Hello, I am stuck.I have a table that I upload a csv from my databaseThe table has records (all records have a unique GuestID) that are either the parent record (field name GuestAccountOwner is equal to true)Or a child account where GuestAccountOwner is equal to false and GuestAccountID is equal to the GuestID of the parent record.I am trying to output in a new table on one record for each parent, but combining data from both parent and child. So the record would have the ParentName, Parent Email, ParentPhone but on the same record there would be Child1Name, Child1DOB, Child2Name, Child2DOB. Based on the DOB of each child there would also be a Child1BirthMonth and Child1BirthYear, etc for each child as well.Basically the automation has to go through and find the parent records, count the chidren and put it all on one line, I can either have all the fields ready with that naming convention or it can be added on the fly.Is this possible?

Hello,I'm trying to design a database that can accomplish the following:Aggregate data across several different entities (for example, cities).Aggregate data for each entity across different time periods (for example, years).Aggregate data for each entity and time period across multiple metrics (for example, (a) population; (b) property taxes collected; (c) median home value).I want to be able to use the Interface feature to design a table to review city-level metrics (rows = population, taxes, home value, etc., columns = 2020, 2021, 2022, etc.) with a drop-down chooser for selecting the appropriate city (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.)Is this possible with Airtable? It's the time series element that I'm having trouble figuring out when constructing my base. Any help much appreciated.Thanks 

Hi there,I'm looking for some help with improvement of a "Work on Today" field.The field we have currently is a checkbox for each colleague--each person has their own "Work on Today" checkbox with their name marking their field. In a view of my tasks on the base, I have it grouped so that when I check my "Work on Today" box, it will automatically then show that task (along with any others I have marked) at the top of my view.It works great as it is, however, we have more colleagues now and it would be great to have a single field for all colleagues that had the same function as the above one. However, I cannot get one to work in the same way because of groupings/filters.Initially, I thought a "Work on Today" multiple choice field would work as each person could select their own name when they were working on a task that day. I have a field that contains people’s heights in centimeters. I’d like to create an additional field that converts those heights to feet and inches, specifically using the format #’#". The conversion part is easy; to get from centimeters to inches, you simply divide by 2.54, after which I’d want to round to the nearest inch. It’s the formatting part that I’m hung up on. For example, 175 centimeters converts to 69 inches, rounded to the nearest inch. But how do I force 69 inches to display instead as 5’9"? Thanks in advance for any help here!

Hi, I have two dates in my base, one is manually inputted, the second is linked from another tab. The date pulled from another tab is the most recent date and we need this date to replace the manually inputted date so we can track most recent updates. I've tried creating a new column that merges these dates but that isn't working. Hello,I have a very simple request.I simply need to generate a formula to compute the first and last name of my contacts.However, as simple it is, I do not have the text format in the formatting bar. Only Number, Currency, Percent and Duration.Then it is impossible for me to create the basic field {First Name} & {Last Name}Is it possible to allow the text format anywhere?Thank you very much for your help.Franck

I'm trying to show the graduation rate  and drop out rate of program participants in a dashboard. We used to track both in separate fields to using the percent filled under summary type, but both fields were recently combined into one. I tried to find a way to show an accurate percent of graduates and non graduates with both being under the same field, and have been unable to do so. Is there a way to do it? If so, what is it?I'm trying to show this as a straight up number, and not in graph form. 

How can I make it so someone can add drop down items to a field but not be able to delete,rename,access specific views? Seems like this permission system needs to be more complex bc I’m finding that I have to give up a lot of control to simply manage a table/view or add new rows. I feel like there should be minimum one more level where I can create a user to manage rows and specific fields but not delete/rename views. am I missing something? 

Hello All, I am new to Airtable & have searched but could not find a solution to my query. My table has the following fields (and a couple of more). 5 days before the due date, I send myself a reminder mail. And, this seems to be fine (preview tells me it is fine). The issue is the format of the due date. I want the format to be 22-Jul-2022 but the email shows 2022-07-22 I used the formula in the email, but it is treated as text in the email. I created another field (column) with my kind of format and the column shows the format, but when I reference this column in my email, the content is blank. Can you please help me? Best, Vikas

I am trying to set up a basic template for managing about 20 small construction projects. I have a table with records for each project and a separate table for all the various tasks that could apply to each project. I can't figure out how to link the various tasks to MULTIPLE projects while also tracking the status of the task within each separate project. Hi there,So interfaces seem really helpful, but I essentially can't use *any* of them, because it appears they consume from the 5 request/second per base rate limit that currently causes *all* interfaces to fail.  This is because we have many automations already accessing the base, accordingly.Can someone from the Airtable team comment on whether this is intentional?  I was hoping the interface designer used a different API rate limit quota than for my backend automations, but it seems that's not the case.Thanks!

I have a form for inputting contact and basic account information for new sales (form 1) - when the form is submitted, it sends a survey that the customer needs to fill out (form 2).Depending on one of the fields from form 1, form 2 can be one of five different form views (specific questions and information are pertinent to specific account types).I currently have a nested IF function and hardcoded URLs for the five different forms - is there a way to make this connection dynamic instead?  Concern would be something like, if a sixth account type was created it breaks the workflow.

Hey everyone!I'm new to this and need some help. I have a list of client details that include two attachments: a price list and a software update list. These attachments are used in automated emails. Periodically, I need to update these attachments with the latest versions.I've tried two methods:1. Linked records: I created a second table with the attachments linked to the client list. However, I'm having trouble getting the attachments to appear in the client list.2. Update record automation: My understanding is that I need to first find the relevant records and then run a repeating group to update them. However, I'm facing two challenges here. First, it seems to only find up to 100 records, but our list is much larger. Second, I'm struggling to get the automation to work smoothly.Has anyone encountered a similar situation and found a solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
