Hello, I find it difficult to work with time frames in Airtable. Am I missing something?Example:Let's say I'm selling cars and with each sale I add it as a sold car record to Airtable with its details.Manufacturer: AudiType: A6Date: 22/3/2024Price: 50 000 €Condition: NewNow I have a DB of all cars sold in last 4 years and I would like to make an interface where I would filter variables (type of car, condition, ...) and timeframe it was sold in to see my average monthly sales of cars that corresponds with my filter. So basically I would know that based on data from last 24 months, I've sold avg. of 0.8 Audi A6 per month.Any ideas? Hi! I'm trying to use a Task Template table & an automation to create Tasks aligned to an Account based on a specific criteria. I've got the automation working with the following set up: When a record matches a condition in the Accounts tableProduct/Service [LinkedRecord to the Product/Service table] is not empty Find Records in Task Template table & create list based on Product/Service dynamically pulling in Product/Service of Airtable ID in triggerCreate Records in the Task List for Accounts table with the relevant fields. Here is the problem: I want the "trigger" to be a multiselect field (IE there could be one or many product/services purchased by an account). I am having trouble figuring out how to change the trigger such that it creates tasks that are linked to multiple Product/Services. Is it possible to only show certain fields to certain users?For instance, if someone is logged in and has an email that ends in @whatever.com, we can mark that field only visible to those users.Any other suggestions would be welcomed!

Hello, I'm fairly new to the paid version of Airtable and I've been able to figure out most of the features and automations I need. I'm specifically wondering (especially with the updates that have come out) if there's a way to validate entries and form conditions. Example: students input their e-mail address in a form. If it does not meet the condition of having their .edu e-mail address, there's no way to reset the form or put an error message up. I have tried putting a conditional field that it must include the .edu student address portion, and I made it a "check box" format with an error message. Students do not seem to read this and submit the form with incorrect data or the form not even being filled out. Is there a way to not allow the submission if certain things are incorrect?Also with attachments, is there a way to condition that attachment to only accept certain types of files? 

Does anyone have any ideas on how to label relationships in this CRM we are building? We have multiple relationships we want to label such as spouses, siblings, advisors, parent-child. We also want it to work in the inverse so it shows that Sally is the child of Tom and Tom is the parent of Sally.

Hi, I don’t know whether this is a bug or something has changed - we have calendars on our outlook account - we did this using ‘sync to external calendar’ links. We noticed the calendar events are no longer showing in our outlook - they previously were. I am unsure when this changed. I have deleted and re-added the link and the calendar is still not syncing. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi, I’m looking for a way to query the “line number” (based on the current manual sorting of a table) when iterating over the records. I don’t have a table column which reflects the actual sorting so I can’t use a column as sort criteria with selectRecordsAsync(). I am working on using an Airtable automation to assign topics to writers. Step 1: Trigger Step 2: Find records that meet the right criteria. Step 3: Send an email with values from the found records as a grid. Step 4: Update the records from step 2. I have a single select field “Emailed” that can be true or false. I’d like to update these values to True. Step 4 is where I am having a problem. I do not see the possibility for selecting Record ID’s for the records found in step 2. Is there a workaround to this? Hi, I have a Data table that is structured in the following way:IDValueQuantity101A1101B2102A3Within the data view I have these records grouped by the 'ID' field. However, when attempting to create an interface and including a 'Record Picker', it shows the records individually. E.g., I selected the first instance of ID 101 and it only shows Value A. I would like to have a record picker that when I selected ID 101 that it shows both the records for Value A and Value B. Is this possible? Thank you 

I have a list of people linked to projects in my Airtable base and I’m attempting to have the slack messages from my automation tag the user associated with the record matching the conditions when the automation runs. I’ve tried inputting the slack id as a look-up from the roster table, I’ve made a formula that concatenates it into a string, I’ve tried it both as id (with <@ and > added in message text) and <@id> in the methods above, but none of this results in a proper tag. The only tag I’ve been able to make work is when I hard-code one into the automation message, but that obviously isn’t dynamic. Has anybody had success here? FWIW; whenever I try to include the field with the Slack id into the message, it doesn’t show up in Slack at all, so I know at some point it’s getting filtered out.

Why are elements (groups) in an airtable dashboard non resizable? I added a dashboard interface in airtable with two number groups that show the count of companies and two chart groups. When I click on the expand button on the chart group, I want it to display the pie chart and the list in a descending order with details below. Though this is seen currently, I am not able to resize the charts or increase the size of the list table below. The table is seen as a thin scrollable section at the bottom and it is a very tedious experience for a user to scroll again and again when in fact the page can be otherwise utilized to show a bigger table. (see screenshot below) As a work around, I tried to create a dashboard using a blank interface. However now the number or chart element is not clickable and it is static. This makes me think airtable dashboard i

We have an airtable/make.com combination running a help desk/ticketing system. When people reply to their initial ticket, the system assigns a new record. Is there an automation that we could install that would combine the records?

For some unknown reason (i.e. I didn't make any adjustments to the recipients) my weekly emails generated from an automation that has been running smoothly for months now, went out in these configurations 1) to me only in the To and CC lines 2) to me with the typical recipients now appearing in the cc line in addition to me. Has anyone else had an issue with this today (late March 7, 2024)?

Why does a table that takes 2 seconds to load for me in N.America take upwards of 2 minutes to load for my colleague in Malaysia. Is this normal for whatever reasons related to Airtable infrastructure? or is there something on his side that might be a cause?

What I want is that whenever I add/write a new email address to the Email field, an Automatic email could sent to that email address. this action repeats with the addition of every new email in the field.I tried many ways but could not figure out and got error and not send email as i want. Hello! I need to create a formula that pulls records from fields that correspond to answers of multiple-choice questions, like "What language do you speak"? Our multiple-choice questions also have an "Other" field. "Other" fields hold records which are either "no" (i.e. the person didn't select the "Other" response) or they are "yes, + [response e.g. Portuguese]". I want the formula to be able to pull the text from the "Other" fields IF it's a "yes, [response]" record, but to NOT include the "yes, " part, ONLY the response part (e.g. "Portuguese"). Can anyone tell me how to build that into the formula? Essentially, I need this part of the formula to say "IF the "Other" field contains a "yes, [response]" answer, then extract only the [response] text.Thanks!

Hey all! I’m a bit stuck here and hope that somebody might have an idea to share. Context: I have a table that lists a bunch of SaaS products that I use (such as Airtable!). Many of them have monthly recurring costs on the same date each month. What I’m ultimately trying to do is create an automation that reminds me the day before each subscription is renewed every month, but for the life of me can’t quite work it out. I think I need a date/time column that indicates the day of the month that each subscription gets renewed, and then I guess a formula that will trigger the automation 1 day prior to the renewal?
