It would be great to make automation error messages more sophisticated. For instance it would be very helpful to build an error log in a table in order to assign errors to certain users or mark them as resolved etc. (at the moment the person who triggered the automation receives the error notification / email). Especially when dealing with more complex bases and / or using scripts in automations, errors are pretty common and a useful part of the development process. What is the proposed idea/solution? Frustratingly there's still no Max_Date() or Min_Date() function to use within formula fields. There is obviously Max() and a Min(), but ultimately they're designed for checking numbers and returning the largest or smallest, and not dates. How does is solve the user problems? Similar to UPPER( ) and LOWER( ), PROPER( ) would take a text string as an argument, and convert it to “Proper Case”, where the first letter of every work is upper-case, and subsequent letters in the word are lower-case. EXAMPLE: PROPER ( “1232 DEER VALLLEY AVE” ) would return: 1232 Deer Valley Ave USE CASE: I use AirTable in my real-estate business, where I hire virtual-assistants to enter public property data scraped from county websites (which often stores data in upper-case). That address data is used to for mail-merge to marketing letters, but unless I take abother step to convert the data to Capital case, the merged data appears ALL UPPERCASE, which makes the letter seem auto-generated. To solve this, my workflow includes an export from AirTable out to a .csv file, then into Excel where I run a macro that converts to Proper Case, and then is imported back into AirTable, then out to our document merge partner (WebMerge). I’d love to eliminate that last, fussy part of the workflow where I export out just to convert the text. It is a wasting of time to select linked record in a field one by one. For example if I want to pick attendance from a table of students I have to click ADD in the form and I can only select ONE linked record and then click again (!) I’ve just started using Airtable, and straightaway I’m wondering if it’s possible to replicate the data validation function available in Excel. Specifically, what I’d like to do is select from a Single Select list (the field would be called Category), and in the next column/field have a Subcategory, which would give me a Single Select list with a unique list based on the selection I made in the Category field. For example, if my Category selection was Utilities, my Subcategory selection list would include Phone, Electricity and Gas.
