To whom it may concern, An enhancement suggestion from Kalypso: The recent capability launched for "Conditional number color formatting in Interface Design" which allows conditional formatting of Number elements (See pic), is only enabled for pre-configured interfaces. Number elements in "Blank" interfaces, either existing or new, do not have the conditional number coloring function. Expected Benefits: Ability to benefit from conditional formatting in "Blank" interface layouts. Please consider adding this capability. Regards, Jason Knighten

I would like to request a feature enhancement for the "Update record" action when configuring buttons within Airtable. Currently, when setting up a button to update specific fields, it is only possible to select static, pre-defined values. However, there is no ability to set dynamic field updates based on values in other fields. For instance, in my use case, I want to assign the value of the Assignee field based on the value of another field, Approving Manager, but I can only select a specific user. This limitation makes it difficult to create flexible automations and workflows that can adjust dynamically based on the content of the record. Proposed Feature: I propose adding the ability to dynamically set the value of a field (like Assignee) based on the content of another field in the same record (like Approving Manager). This would allow for much more powerful workflows and significantly reduce the need for manual intervention in automations. Benefits: Increased automation flexibility. Ability to automatically assign tasks to the correct team members without hardcoding values. Streamlined approval workflows where managers or approvers are dynamically assigned based on the content of other fields. I believe this feature would be incredibly beneficial for many users managing approval processes, task assignments, or other dynamic workflows. Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to seeing how this could improve Airtable’s capabilities.

Context Within an automation we use a repeating group action to update a set of records. We may want to update each of these records differently depending on a condition. Currently, we need to define several automations to do that, which is a problem since there is a limit in the number of automations that can be created for a database. Suggested solution If we could add conditional actions within the repeating group it would give us the possibilty to create only one automation. Thank you for considering Pascal

Would be real convenient to have a "Run Automation now" button as a trigger option. I know there's the "test Automation button", but that doesn't work for repeating groups. And I know you can make an interface button, but switching pages and making that extra page is annoying. Same goes for running it on a scheduled time for 1 minute from now. And I know you can write a script and put it in the scripting extension which has a button like that, but no-code is easier. Manipulating the database with code is the main thing databases are still better than airtable in and if you could make that straight forward in a no-code way with Automations it might lead to even more mass adoption. I know this is not really automation, but rather just doing something in more of a programmatic way, but it could help a ton to edit multple records at once.

What is the proposed idea/solution? In the Timeline view, I'd love to see a slightly more granular hourly view than "Day split into hours." Most of the records in my base are no more than an hour long, and there tend to be a few phases of the day where they bunch up a lot, which makes the "Day split into hours" zoom level really difficult to read. If there were something more zoomed in, even something as simple as "12 hours split into hours," that would help a lot. (The ability to freely zoom would be even better, but that might be too much to hope for!) When it comes to looking at shorter-duration events at a glance, the calendar view is easier to read, but Grouping is where the Timeline shines, and exactly what I need it for.

Context: We are close to the maximum number of automation in our bases, we use a lot of interface buttons to launch automations Idea: Now that it's possible to link several buttons to a same automation, it would be interesting to be able to apply conditional logic based on the button clicked in the interface. This avoids the need for users to create an automation per button.

What is the proposed idea/solution? I start with a problem i am facing: Got 6 clients each with 15 automations. In every Automation 1-3 actions. Every action run same script (special webhook and payload). Yes the same script is in every automation's action. When i make small alteration to script, i need to shuffle all of these automations/actions and paste new version of script. I would like to save script into 'Long Text' field somewhere in base. I would like to save RUN A SCRIPT as loader for such script. How does is solve the user problems? When i need to update script - I would only need to update one place in Airtable for example -> table: 'scripts', field: 'webhookXYZ' How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? everyone with TEAM and above.

Portuguese is the first language for many of our employees and it would be great to have that as an option for the language preferences found in user settings.

When offering a filter in an interface based on an 'email' field including the 'Current User' this is case sensitive. If a user capitalizes a letter in their email address when signing up this possibly won't match exactly and the filter doesn't work as intended. The idea here is to make this filtering to be not case-sensitive.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Add the ability to insert a Condition (like in Rules > Visibility) on the Submit button of a form. Possibly even run an automation to check values in other tables before Submitting a form. How does is solve the user problems? A dynamic Form Limiter prevents unwanted Submissions that a Collaborator won't have to clean up later. Who is the target audience? Airtable is a significant step up from Survey Monkey, but there, I'm able to limit the number of form submissions.
