I'm stuck. I need a field type and formula to display the cumulative annual profit or loss (P/L) displayed as a percentage (%) and based on a Q1 starting amount and subsequent amounts entered in Q2, Q3, & Q4 fields.This seemed easy until I got started. Now I'm digging a mental hole I can't climb out of :-). Help... thank you.

I have a table with a count field that is supposed to count the number of linked records in another field that meet certain conditions. For some reason, the count field is not properly filtering the conditions and is counting ALL linked fields. I am not sure why this is happening as I have set this up properly. I have checked off "Only include linked records from X table that meet the following conditions" where "Status" has any of "X, Y." It is still counting fields where the status is not X or Y.Does anyone know why this might be happening and how to fix it?

Hello! On the grid view, users are normally able to add new options to a multiple select field. However, when I try to do this on a form, I can only select from existing options. Is there any way to get around this?  

Looking to create some kind of form / interface that allows the user to submit multiple records. For context, here is the use case:I'm creating an Ordering/Receiving Inventory Management base to use across staff at a Restaurant for order management. Person 1 does the ordering, they submit what they ordered. (ideally they'd be able to do it by distributor, so for Distributor 1 we ordered 7 cases of X, 2 cases of Y, etc.) This populates to a new table of sorts that Person 2 can reference when they do the receiving of said order. They'll see the 'Qty ordered', the 'Item Ordered', and the 'Distributor'. They theoretically can denote what was received (1 case of Y instead of 2 cases, etc.), as well as attach invoices for easy reference. Not necessarily set on the set up being a 'form' per se, although that makes the most sense to me. However I am getting stuck as I can't find anything about adding multiple records through a form, it seems the form set

Hi all, I do property inspections and wanted to create a template where I can fill out every time I do an inspection but it can create multiple records. For example, here are the main items I inspect (doors, walls, drains, landscaping, etc) And I would like to fill out a form that can create a different record for each of those items. Is that possible at all? Thanks in advance!

Hello! I work for a manufacturer that deals with many SKUs of products. We have a form to let designers know when new products are being ordered so they can check and make sure if any packaging needs to be updated. When we place an order, we typically order multiple SKUs at a time. Currently the form has a field where the submitter has to place the SKU numbers separated by a comma (10001, 10002, 10003, etc). Ideally I would love for the data to separate the single record into multiple records by those SKU numbers. So 10001 would have its own record, 10002 the same, so on and so forth. All of the other information on the form would be the same in the record, it would just be easier for us to track and update everything if they records were separated. I saw some other posts on here doing similar things, but not exactly what I'm looking for. Also open to doing this a completely different way if that would be easier. I'm guessing this would take some

Hi there!I work for a nonprofit that sends frozen meals to families with children with cancer in British Columbia.We've leveraged Airtable to run our inventory and order management, but we've gotten some feedback that families are having a hard time with seeing the dietary restrictions for a specific item on our order form.The order form is set up so that it pulls products from a specific view that categorizes the product into a main, side, etc.Does anyone know of any way to make it so that the families could see the whole text?A workaround is that when they actually add the product it shows all of the information - if they saw something concerning and wanted to remove the product they would just have to remove it and then add another, but this is counter-intuitive and confusing to many people.You can see a video of the cut off text at the following link:

Hi there, I'm on a business plan using interfaces as a ticketing system with multiple external parties. Each external party has an interface with a unique filter condition and are given read-only access. I want them to be able to view the comments too - is there any way I can do this? I've enabled record-level details such that when they click on each row, the individual record shows. however, it doesnt allow me to configure this record-level view with Comments/Activity feed element. All I'm seeing are the Fields, and two other options: Chart and Number. 

Hello,to simplfy my struggle with reporting in Airtable lets imagine this workflow:I have Employee, Projects, and Timelog tables where employees track the time spent on specific projects. Each employee has their own hourly rate.What I need to achieve is a monthly report for each employee that includes:All projects they worked on in the previous month (show them only if they worked on specific project at least for one hour)The total time spent on each projectThe total cost (calculated based on their hourly rate)apologize if this has been discussed before, but I couldn’t find a solution.I am could achieve this by Pivot table in the dashboard section, but I need to make automations based on this results (adding Payments and so...) Thank you

I can do so much...but this one just has me stumped. (I have "Business" tier, Zapier, Make, etc. fwiw. I prefer to use Zapier over Make, but will do whatever I need to.)I get an email sent to me each day that has an attachment. It's an XLSX file that has the day's clock-ins on the first tab, and then each employee has a tab after that with each day's hours. I used Zapier to get it to automatically upload into a folder in my Google Drive called "clockins".I want to automatically upload that new file. -When i sync with Google Drive, it just wants to pull in the name of that file, basically. I'd still have to do the actual importing. I want the file (and all the data) to be imported.-I can't alter how the Google Sheet is formatted. Some employees have the same first or last name, so I don't have unique values in any field (and i can't add one, at least before it lands in my Google Drive.)-Ideally, I'd like all of the tabs to be import

I cannot figure out how to recreate the interactions table in the templates (for CRM) made by airtable. I'd like to make a form that references that table so each time I make a contact with a customer or contact, I can record it in that table. I could try to make a table myself, but I don't need to reinvent the wheel. I’m looking for a better way to save and share images through Airtable. We use ShareX to capture and comment images which we typically share in Slack: hit ctl-printscreen to grab an image, paste into a conversation and hit send. We’d like to use Airtable to document more of those tasks but it’s a hassle to get images into Airtable: browse to the ShareX document folder, find the file, upload, wait… ShareX can automatically upload to Imgur and put a URL on the clipboard instead of an image. It would be super-great if Airtable could show those URL images, page previews, poster frames etc. It would also be super-great if we could just paste images into the attachment field.

Hi, new Airtable’r, I searched around but couldn’t find answer to this! I’m surveying my customers about their opinions on products we’re considering developing. I have a base that contains a table with details about all the potential products, including a field I made customer ratings. I’d like to create a from that displays every product in the table, showing its image and description, and a place to collect their rating for that product. I’d like to be able to use that form to see customer’s average ratings of them. Is this possible? Thanks!

I have a [Anniversary] field and a field that calculates the next anniversary, so I get reminders and write a card for my volunteers. Here is my problem:The basic formula works fine when there is an anniversary in the field. When there isn't one, I get the #ERROR, which one would expect. I tried ISERROR(...) and IF(ISERROR...) to get it to show blank, but I can't get it to work. I am setting up a KPI tracking sheet for our business but I'm stuck on how to create the layout for data input. Situation: I have KPI's I want to track on a yearly /quarterly / monthly / weekly base --> so each KPI has need of different columns for data input (months / weeks / ...), how can I make a clear overview? Or should i make different tabs depending on the date range for input?Also some KPI's are numbers, some are percentages,.. so i cannot make 1 column for data input. Should i make different columns fe 'KPI number' , 'KPI percentage' and then leave open some columns which are not relevant? I feel there are better options but I just recently started using Airtable so would love to hear from some more experienced users 🙂

When I try to use the form submitted automation trigger, none of my forms appear in the dropdown selector. It's very frustrating , because they are published and can enter data normally.What might be causing this?

We have a couple of columns populated with emails and names, the rest of the AirTable base will be empty (I've attached a screenshot). What we'd need is to trigger the workflow in Make based on specific time trigger automation and I just don't know how to tell the workflow to start as the specific trigger time automation in AirTable doesn't allow me to use the recordID field. Would you be able to direct me to a solution if there's any or tell me how you'd accomplish that feat?

The end-user should be able to use Airtable to dynamically setup and schedule data transfer to and from our data warehouse. Data transfer should be seamless and should support 20,000+ rows. I am new to scripting. I have two tables: Contacts, and Outreach that are linked via the "Full Name" field with a 1:n relationship. So each Contact (say, for example, "Jane Doe") can have multiple Outreach records. Each Outreach record represents an email or call to that person.I'd like to write a script that opens a "mailto:" link to the Contact's email address and then creates a record in Outreach with the current date/time stamp that is linked to that contact (in this case, "Jane Doe")How can I create a script to do this?

Since personal views cannot be restricted to 1 user, I'm looking for a workaround.I'd like our users to be able to create their own personal views based on a master table.I don't want them to see anyone else's personal views (which AT currently doesn't allow).I need to set up automations based on each user's personal views (so I don't believe we can use interfaces).The solution I came up with was a master DB 1-way automatically syncing with multiple bases, but the problem there is the sync feature is unreliable. AT claims it's an "instant sync" but it is not. Many of the child bases do not get updated data for minutes or longer. I've been trying to find a solution for almost a week but haven't had any success.

Hi,I've created a formula to calculate my patients' current age based on their date of birth (Lookup field). When I look at the record in grid view, it gives me an error message, but when I check the formula for accuracy, the calculation preview gives me the correct calculation. I'm not sure why there is an error in the record in grid view if the formula is accurate when I check and edit it. In row 2, the value from row 1 should be used minus the value from row 2 (same field). How does that work?Automation is not the right way, as the dataset is not newly created (trigger), but already exists. Specifically, it is about the following:I want to use the value "km" from the field "refueled at km" in row 1 and calculate it in row 2 in the field "kilometers driven". Hello, I have an interface that generates data based on individual users' data. When I share this, the link looks like:https://airtable.com/(appID)/(interfaceID)I want to use URL filtering to display the data for a specific user in the Airtable based on their email. The user's email can be found in a list of users called "Students," the field for their email is called "Email."
