It would be awesome if Airtable’s formula engine could recognize “curly quotes” as the same thing as "straight quotes". When editing formulas on mobile web browsers, curly quotes are the default. And, when copying and pasting formulas that have curly quotes from other places — such as this forum, which changes quotes to curly quotes outside of a code block, or rich-text editing apps which change quotes — the formulas won’t work upon pasting them into Airtable. I have a table that was created by importing a spreadsheet, Can I update this table by importing an updated version of the spreadsheet that I used to create the table initially. I get information from an MRP system that can out put to Excel. I use Airtable as a way to easily manage this data for myself and others. I have sent shared links to others so they can access this data as well. If simply created another table from the imported data the links I sent to the others would no longer work. Therefore, it would be better to update the original data. Or would I need to erase all the data, import the new spreadsheet in another table, the copy and paste all the data back to the original table. ... View more

Hi there, In kanban view I would like to be able to click checkboxes to move the card to the next stage (automation). I have selected the checkbox field from the “customize cards” drop-down but only ticked checkboxes are visiable. I have around 150 field techs that upload completion reports to my Airtable base. the process needs to be clean and simple as a lot of the techs are subcontractors and just getting them to use my Airtable form can be a challenge. One issue I have is that photos captured within the form are not also stored on the device, unless they take the photo first, then open the form, and select the image from their phone gallery. This process is a little cumbersome. 90% of the time there is no problem but occasionally the form must be failing on submission so the entries do not show up, and when I ask the techs to resubmit they don’t have a copy of the images on their phones. So I need to pay for them to return to site and get photos again. I’ve tried to get them to take photos first, then open the form… But it’s just not as user friendly to do this. Feature Request: Gantt View sort by Record Number (not ID) (Poll Vote at the bottom) In the Gantt view When the start and end date are equal to the start and end date of another record, the records will be ordered by their creation date. I would like the records to be sorted by Record Number when start/end dates are created equal. Additional Notes This will allow for the sorting of tasks to be organized manually from within the Grid view. This is useful when one record (or task) needs to be completed before another record for project management purposes. Tasks are always being created and updated and moved around. All workarounds are very cumbersome to get tasks to fall in order. My current workaround: Reorder tasks how I want them, Copy and paste all tasks into a new table in order for the Creation Date to be updated in the order that the records are in. All records now fall in order, but this is not practical. Question to Airtable and Community Is there a use case for having records in Gantt view be placed in order based on Creation Date rather than Record Number? Right now if I have a record with a lot of fields I can choose to view the data in one long horizontal row (in grid view) or one long vertical column (if I pop open the detail view). I have a lot of space in my big monitor; I want to be able to fit more fields on the screen at a time by putting them in a two-dimensional grid rather than a one-dimensional row or column. It would be great if I could make a page-designer view that allowed me to edit the data directly from within it like a form. Alternatively I’d like to be able to specify a two-or-three column layout on the detail view. Either of these options would allow me to take advantage of my screen real-estate to view and edit lots of record data a lot more easily. ... View more

We use formulas to generate emoji “flags” per record. But they’re REALLY small. In emoji-only fields, I’d love for the type-scale to be increased by at least 125%. Max out that cell, when it’s an “image”! Thank you. ... View more
