I am trying to figure out a way to generate a bar chart of our active customers.Each of our customer records have a "start date" and an "end date" when they were active. I can easily graph the "start dates" (see attachment) but this doesn't show our cumulative numbers including people who are still active customers. If someone stops being a customer, I still want them to be counted for the years they were active, but not from their cutoff date.The closest I have come to doing this is by linking to another table that has a list of years and basically manually adding customers to years they were active, but surely there is a better way to do this. We have hundreds and hundreds of people. Maybe there's a formula that can do something clever, dunno.Ideas?

Hello all, We use Airtable to manage our auto export business, mainly for keeping track of documents in/out and car movements from one warehouse to another. I’m trying to create a table where we can keep track of where / when / who happened to the docs It is linked to our Master table which has all the main vehicle info (vin / make / model / customer / price…etc) , but our Master table has a “stock number”(autonumber) as Primary field. When I setup a new table called Doc Tracking, then Link to Master, when you add a record, it only looks up the Primary field, but not able to search by partial vin. It’s kind of cumbersome to enter by “stock number”, which we only use for filing purpose. we always go by the VIN for everything else. Is there a way to define which field the “Link to another Record” looks up? Thanks

Hi, My team have being using the Airtable and the Kanban view for almost two years now. We have for a while lacked/cant set up a link between two tickets on the board. Just a simple link, so we don't forget an input or task.Is this possible? and how would i set this up?thanks! BestM 

Hello, I have a question that I am having trouble finding an exact answer for; my company manages week-long events at a large scale and I'm trying to determine how much it would cost to allow several temporary collaborators on a specific base for a week.I know that Airtable bills per user prorated by day, so does that mean if I bring in 5 users for 5 days and the monthly cost is $24/month, would the answer be $0.80/day per user*5 users*5 days= $20 total added to the invoice? I hope this makes sense, let me know if you need any more context! 

Hi, I’m using Airtable to manage my library. I was hoping I could use it to automatically calculate the due date based on the date I loaned the book out. For example, if I loaned the book on the 5th of October, I want to add 14 days and have a column saying 19 October for due date. How do I do this? Regards

I'm pasting a single-line text field ("Whisky Name") into a linked field ("Link to Summary Page"), and it used to paste all the names across into the linked field. The action was that if a name matched with an existing one, it linked it to the existing one and if it didn't, it created a new line in the summary table.When I pasted all the single-line texts across, it matched the existing ones and left all the ones that would be 'new' items blank. I know this because if I manually select the link cell, type in the name (nothing shows up), and 'click create a new record' it works. In that case, if I have a duplicate further down and I try the copy-and-paste method, it works because it now has a match.Has something changed?

 Hi, this should be really simple but there doesn't seem to be a way of displaying percentage of a total (fields meeting certain conditions).Basically I have a list of leads. Each one is labelled as "converted to customer", "converted to partner" or has a blank field.Instead of just counting the number of records meeting the conditions above, I would like to know the percentage of conversions to customer and conversions to partner,  and display this on an interface page.Thanks. 

I have a pretty basic automation that when a record is updated, a separate record in another table is updated with information from the first record.My problem is, a lot of the fields (which are populated through a public form) are optional and so many are blank, and this causes the automation to fail. It seems really strange to me, as I assume this would be a very common occurrence and that Airtable automations have no way to deal with it?I would like my automation to run and for the populated fields to update, and for the fields that have no value in them to either be ignored or to update with a blank value (it really doesn't matter which). I have trawled the internet looking for this solution but can't find anything.Any ideas?

I am creating a form for our website that I will need external users to fill out. I want to minimize user input error so I have created a table with state names/abbreviations to link to the form. When they start to fill out the state it populates options they can pick, but is there a way to make this look better by eliminaing showing where the data is going (it shows 'Leads' the table where it is going and I don't want customers to see that). Or is there a way to easily upload the state abbreviations that I have in the table without manually entering them all as a single select drop down option?Last question, I love the look of the interface form but from what I can tell this is not something you can share with outside airtable users via our website? Other than having them creative an airtable login, is this correct?

I'm trying to figure out a way to have some sort of pop-up window with filtered records based on certain criteria or simply just show a filtered main view.I've managed to create an automation based on a certain amount of days + a certain status. Works fine when I test the automation but I'm not entirely sure how I can show this within Airtable.The idea being that these customers are a priority so our sales guy needs to focus on this task first

Hello, I have a table with attendance records (which meeting participates complete via form), and each person chooses their 'team name." There's another field with "session" that is a dropdown (these are monthly meetings, so choices are November Monthly Meeting, December Monthly Meeting, January ..... it's a program that runs Oct - May, 8 months.)I have a Teams table and set a rollup field for each month that tells me how many attendance records their are, and restricted it to that one month. I did this for each month, so that will tell me how many people attended each month. However, besides the number I added another field for each month with a status. I am building an automation to turn the status to "attended" if the rollup field is not zero. It contains a persons name, contact details  product and product reference, etcSecond table is a list of vendors/suppliers that have that particular product with product reference. The data is not entirely clean (structured) on the "new leads" table as the leads contain messages/text containing the reference number within it. First question: Is it possible to group and filter the new lead table with the vendor list in a way that would show the vendors that could supply to the following lead, using the product reference.Example:Lead Column: New Lead - Hi i am interested in "Item 123123-001" Vendor Column: Reference: 123123-001Would and could i need to use a formula to identify the reference within the l

Without the option to select multiple records, we are required to set dependencies to move more than 1 record at a time. We need the option to click/drag to highlight the records we want directly on the timeline, and then grab and move them all at once.This is available in the non-interface Gantt view. Please make it available in the Interface Timelines too!

Today there was an update called Refreshed linked record picker in Interfaces which makes the record picker for linked fields more compact and consistent.  I like the idea, but it breaks some important things in our workflow.Namely, it does not show images, and it truncates the record names.Here you can see a snippet of an interface which shows a linked field.  There are a few records already linked (circled in green) with image thumbnails appearing on the right side of the card (red arrow).  Clicking the "Add group" button opens the new record picker (circled in blue) which severely truncates the record name and does not show image thumbnails.  

I'd like to send an email to a user when a Linked field is updated, but ONLY send the new updates, not the entire contents of the field.I'm working on a job board. I want to email the organization that posted the job every time a new applicant applies to their posting.I have two Tables – Users and Job Postings. The two fields are linked so that each Job record shows the Users that have applied to the job, and each User record shows the Jobs they have applied to.It seems like I can only email the ENTIRE "Users" field to the job poster through the automations creator. Ideally, I would send a daily email to the job poster with only the NEW profiles that have applied to the job.Any help here is appreciated!

Hi,I have a currency column that is being auto-calculated, and the way Airtable is summing the numbers is sometimes incorrect - off by a few cents.I suspect this is because the auto-calucations sometimes come from .00 or .000 fractional ownership of certain goods, so when Airtable sums a bunch of those at once it's somehow dropping or carrying over fractions of cents...If I copy and paste the whole list of numbers in Excel, for instance, it gives me the correct total. So I'm searching for a way to somehow convert the auto-calculated field to a plain number field which will hopefully only give me the sum of the numbers as they are.Any suggestions for how to to this? Thanks!

I have failed at several attempts to create a Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) in Airtable. I am looking to have Various Processes that an employee can choose from to create a series of tasks to complete based on that chosen SOP. I have searched in the templates and it doesn’t look like this has been done before. Any ideas how I could structure this? I would also like the ability to add and alter SOPs once they are created. I envision a main table with each employee and a list of the SOP’s they are in the process of and the tasks they need to do.

So I am having an issue with Airtable on MAC. When I am in any base and on the first table the button to add another table is constantly flickering. (see Link for a video, not my video but same issue),https://community.airtable.com/t5/other-questions/text-in-header-blinking-flashing-bug/td-p/132478The weird thing is it isn't happening across all my devices. So I have a Mac Studio and on Safari, this is where I am having the issue, But on the MacBook Air and Safari I am not having this issue. Both devices are on Apple Silicon. Is there anything I can do to fix this? 

I find that the pricing page shows that the free plan can have unlimited bases. Detailed plan comparison table on the pricing page shows that free plan can have only 1 workspace. Also I find in this page Airtable Plans - Summary & Overview | Airtable Support page that each workspace can have only 500 bases. So as per that the free plan can have only 500 bases. So what is correct - 500 bases or unlimited bases?. 

I have two tables: "Billing" and "Activities". I'm trying to find a way to combine this data so that I can see $ received from bills while only including "TimeEntry's". In this specific scenario, the amount I would need to see is $530, since the $100 is an ExpenseEntry.It is way too time consuming to manually count the hundreds of records, so I need a formula or an easier way to compute this. I am a historian, constructing a historical database (1940s-60s). When I click on my linked record for a person or institution, some of which will have to link to 1000+ records, I notice that the records are almost arranged in date order - but not quite. As I scroll down, I will notice up to 20 or 30 records running from earlier to later, as I would like, then a record from a decade earlier will appear next, followed by another run of (successful) earlier-later sequencing, though often for yet another subset of years. Naturally, I would like the entire contents of a linked record to run from earlier to later. I cannot see what other sort criterion the linked record might be using. It certainly isn’t the random 6-digit number I’ve created for each record ID. What is odd is how the linked record is almost in date order.

Is there any mechanism which can be used to allow only some records within a list view to be editable? I would like my team to be able to edit records until they are marked as complete, after which editing should no longer be allowed. I'd also like to be able to show the completed records in the same view, so work arounds such as using different views (which is what we are doing currently) make our workflow less easy to follow.

Hello Airtablers, My base is a list of leads with linked tables of their respective organizations and locations. I am evaluating a new sales tool called Apollo and I’m trying to configure their API into my base so I can pull the contacts and organizations. I understand the basic logic here, but my experience using APIs like this is minimal. Can anyone shed some light on how I can go about linking Airtable and Apollo? I have a base for which I wanted to create a daily email automation. - Trigger - every 1 day at 8am- Action (find records that have tasks (a field) with a status of TO DO. - Action (send an email)It looks like in the email that I am able to do attachments and either use data from the trigger (at a scheduled time) or action (find records). But when I click on Find Records....it will not let me choose anything...I either see invalid choice for input, cannot assign list of string to collection of complex types. It will not let me attach they actual data! Any help is appreciated. 

Is it possible to make a search box appear also in the “grid view” on mobile (as happens in the desktop version)?
