or 'clients' 'bizz' 'private' or many more goal is to have a better overview of you bases

show on the left side column the name of the workspaces that the bases are shared from & list them under the title. Easier way to find bases (and know where they are coming from) This is especially helpful in a large company that is only sharing certain bases across teams!

What is the proposed idea/solution? Remove the "Recently opened bases" section of the customer dashboard or enable it to be toggled on/off. How does is solve the user problems? Some users find it annoying enough to post on this forum about it: https://community.airtable.com/t5/base-design/how-to-get-rid-of-quot-recently-opened-bases-quot/m-p/128957#M5641 How was this validated? ... I tend to review my customers Automation History in batches. Once I review the run history, fix any errors or bugs and apply any Automation and Script enhancements, I'd then like the ability to "clear" the history. Not necessarily delete the history, but just hide or archive the history. This is the history of just one Automation, but I manage dozens, and having an ability to hide previously executed runs would be very useful.

I would like to be able to add a field that includes attributes of the collaborators entered within a "user" or "created by" or "last modified by" type of field. For example if George is entered as a collaborator in a field in table X of base Y and George belongs to a user admin group called "Sales" I would like to look up the user group George belongs to and automatically show it in another field of the same entry in table X of base Y.

In addition to collaborative, personal, and locked views, add private view and/or the ability to create bases that teammates would not be able to see.

Hello. I 've noticed the addition of new button-style shortcuts. Each time you press New Form, or New Grid…it creates a NEW base. this is so confusing and extremely waste of precious space. Why someone who can easily add a new base, to have these buttons on the top, which do something very very very specific. If anyone has found usability on this layout, please share with us
