Hello,I have a Database that includes a table of Users and a Table of inventory (Computers , Monitors, Docking stations and so on).All of our inventory is mapped by serial number.When I give the user a device I assign it to the Air table.I want to have the option to see the assigned history by user or by device.That means if I have a user name Tom, and I gave him on 01/12/2023 a laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad , S/N:ABCD123, and I took it back on 15/01/2024.Let's say I have the record of this computer. Through that record I want to be able to view the computer assigned History- that means when it was assigned and when it was unassigned. And also the opposite way, through the user record to be able to see which devices were assigned or unassigned to the user.

Hello and thanks in advance.  I have form submissions coming into Airtable via a Zap from Gravity Forms.  The problematic field is Location which contains lat, lng, and address. I need lat and lng in separate fields in airtable.  This is an example of the imported data: {"location":{"lng":-122.38418565202375,"lat":47.653449368341484},"address":"Magnolia Connector Trail, Seattle, WA 98199, United States"}I need to wind up with 122.38418565202375 and 47.653449368341484 in separate fields. I've created 2 new columns in my table with the names lng and lat and installed the scripting extension. What do I do next?  Also I would like to process all the existing records at once and then process all new entries one by one manually when they come in.Thank you so much! 

Hi,I am trying to set a date field value to today's date, when another value for that record is updated. e.g. when status changes to X, set date field to today's date. I am simply looking for UK date format e.g. 23/01/2024 Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance. Thanks,O

I have a base full of contractor information (Name, contact info, addresses, etc.) these fields are concatenated into one field.I sync this contractor info base across our project bases so that the information is readily available. When I select a contractor from a dropdown list on a project base I want it to use the corresponding concatenated contractor info field from the sync'd contractor information base into a 'contractor info' field on the project base so my users don't have to copy and paste the info in every time. I've been trying to use automation? Is this possible? What is the best way to achieve this? Shouldn't be too hard to select an option then autofill info based on that selection right? What am I missing? 

Hi! I am teaching myself through online videos, and I stumbled across one that showed me how to create a form and automate an alert in a Team Channel. I did that and it is working great. Next, I wanted to see if I could insert a link so anyone that sees that alert, can be taken directly into the table/grid. I found a video that shows me how to do a custom message, and I can get the name added, but when I add the Base URL, it will not work. At first, it was adding a long ugly code but now nothing. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, and appreciate any assistance. 

Hi all, I'm trying to set up an automation using a trigger using a linked record field. What I want is to trigger an email whenever a record has two or more linked records in a field (but not one). Is this possible to set up?For example, let's say the records are individual baseball players, and the field "Teams played for" links to a "teams" table. In Babe Ruth's record, the field would link to "Red Sox", "Yankees", and "Braves". In Mickey Mantle's record, the field would only link to "Yankees". In Jackie Robinson's record, the field would only link to "Dodgers". How can I set the trigger to email for Babe Ruth's record and not Mickey Mantle or Jackie Robinson?

Hi,My airtable gets slower and slower each day. Last night I couldn't get data from a look-up field from another connected table.The main data which I have is about 800 hotels (with 6 pictures each max 1 MG) and 200 attractions 2 images each. (In total I guess less than 4 GB images in 2 tables)I tried also for browser (Safari) hard refresh, but it didn't work (I checked it on another PC same problem).Any advice?    

Looking for ideas on how to open an Airtable form with a checkbox trigger.  I'd like to avoid using google forms.  I've tried using javascript with no success.  window.open(URL, '_blank');Any other ideas?  Seems awkward that you can open google forms with a trigger and not Airtable forms. 

Hello,I have been using the article "Writing nested IF statements in Airtable" as my template for assigning performance ratings based on a percentage score. This is basically exactly like the example in the article, however, I have not been successful. I cannot get "MSE", "FME", "EE", etc. to populate at all, only "DME". I tried using SWITCH as an alternative and was not having success there either. Can anybody tell what I'm doing incorrectly, and how I can remedy this problem?

Hello,I am trying to create a "grouped bar chart (multiple measure with repeat)" (example). No matter what I try, I continue to get a "Property xOffset is not allowed" error and the chart won't render. At first it kind of produces a stacked chart (but even then, I don't think it is correctly visualizing the data). Hello! I am trying to use the line chart in interface designer to show multiple lines with YTD data across multiple seasons. I've used the "Group By Season" selection. The inputted YTD numbers steadily increase month by month across the x-axis monthly timeline, but the lines displayed in the chart look like scribbles. Can anyone help me understand why? Hi Airtable Community! I am looking for a way to pull values from multiple columns into a single cell. The setup is as follows: I have a list of countries, and each country has a team comprised of people from multiple departments. The departments each have their own table in the base, so when I create a table of Country Teams, each line item (country) has multiple departments that it's pulling from. In the example above, the bolded columns represent linked records. I need help creating the "Team List" column and eventually the "Team Email List" column (which will likely use a Lookup or Rollup function to pull emails from the different Department tables). But I have been having trouble figuring out how to create a column that pulls values from multiple columns across an entry. Can anyone help with this? Thank you!

Hi there,New to Airtable and have been experimenting with it, together with ChatGPT and reading the community treads.I'm trying to create a system for my new video production company, where I'd like to add single or multiple freelancers to each project and set their day rates and number of days worked. Ideally I would have a default value, but I want to be able to set different day rates for different freelancers even if they are working on the same project. This would be helpful to track what each of my projects costs (I have an Expenses table as well) and I want to incorporate these to a Cashflow table later.I have a Freelancers and a Projects table so far, they are linked to each other. ChatGPT and Bard recommended me to use formulas that try to reference fields from the linked tables, but as I read it here, that is not even possible.What would be the best way to go about it?Many thanks,vor

I have a question about Grouping… I understand how to Group a grid view. I am doing so by a Multi-Select field, called “Topic”. The problem (which is one of preference) is that some of my items have more than one Topic assigned. The way Grouping works, it shows distinct groups for combinations of Topic, eg. Not only a Group showing items with a “Red” Topic, but also a Group for items with “Red”, “Green” AND “Blue” Topics. I’m curious if I could force a Group to show all the items with the corresponding Topic. It is confusing to see this many Group combinations thanks to Multi-Select.

I have a base that acts as a sales pipe line of sorts with each stage having its own table (Bid Board, Pre-Approval, Live, Shipping, and Completion). I have it set up through multiple If-status > Create record automations to move a job along the tables once it reaches a specific stage. This has been working great for me but there is one issue. If I notice there is a mistake or I need to update some information on an existing record (for example "client name") I would need to manually do it across each table.I tried to set up an automation using the following -Trigger - When Record is UpdatedActions - Find Records > Update RecordWith the intention of having it detect that a record was updated, and then reflect that update on the second table. For example if I updated a Customers name on "Bid Board," then the automation also correct it on "Pre-Approval."Testing the automation returns all check marks but actually trying it in live nothing happen

Hi, I have setup an airtable base to show tickets from another application (via a csv export). For higher management, we have filtered to show how many tickets each team has and what is outstanding and closed (as well as dashboards to have further insight into these tickets). I am unable to compare/show the % increase/decrease via Airtable. Below is in the interface but I'm hoping to show the % in the Data tab. For example Oct-Nov there was a 41% increase but I am unable to find a way of showing this.  The aim is to allow Month on Month, Quarter by Quarter and Half by Half comparisons in %.  

I want to create a conditional rollup field that only calcualtes the sum of values that are marked as Completed (so there’s a column with a checkbox - I only want to calcualte the totals if the row has that checkbox selected with a tick) - Makes sense? How do I do that? I know I can do that in Excel right? Can I do it in AirTable?

When importing a CSV with a multi-select column, Airtable will always detect commas as a separator and make tags from it. But in my case the tags contain commas I don’t want to have as a separator. Do you know any workaround to either avoid thos specific commas to be detected as a separator, or change the separator character ? Thanks !

Hi! I am working on maintaining student learning records. I have two multiple select fields: one with "Student" names and one with demonstrated "Competency". I would love to create new rows for each combination of Student and Competency, and copy over the same Date, Experience Description, and Location. For example, record number 2 on the screenshots,, I would like one record with the same date/description/location for Chloe/STEM-Scientific Application, one record with the same date/description/location for Chloe/Design-Outcome, one record with the same date/description/location for Emily/STEM-Scientific Application, Emily/Design-Outcome, one record with the same date/description/location for Kendall/STEM-Scientific Application, and one record with the same date/description/location for Kendall/Design-Outcome. 

Y’all! I need help with reporting. I NEED to be able to pull from multiple tables. Our database is almost entirely qualitative (we are tracking progress on a large health improvement plan). currently it appears I can only pull from one table at a time. OR good reporting app that integrates directly with Airtable? Tableau doesn’t integrate directly so I lose all the relationships I built between each data table. I’ve built a great database with no way to report out what is in it!..
