Help! We are a Charity that trains Assistance Dogs for Autistic Families. I have a table with ALL the people that have ever had to do with thecontact/dealings with charity at some point... however, this is my dilemma:Mr X is currently a 'Volunteer' and a 'Subscriber' but he used to be a 'Fostererer' so his Contact Type is currently a multiple select field where all three are listed. BUT it doesn't tell me which Type is active and I have been asked to show who's doing what currently and not previously. What do I need to do to my base to identify that Mr X has 'Active' status on both Volunteer and Subscriber but 'Inactive' status for Fostererer.

I'm looking for a bit of assistance. I've created an automation that sends a message to a specific MS Teams channel when a record enters a view.However - the message is sent from myself, which means that when the automation triggers, I don't actually get any notification on my PC or my phone (since technically it's "me" who's sending the message).Is there any way to bypass this so that I actually receive a notification? I could use Zapier, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Hi everyone,I would like to create 1 automation that starts when a record is created in airtable and that creates an event on google calendar. I used the "when recordmatches conditions" trigger specifying the conditions to make it activate (for example the date field must not be empty). I then inserted my Dynamic "Date" field as "Start date" and "End date", which is made up of both the date and the time. The problem is that when I go to create a record and choose the date, the time is automatically filled in, the automation starts and creates the event at the wrong time. Does anyone know how I could solve it?any help is precious!

Hello,I was elated at the ability to prefill forms in interfaces just like you can do with the standard forms. However, I'm not able to prefill a linked record in an interface form.I was successfully able to prefill other field types with the interface form, just not the linked record.In addition, I tested the same prefill string on both a regular form and an interface form and even "hardcoded" the string with the Field ID and Record ID (?prefill_fldXXX=recXXX). It worked as expected on the regular form but not on the interface form.Is this functionality not yet possible (other posts on here suggest it should be)? Is this a bug?Thanks!

Hello,We are one of many Homeshare programs in California, that operate out of different agencies with different tracking systems etc. but we try to collaborate across programs with the understanding that we all are working towards the same end goal.Another program showed us how they use Airtable to track their participants, and their workflow is very similar to ours. They built the database themselves, with much research, tutorials etc.Would it be possible to import the structure of their database to use it on our end, without any of their clients' info? Hi,Is it possible to manually reorder rows in an Interface Grid Element? If a grid is not sorted or grouped, the "dot" handle on the left does not appear. If a grid is not sorted but is grouped, the "dot" handle appears, but grabbing it and moving the row does nothing. The row stays where it was.In both scenarios, when inserting a new row, the row automatically filters to the bottom regardless of where it is insertedI'm setting up interfaces to introduce new users in our organization to airtable. This automatic row behavior is frustrating them because they're used to things like (unsorted/unfiltered) google sheets, and want to drag and drop rows into their preferred order.Is there a way to configure the Interface grid element so the row behavior is the same as an unsorted grid view?Thanks!

Hi-We love the synched Airtable base option which is able to show us (for example) what work is in progress, by employee for up to 10 airtables. The one gripe we have is it would be really nice to see this all in one tab. I've tried fiddling around with creating a "Master" tab in the base by using a "linked" column in hopes to have the master tab contains all the linked views but am not getting anything to work. Is there any combination of AI/Automations available that might achieve this goal? We currently have the TEAM paid plan. Please and thank you for any information.

Please forgive this long post, but if you have the patience to read through it, I know there is a super smart person out there who has a creative solution. My boss wants to share an org chart link with other people in the company without them having to login to AT. I know how to do that. I also know that I can find the URL to the org chart so it can be shareable. I have learned I can also share the base publicly with a passcode - so far all is good. However, as you know, you can click off the link and view the entire base contents which is what we do not want.We cannot afford the Softr Business plan each month (non profit - even with their 30% discount) so we have to manually find a creative solution.We thought we could sync a limited view to another base and create the org chart there but with one way sync, it doesnt allow the links and the org chart cannot be created as such.Here is where automation co

Hi there - I am looking to create a column that will essentially lookup the field values of columns Q1 - Q4 and output the latest number.We input quarterly projections and want to be able to identify the most recent number by looking at 1 field ("latest projections"). *Note - not all fields will have data from Q1 - Q4.I tried using the IF function but that only seems to work with 2 different fields max. ( IF(Q2> " ", Q2, Q1) )If I have data entered in Q1 field and then in Q3 enter in new data in the respective Q3 field, I want the "Latest projections" column to display that Q3 field since it its the most up to date #.I hope this makes sense. I will attach a screenshot for reference where I manually updated the "Latest Projection" field.

I have a table in airtable with a field called 'Logos' which is of type: Attachment. I am using Make integromat to pull the logo urls which get populated in the Mailchimp Create Campaign module (that uses HTML layout). When I see the campaign being created , I see the logos but after a few hours I see that the same campaign does not show the images. Is there a reason for this? Please let me know if there is a resolution to this.  Thanks in advance!

I just imported an Excel Spreadsheet but one of my formulas did not come through – namely, =INDIRECT(SUBSTITUTE(fieldname," “,”_")) The value of the previous field determines the single select options for the subsequent field. I have a table that generates specific tasks for clients on a frequency that required an interesting set up, but got me the result I was looking for (leveraging multiple formulas, jump tables, and linked records). Currently, the tasks are generated into a table called 'Client Work' that my team works the tasks out of. I have other team members that need to submit tasks to that same table, but are one-off tasks, not auto generated tasks. Unfortunately - the primary field (Task Title) is a formula generated field that combines multiple look up fields to generate the title, so I am not able to have Task Titles. I am looking to add an "OR" function, IF the fields that the formula is referencing is blank (aka: a work around to have another field that acts as the task title that will only be used whenever a task is generated via a form). For the task name issue – I feel like I have a potential solution, but need some guidance on the formula for th

Hey there!I've been having problems calculating and displaying a metric through Interfaces. My ideal end use will be displaying the rate/calculation in a chart so it can be displayed overtime, but I'll settle right now for being able to set the number to a Number Element if it's too hardSo - I'm trying to get the metric Contacts per Purchase. I have a contacts table that has all the contact information plus two relevant fields deal_status (single select) and email_date (date lookup field from the campaigns table).This metric would be easy enough in other system because it would be the simple (Count Contacts / Count {deal_status} ="Purchased") grouped by email_date month buckets or dashboard filtersGiven that neither the Numbers or the Charts elements allows for internal calculations, does anyone have an approach to this issue? I'd rather avoid heavy automation of nested linked because of volume

I am looking to update multiple linked records w/ the current time/date in one table when a button is clicked in another table.Here is a screenshot (shows checkbox, but a button would be my preference).I tried creating an automation but if I understand correctly it is not possible to run an automation on multiple records. So I believe I may need a script.I know enough to be I can make small edits to a script but if someone could help get me started and confirm if this is possible it would be a big help.Any and all guidance welcome and appreciated. Hi! Enjoying the automation features of Airtable. It would be great to be able to sort the records found via the “Find Records” automation before sending them to the next step. As of now, they are sorted by the time the records were created, which is logical but seldom what we’re looking for. Thanks!

Is there a way to use formulas in the Send an Email or other action in Airtable automations that takes the data from a Find Records step and does some simple manipulations with it, like a SUM() function of all properties of listed records?In my example, I charge my car off of an electrical outlet in front of my landlord's house and pay them each month for the electricity I use. I have a base with an entry for each charging session that calculates the money I owe for each charge. I can easily send an email with a list of all the charging sessions for the previous month, but I would like to send a sum of the cost property (a formula field in the base that outputs numbers) instead of just the list of individual entries.What seems like the most simple way to do it would be something like a "Formula" action that takes data from previous steps and manipulates them using the Airtable Formula Field reference, and then lets subsequent action (update record, send email) use the

Just recently noticed when printing from a list interface, the field headers are now off center from the data below it when printing / PDFing. They appear aligned as they should when viewing the interface itself, but are off once you print. My Customers book appointments through google calendars. When they book I want their info to be added as a new contact in my airtable base. The issue is that the info doesn't show up clear and their email, phone number, and name all show up as one massive gargle with page breaks and such. How can I tell airtable what info to pull for what column (name, email, phone number)? Also, Once this data get cleaned I want to set up an automation to add that contact to google contacts so that when someone calls their name shows up on my phone. Is there a way to link their airtable customer history to their google contact?
