To whom it may concern, An enhancement suggestion from Kalypso: Remove restriction from Admin to edit External name users. Expected Benefits: Enable Admin to have full control over name for all users, not just internal. In my current example, external use only entered their last name and thus they do not appear in the order expected in admin panel when name A-Z filter selected. Please consider adding this capability. Regards, Jason Knighten

To whom it may concern, An enhancement suggestion from Kalypso: Enable ability for Admins at Enterprise level to edit User Background picture: We will have to herd the cats to get our users to do it and it would be so much easier for us if we could edit them ourselves to add head shot pictures Ideally, would be able to right click on head shot in attached picture and browse/select image file to add Expected Benefits: Improve control of displayed headshots for User fields. Please consider adding this capability. Regards, Jason Knighten

What is the proposed idea/solution? Provide access to API endpoints that users can call to fetch data about their automations in a base. Just adding some GET endpoints for read-only access would be a massive help. How does is solve the user problems? Currently users need to go into each base, then into the automations & navigate everything manually. Access to this data through an API would allow organizations an overview of which automations they have active/inactive across their organization. It would be even more helpful if the payload provided detailed information such as the settings of each step in the automation, error logs, and data about the created by/timestamp, as well as last updated by / timestamp. How was this validated? By dealing with the headache of not having it. We manually update all of our script steps / automations in our repository, very tedious. Automations have broken many times but silly things like a field name that is used in a script step getting removed or renamed. Debugging through Airtables error log is very slow and a terrible UX. Who is the target audience? Admins & developers, any company using multiple base in Airtable

Proposed Idea/Solution: The proposed idea is to introduce a feature in Airtable that allows users to view PDF attachments side by side within the Airtable interface. This feature would enable users to compare and reference multiple PDF documents simultaneously, enhancing their workflow efficiency and productivity. How Does it Solve the User Problems: This solution addresses the user's need to work with multiple PDF documents simultaneously without having to switch between tabs or applications. By providing a side-by-side view of PDF attachments directly within Airtable, users can seamlessly compare and reference documents, leading to improved usability and productivity. How Was This Validated: This solution was proposed based on the user's expressed need for enhanced PDF attachment handling in Airtable, particularly the ability to view PDFs side by side. While Airtable currently doesn't offer this feature, the proposal aligns with the user's workflow requirements and feedback. Who is the Target Audience: The target audience for this proposed feature includes Airtable users who frequently work with PDF attachments and would benefit from the ability to view them side by side within the Airtable interface. This could include professionals in various industries, such as project managers, researchers, educators, and more, who rely on PDF documents for their work.

Right now, Airtable's permissions are not customizable enough for a diverse work environment. I believe it would be beneficial to allow people to choose what permissions are allowed for specific users. For example: I could choose to give someone the ability to add records, but not delete them.

What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be very helpful if admin flag could be set via one of the following methods: - SAML attribute - SCIM attribute - mapping to a SCIM group How does is solve the user problems? Currently Admin flag needs to be managed manually in Airtable Admin Panel. This way we could automate admin (de)provisioning and easily link our approval process to it. Who is the target audience? Any company using SCIM to (de)provision users.

The ability to set defaults at levels higher than field: base, workspace, team, user or account level for time zones and date, number and currency formats. For accounts or workspaces where all users consistently work in the same locale that is not the US, it would save base builders a lot of work in setup, double-checking and troubleshooting, and avoid many mistakes caused by inconsistencies and discrepancies for the whole organization.

What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be great to have the ability to set expirations dates on Automations. Past a designated date, the automation would turn "OFF", or become archived/deleted. How does is solve the user problems? If a user wants to setup an automation for, say, an attendance/signup email reminder to go out daily (to a list of emails records in a view that have not yet signed up for an event) until the day of the event. This would solve mismanagement of automations, as well as unnecessary/irrelevant messages being sent to anyone using messaging action integrations (email, outlook, slack, gmail, etc). How was this validated? Not sure what this prompt means(...?). I discovered the need for this feature as I came up with the need to "kill" an automated message prompt for users to sign up for an event—without having to "remember" to go turn it off. Who is the target audience? ...Anyone who needs to turn off an automation on a specific date, automatically.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...when changing the name of a Field in a Synced Table, the updated name should also be Synced. This would likely require a feature, whereby a Synced Field and a local Field can have the same name without a conflict. This should not be a problem, because it's easy to determine what is synced field vs local due to the lightning bolt icon. How does is solve the user problems? ...without this feature, any changes to a Field Name are not propagated to other Synced Tables. This causes confusion. How was this validated? ...Try changing the field name of a Synced Table and find out! It's frustrating. Who is the target audience? ...all users who use Synced Tables.
