Today our team is excited to announce the public beta (it’s public – so no need to sign up!) of several new API authentication features to make our API more secure for all our users. Bundled with them are the (long-requested!) metadata API, comments API, and webhook API. Chart You can now adjust the sort order of the items on the X axis of bar, line, and scatter charts.Here are the new sort orders that are potentially available. Hi all - I hope the week is going well. I’m excited to be able to share the next wave of Interface Designer updates targeted at making interfaces even more powerful and easier to use. Button Element: Allows you to add a button - and configure some actions - in your interface. This will allow you to quickly approve/reject requests and gives flexibility to making status changes like assigned or complete. You’ll be able to configure buttons to update a field or multiple fields of a single record with a single click. You may also choose to move to the next record. You’ll be able to edit the color from 4 different options. Below are the color options and their labels. These labels are meant to be guiding principles of when to use these colors, not what they do. Blue = “Primary” Red = “Warning” Green = “Success” Gray = “Secondary”

Hi everyone! I am excited to share with all of you that as of today conditional automations are now available in Airtable for all users. Conditional logic lets you trigger groups of automation actions only when certain conditions have been met, ensuring your automations are primed to do exactly what you want. Once you’ve set up conditional logic, Airtable will check the first conditional group you’ve set—if the conditions for a group have been met, the actions in that group will run. KV: I discovered Airtable about five years ago in 2018 as part of a search for a low cost, cloud-based, cross-platform database system for personal projects, and every year since then has been a new adventure. Initially I forced my Airtable builds on bewildered friends and family who didn’t understand why a database could be better than a spreadsheet, but in 2019 I found that people would pay me to create Airtable bases. So, in 2020, I decided to re-enter the workforce full-time, focusing on Airtable consulting.

Then, in 2020, Airtable released the Apps Marketplace, which added even more functionality, and led to the renaming of blocks to apps because, well, they’re applications that work within Airtable. But that was never as clear as we hoped, especially in an era where Apps can refer to everything from Miro to Angry Birds to the application your team builds with Airtable. So as we look forward, we wanted to choose a name that reflects the way our customers can—and will—use these powerful tools. Hi everyone, I hope you’ve been well! I’m Jade, a Product Manager here at Airtable. We’ve got an exciting new feature that is live in Airtable today - you can now deep-link to a specific cell! Prior to this feature being released, users were only able to copy & share the record URL - this wasn’t ideal for bases with a high volume of fields per record. Imagine you want to share a single field with your colleague, but your only option was to copy an entire record with every field! Now with our new feature, you will be able to copy and share links to a specific cell. This simplifies the link sharing experience, as well as make it easier to navigate in a base. Using this feature is simple - right click on the cell you want to share, and click “Copy cell URL”. Now when you navigate to the base using that link, you’ll be brought directly to that specific cell. This feature works in the grid view, as well as the expanded record. Here it is i
