Hello, I'm brand new here. Air Table was suggested as a good option for what I need to do, but I need some guidance. (I can do basic things on google sheets or excel.)We're creating a church directory. We've gathered info from families, and someone typed them up in a doc... (Kicking myself for not having made a digital form to begin with!)What I will need to end up with is a database of families with adults and children, mailing address, phone and email (sometimes both for 2 adults), and birthdays and anniversaries. Also, a place to check if they will have a photo in the book, and a place to check that we've verified their info to be correct before including it in the directory. I will need to output 3 different things:The names of the family members to go under their photo. (Family name and individuals with adults named first)The directory contact info listing (Family Name, individuals, contact info)A calendar list of birthday

Hi. Sorry if this is a silly question. I need to rename a table that has some airtable automations linked to it. Can anyone tell me whether the automations will dynamically change their settings to use the renamed table as before - or do I have to manually re-configure them to use the new table name?Many thanks.

Hello everyone, I have encountered some problems in recent days with basic copies between accounts. I work on a basis for clients from my Airtable account. They copy it to their account and there, yay: automations are not copied, only interfaces and tables and new: all my buttons with links to database forms with prefill are not dynamic. So when they enter a form, it puts the information... on the basis of my account I don't know if you've ever had this problem, or if it's normal? I used the prefill forms extension. I saw that the creator published last year about update issues but she wrote that Airtable had updated. I reloaded the extension, deleted and reinstalled and it still doesn't work. In my interfaces, I put buttons that send to base form URLS. And in the copy, it keeps my URLs to me. Is there no way for these urls to be dynamic between database copies on different accounts?

I need to track what resources are needed for each area of a project. They are similar - ex. XXX at Y quantity or ZZZ cut to A' by B". I need to link the resources needed with each project area.  Any ideas on how best to set this up? THANK YOU!

I am new to Airtable development and this token thing is very confusing to me. How do I connect to Airtable to update or create my records using python?

 I'm looking for the best way to copy a base to another account. When someone finishes training we would like to give them a copy of a base and want an easy way to do this. This is what I've tried: Option 1: Share the base with them via email or a linkProblem: This would be fine except it is possible to see all other accounts that have had access to this i.e. all their email addressesOption 2: Share the base publiclyProblem: Doesn't copy automations (an possibly other features)Does anyone have a better way ? Hi,Is there a way I can create a formula that will determine the Monday for all these dates and return just one date. For example, in this table it's looking up data from another table, in this case the Monday for this set of dates is the 12th. How con I accomplish this? I need it to create a "end of week".. which I already have the formula for that. Please help.

Dear all, With my team we are using airtable to do systematic reviews and extract data from science literature papers. For each study we created 2 rows and each one is assigned to a reviewer. So, for example, we have the coloumn “sample size” and reviewer 1 writes 89 in his record and reviewer 2 writes 98 in her record. Let us suppose that there is an incrugruence. I am using rollup function to ask Airtable to show me the content of the two cells. First I used rollup function ARRAYUNIQUE(values). It was ok but if a reviewer did not report the value he should had reported, I cannot see it and it might be useful to see this discrepance between filled and unfilled cells. Thus I used the ARRAYJOIN(values) to see both the values. It fixes the problem above because I can see what both reviewer have extracted, but for long text it might be difficoult to spot differences. So, here it comes my question. Is there any direct or indirect way to compare with (or without) roll

Hi,I would like to use Airatble to support my work in prioritizing a list of items.  I would like to be able to drag-and-drop items (records) up and down a list to show items higher in the list are higher priority.Then... I would like to be able to look at different views within the same table and still see the items in priority order.Scenario:I have a table called "Product Ideas".  The table currently has 100 items on it.I have a view I call "Prioritized View"... in that view, I see all 100 items, and I have put them in the order of priority. Row 1 is the top priority, and row 100 is the lowest priority.I have a second view called "Status View". HelloI have a lookup field that lists every area code in each time zone.  These are listed by zip code within each time zone so there are a ton of repeats.  You can see them in the area_codes field:I've tried to create a formula field (UniqueAreaCodes) to remove all the duplicates but as you can see it is still outputting some duplicates.  I have tried ARRAYUNIQUE(area_codes) as well as ARRAYUNIQUE(ARRAYFLATTEN(area_codes)).  These provide the same result.  I've also tried a myriad of other complex formulas with no luck.  I think part of the problem is that area_codes field is seperated by a carriage return and is not all one string.  I tried to put that field into a continuo

Hello! We have a small video production studio that has enough people to need a better solution to check out equipment. We set up a table with all of our inventory and a separate table that has all of our tasks. In the task table, we set up an equipment checkout form that allows has all the equipment categorized and available to check out. It’s the best solution that we have found so far but I feel like there has to be a better way. Currently, since the form is simply linking each item in the inventory table, they all show up as individual options, so we have to click the drop down box every, scroll, and select what we need instead every time we want to add an item in the same category. A checkbox-style set up like in a multiple select field would be the most ideal. We have a label maker that can print out barcodes readable by airtable, so what if I can somehow set up a form/table/view that we can keep open in the equipment room and use a barcode scanner (we’re looking

I am looking for a way to calculate some percentages in my base. There are a few things I need to do first:1. I want to only include records listed as "Budgeted" or "Not Budgeted", not any "N/A" records. (this removes TEST 1 and TEST 4 from my calculations)2. I also want to only include records with an authorized budget entered, so exclude any that the authorized budget=$0.00 (this removes TEST 2 and TEST 3 from my calculations)3. Of those filtered to only budgeted or not budgeted and not $0.00, I want to count the ones with a remaining budget greater than 0, and count those with remaining budget less than zero, getting a percentage of the two. Hello all!I use airtable e.g. for recording and analyzing event data. In event data i have "start" date and time, and "end" date and time.When I set the filter "the past number of days" (e.g. 30 days) to the event data, it would appear that the current day + 30 previous days are included.Today (10/6/2023) when I apply that example filter, the events of 9/6/2023 are included, even though the current day + 30 days have passed since thenIs this the way it's supposed to work or am I doing something wrong?

I have several used cases that I’ve been able to manage well with cloud functions. However the only use case that I cannot find a way to manage is how to update my firebase database when a airtable record is updated, I can use zappier to keep my db updated when a new record is created, but there is not support (as far as I know) from update records. Has anyone crossed with this case?

Hello. Still fairly new to Airtable and working to better understand formulas. I'm looking for input on the following.We have a rental space where rates are set based on duration (up to 4 hours, up to 6 hours, all day). I've set up a table for Rental Rates. Separately, I have a table for rental details, and this includes a duration field ("1st Day Duration") calculated based on rental start and end times.I'm trying to figure out how to create a formula that calculates the correct rental rate based on the duration and then pulling the correct rental rate. So for example, if a duration is 3 hours, the fee would be $x (since that's the "Up to 4 hours" fee). But if the duration is 7 hours, the fee would be $x since it would be a "Full day" rental.One other variable. I'm not sure how to plan for future rental rate changes, so that when rates change existing entries do not change (only newer entries). I'm assuming this starts with a date variable tied to rate increase

I have a series of formulas and automations set up to automatically determine a project's "project number". So I have hundreds of records in my "Projects" table. A dozen of them might have the same exact project number. This comes up pretty often.I want to create an additional field, that just automatically links all projects that have the same project number as each other. What would be the best way to do this?I have a feeling this might be a job for a script but I have no experience writing script. hello!I have a simple automation that finds a value in one record, finds the match in another table and links it in the source table. Hello all! I am trying to figure out if it is possible to use a regular spreadsheet view to input data and then use that view to export to a custom template PDF/CSV/Form. For example, I have a master list I am trying to see if I can export into two separate custom templates. One would be for client information and the other would be for our information. I am looking to see if I could create two custom templates that certain fields would be linked to the master list. Those fields would only export to the template that I have chosen to export to. All of the information will be pulled from one master record and exported to different custom templates.

It is essential for my job to be able to collect data with multilingual forms, but then aggregate the results in the same answer field. For the survey part, Airtable allow very conveniently to reformulate the questions in the form view in as many languages as I want, and that is a no brainer.Where the things get complicated is when the survey includes a single or a multiple choice question.For the single choice, I've found a very practical solution:Insert all the possible answers in all the languages in a single choice field, then generate as many form as the languages and for each one filter out all the answers that are not in the correct language. Finally, aggregate all the answers in another field with a SWITCH Formula, as shown in this example here:

Integration with make.com + airtableI want to automate posting on different social media channels based on information in an Airtable database. After each successful post, I want to update a status column in Airtable to reflect which social media platform the post is live on.The issue I'm facing is that the status column keeps getting overwritten, so only the latest post's status is shown, instead of all the platforms the post is live on.I've tried using this command:{{merge(6.Live Status; add(emptyarray; "Live - FB"))}}The command works when there's pre-existing data in the Airtable cell BEFORE the router. However, it fails to recognize the updated status created after the router for each post. Volunteers are attending some sessions and working other sessions. I have a field for each volunteer's Attendance Time Slots, another field for Work Time Slots, and a third field called Conflict?. There are several (up to five) time slots listed in the Attendance column and in the Work column. I'd like to check to see if ANY one or more of the time slots in the Attendance column matches ANY one or more of the time slots in the corresponding Work column for that volunteer. I have three tables: People, Time, and Projects (which is synced from another base). In the Time table, there is a list of time entries. Alongside other fields, each entry is linked to one People record and one Projects record.What I would like to achieve is a List view of the Projects with the following structure:- Project (sum of all time - this I can accomplish with Rollup)--- People (with the sum of time spent on the particular project)------ Time entriesHowever, it's not working because there is no direct linked connection between People and Projects.
