What is the proposed idea/solution? ...when changing the name of a Field in a Synced Table, the updated name should also be Synced. This would likely require a feature, whereby a Synced Field and a local Field can have the same name without a conflict. This should not be a problem, because it's easy to determine what is synced field vs local due to the lightning bolt icon. How does is solve the user problems? ...without this feature, any changes to a Field Name are not propagated to other Synced Tables. This causes confusion. How was this validated? ...Try changing the field name of a Synced Table and find out! It's frustrating. Who is the target audience? ...all users who use Synced Tables.

Please extend the comments feature so that it is broader than the limited focus of per record comments. Enhanced Collaborative Communication: By allowing comments at different levels, team members can have more context-specific discussions. This feature would enable users to leave comments on a specific base, table, or view, fostering clearer, more organized communication. It would essentially turn Airtable into a more collaborative workspace, where team members can easily discuss broader strategies at the base level, specific data sets at the table level, and particular views or filters. Improved Workflow Management: This feature would be a game changer for project management. Teams could streamline their workflow by discussing and tracking changes directly within Airtable, reducing the need for external communication tools. This centralized communication would lead to fewer misunderstandings and a more cohesive workflow, especially in remote or hybrid work environments. User-Friendly Experience: Embedding comments at different levels would make Airtable more intuitive and user-friendly. Users could easily navigate to relevant discussions without having to sift through unrelated comments at the record level. This is particularly beneficial for new team members who need to quickly understand the context and history of a project. Comments at the view level strike me as being the most useful - views are where most work is taking place and being able to have focused discussions at that level next to the data would be incredibly useful.

What is the proposed idea/solution? The ability to set owner as non collaborator/builder so he does not have access to the bases but has only access to workspace settings. How does is solve the user problems? The problem is that in our organization there are users who are administering the workspaces and different users are building. We don't want builders to have access to workspace settings so there is another user who is administering the workspace - the only thing he does is managing the billing and administration features. Since the user is not a collaborator the workspace shouldn't be charged for him. How was this validated? Each owner is collaborator and we have to pay for him even though he doesn't collaborate. Who is the target audience? Each company who have separated group of users administering the workspace from collaborators.

What is the proposed idea/solution? The usability of the UI isn't designed around common design patterns. - Tables listed as hozital tabs - looking for tables is a high use/common behaviour - horizontal scrolling is awkward - Wasted real estate on the 'create a view' panel - this functionality is often used when setting up bases, but seldom used thereafter, this real estate could be put to better use Solution: - List tables vertically, in alphabetical order (and provide sorting alternatives) - similar to other database design patterns. Use the space currently taken by the 'create a view panel' ... Who is the target audience? - All database users (admins, editors etc.)

What is the proposed idea/solution? You already collapse the left bar in workspace, do the same for right bar. More real estate for companies who have lots of bases to be able to utilize that right side of the area as we can do on the left side. How does is solve the user problems? Ability to regain wasted space that is not necessary for day to day activities when moving through different bases quickly Who is the target audience? Consultants that have multiple clients Companies who have multiple teams with their own spaces Companies that have a lot of bases

What is the proposed idea/solution? When a user creates a form, they have the option to "See who responded to form option". Considering the user who clicks on the form may not have an Airtable account just yet, it seems logical to me that the user who does sign up, and used an Airtable form to submit a response, the primary account holder (read, person whom is paying the bill) of the workspace ought to receive a referral fee for anybody who signs up as a result of filling a form with this option enabled. How does is solve the user problems? This helps the user know that by distributing forms to a larger community, not only can they have more accurate representations of whom is using their forms, but also help the larger community as a whole by being incentivized to onboard more people onto the platform, and thus reduce their workspace costs. How was this validated? I did a quick search using perplexity.ai and found, according to the search results, this is not possible. Who is the target audience? Anybody who pays for an Airtable workspace.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Create / Download / Send to Drive csv with an automation so that you can back up tables or views or the results of find records action How does is solve the user problems? Problem: Snapshots are not a real backup solution since there is no way to restore them without braking any third party integrations that would need to be re-made. The issue of the record ids in the snapshot being different than in the original also means copy/paste is out of the question for linked records. Solution: automated csvs as partial table backups that you can actually import or paste into tables needing restoration Would also help with certain kinds of integration How was this validated? ? Who is the target audience? Everybody

What is the proposed idea/solution? We need to have security features for the mobile app. 2FA, Fingerprint, maybe a secondary profile that the "Admin" can accept or deny changes. Its just too open. Double edged sword. I'm happy it exists and works for my use case but what if someone steals my phone, or a sibling's using my device opens airtable and starts deleting sht! How was this validated? You're the engineers and UX designers... you tell me. Who is the target audience? Everyone who uses the Mobile app and cares about the integrity/ security of the data
