I'm building a process for Employee Onboarding. Here's what I'm dreaming of (and have started building):1) Recruiter gets the signed offer letter and needs to do some things (their name, phone number, role, who they report to). They enter this in a form.2) That form puts those details into the base and kicks off some next steps. -I'd like the new hire to get a form to enter some things like their birthdate, bio, etc. Kind of some "get to know you" things. These don't go any futher, just get put in the database so People Ops can do team building things with it.-The manager gets an alert and fills in new information (what equipment will they need? gets them log-ins to team-specific software)-At the same time, HR works on things like getting them enrolled in benefits and payroll. So, some things can be happening in parallel. Some need to follow a certain order. I could do a List (and people check off items as they do them, so we can see what's left to happen) or I like the idea

Hi all!I use Documint to generate a pdf of teacher evaluation results. I want to generate the pdf and then attach it to the email sent to the teacher. I keep receiving the error 'an attachment URL is disallowed'. I've read a previous post on this topic and reached out to support.  I don't feel I've fully grasped the issue. What it sounds like to me is I need to delay the automation so that there is time between when the attachment is uploaded and when the email is sent.  I'm unclear as to why the now function is needed as opposed to the dateadd function. I have synced my airtable calendar to google cal, but in google it only shows the date field from my airtable, not the name of the event-I find no option to change what shows in google calendar-I don't need the date to appear only the event name in the correct date.HELPPPPPPP-Thanks..

I set up a basic database, but as we grow, I need this a bit more polished. Perhaps turn it into a form. Do you provide services where someone can create that for me? beyond basic knowledge, I just don't have the time to figure it out 🙂 Thanks!

Hello, Community!I have a button in a grid view which action is "Open in page designer". I cannot find an option to incorporate this button/action into interface designer. Well, I can add the button field but no action is available in the interface. No further options available neither.Have I missed something?K

Hello, Everyone!I am desperately looking for a solution for something where I thought that it's easy to do. But somehow this is beyond my thinking. 🙂The situation:I have a table, grouped by a reference ("EXA"). Several records with same reference ("EXA") go through different "status" until it's done. The "status" gets updated slice by slice for the records with same reference. So far so good.What do I want to achieve:once all records under same reference have reached the same status (for e.g. "DELIVERED to project site") I want to get an alert. Best would be an automation which sends an email saying that all is done for EXA# 24DE535529298955B6.I hope the solution is not too easy, otherwise I would be frustrated by my own skills. 🙂Kai 

Hello I have these four pieces of data: Project Name {Text Field, Primary Field} Project Start {Date} Project End {Date} Project Team (multiple people) {???} *can be separate table I want to be able to create these views: a gantt view for my projects This will show the project name and the start and end dates a gantt view for each individual team member This will show each project they are working on My team will consist of four individuals that will be working each project. Some projects will have all 4, others will only have a couple. I need to be able to see how many projects each person is working on and how long they will be busy with projects. For the Project Team data I’ve tried linked records, collaborators, and mult-selects but they aren’t being treated as individuals, they are being treated as a group in all the versions of the gantt I’ve tried.

Hi! I'm trying to set up an inventory system that takes into account materials used for each of our products. On my products table, I have a column for materials and one for finished goods. I've set it up so that when we assemble a product, the materials qty decreases and the finished goods qty increases. This seemed to work well until I ran into this issue:We make notebooks, so the raw materials are the covers. So when we make say, notebook A, notebook A covers would get deducted, when we make notebook B, B covers are deducted and so on. The problem is we also make 3-packs, with one of each notebook A, B and C. These sets are a different product, BUT they use the same raw material (covers) as the single notebooks. I can't seem to figure out how to make it so when we assemble a 3-pack, it automatically deducts one of each cover for A, B, and C. We have several 3-pack designs too, which further complicates it. Any help is very welcome!

I need to set up a workflow where users register through a form with their email address, and in some cases, an optional Group ID I will pre-fill using URL parameters. I have a question about how to handle member data in a specific set of circumstances.I have a membership base. One table has the members' names and organizations they belong to, if any, in it. People join this organization. Sometimes they join as single people and sometimes they join as a couple. So far I have able to easily handle the single/couple issue, except for when one of them becomes a board member/officer. Now I have to find a way bifurcate them. Do I put them in individually? If so, how do I handle when they join or renew as a couple? Or even better, leave a legacy? Hmmm. Is a puzzlement. And how do I handle when one of them dies?Any thought or help will be truly appreciated.Best, Scott

I would like to hide the primary field in a gallery because I want to use a long field for the title. I understand primary keys and keeping the title short. No problem. But, I don’t want to publish the primary key but a long field. I attached an example pic of what I am talking about but not sure anyone can see it, since all I see is a link.

I would like to run Automation every week on Sunday, and the purpose is to have a running change for my Pivot Tables. I would like to take the "Items", "QTY" and "Last Date/Time Updated" from Table1, and copy/ paste that data into the Table2 which has the same column names. Is this possible and how is it done? I was poking around and wasn't able to figure it out.

Has anyone made / planning to make something like this?I can see how a gallery view would be nice as a starting point for an App with lots of Interfaces, but I can't see a good way to add a simple clickable 'link' to them, other than have a URL in the Record Info, but it wouldn't feel very intuitive? Thoughts?

If I am in Base A and click the “+ Add or Import” button and select the “Sync data from Airtable base” option and select a table from Base B it brings in and syncs the table. One thing though is single and multiple collaborator fields get converted to Single line text. Is this expected? Is there a way to make it stay as a Collaborator field?

Hey everyone, I had a quick question to see if this is possible. I view my projects in a timeline view that is grouped by what phase the projects are in. The top group are projects that are coming up, but sometimes I dont have a date for an upcoming project aka I dont see the project in my timeline view. I dont want to forget about possible projects that are coming up with no specified date and was wondering is there like some sort of an option with airtable timeline view to have records that dont have a date show up under the group name on the left bar or somewhere where I can remember like ohhhh right that needs to be scheduled? Hello,I am trying to create a stacked bar graph in Airtable like the one I made in excel, but there's something I'm not quite understanding about how the chart extension tool works in Airtable. I cannot group the different day ranges under the record #, only the total, not the individual segments stacked. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.  

I've noticed we've been having issues managing the number of "Builders" we have on our company's Airtable account. In the Admin Panel it indicates that we have a limited number of "Builders" and "Contributors" included in our plan, and there are billing implications if we go over this number. Unfortunately we keep going over the number but can't seem to work out why!I have tried to find more information on the functionality of these user seat license types, but all I could find was information about Airtable user permission levels (Owner, Creator, Editor, Commenter, Viewer) and haven't been able to work out how they are connected, but the definitions of the user seat license types seems to indicate that a "Builder" seat allows users to have Creator level permissions, and a "Contributor" seat allows users to have Editor level permissions:Builder: Builders are able to create and customise bases and workspacesContributor: Contributors are able to edit records in existing bases and wo

Was just informed that our card was being charged for a pro plan. There was an unauthorized person on our account.  We don't use AirTable and we followed all the instructions: (a)  I deleted the user and then (d) downgraded, but then I got a message that AirTable will go to free on March 17, 2025.  This is unacceptable.

When I use Aritable I either get the solution straight away or spend days knocking my head against the wall just to find out I’m overcomplicating things. I’m currently in the latter situation, so please bear with me :winking_face: I’m designing a Crypto Portfolio Tracker on Airtable. I have 2 tables: COINS TRANSACTIONS I plan to add every transaction I make (buy or sell) to the TRANSACTIONS table. If amount is positive it’s a BUY, if it’s negative it’s a SELL. So far, so good. Now I’m trying to create a PORTFOLIO table summarising/aggregating of all my transactions to reflect my current portfolio. This PORTFOLIO table should aggregate (sum or average) all records with the same {Ticker} to give me information about how much of each coin I have. So a PORTFOLIO table would look like: Ticker | Total Amount | Cost Basis | Current Price | P/L Where: Ticker - {Ticker} from the Transactions table. I have a table for meetings that is linked to a Personnel table and an attendance confirmation table that is also linked to the Personnel table.When a meeting is submitted, an email is sent to each linked personnel record with a form. The form is prefilled with the meeting ID and the Personnel's name. When they submit, it shows that they attended the meeting.I'm trying to find a way - within the meeting table - to show what personnel (linked in the meeting table) have not completed an attendance form using a lookup into the attendance table to find the personnel name. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Hi all -Airtable newbies here! I'm an ops manager supporting a team that has a ton of gates/deliverables. There are lots of dates (50+) and it is cyclical every 3-4 months. The team has told me it would be helpful if I created calendar invite reminders for their outlook calendar to keep them on track. I've already inputted all of the deliverables and dates into airtable and created some great calendar tools, but am having trouble creating the piece to bridge the gap to outlook calendar reminders.I was able to create an automation tied to a button on an interface. However, I'm finding a few limitations to this and wondering if anyone has any great solves?I have to press a button for each record/date individually. Is there a way to set an automation to apply to all records with certain conditions? (for example, add outlook reminders for all dates in X cycle?)I can input a distro list for attendees but I would love if it looked up to a field of emails from a table and then used those
